When she became suspicious...

Amila was in the class, attending her first period, physics. She was totally bored and zoning out most of the time. Omilia noticed it, as they both are seatmates, and whispered her something. Soon Amila's face lit up and she kept drawing in her textbook. Soon, the period was over and there she comes, her math teacher, as soon as she entered the class, she started teaching. Everyone was paying attention but,

''Amila.''

A voice called out to her, but she shrugged it off. Yet again,

''Amila..''

This time she decided to look for the owner of the voice even if she felt familiar, she saw Livia outside the classroom window, calling her name to get her attention and she showed her a puppy, she's carrying. Amila smiled at Livia and mouth's her, ''it's cute''. The student seating near the window looked at Amila weirdly. A student didn't bother it until he saw her almost talking to something outside the window, he checked it but found nothing rather than the puppy. ''Oh! So, she is talking with the puppy?!'', he thought. The teacher noticed Amila, ''Amila! What are you doing instead of paying attention here??'', she said. ''Nothing ma'am, I was just talking to a friend who was calling me, and maybe she doesn't know that I am in my class, I am sorry'', replied Amila. The teacher then went to the window and looked at the direction Amila pointed, but she didn't find no one. ''Are you fooling me Amila?'', asked the teacher calmly. ''No ma'am, she is just standing there'', for confirmation she looked at Livia and yes! She is standing there. The teacher again looked, but found nothing. ''Amila, are you eating properly these days? Are you okay? Do you need any help, dear?'', the teacher asked her worriedly and with concern.

''Ma'am, I am okay! But, did you really see no one there?'', *confusion*

''No one, dear.''

Amila sighed the teacher was still worried, however she continued her lessons. Omilia was confused with her behavior in the class, because she thought she was joking while introducing her 'new' friend to her, but now she is even talking to her in class?!

In the break time~

Amila went out to meet Livia. She was going towards the garden where no one comes because it is no longer the garden which it used to be. It is now an abandoned garden with little thorns but not that sharp and grass all over. But it is still peaceful. It is in the back of the school. As she was walking towards the garden, Omilia stopped her and asked her,

''Where are you going Ami? It's our break, don't you wanna eat your lunch? Or. You're going to meet your new friend again'', she sounded low after showing her lunch box to her, indicating her to join her as she always does.

''Don't worry bestie! I am always there with you, but for today. I am sorry, really sorry!'' She joined her hands as a sign of apology, with her concerned eyes.

''Hey! It's okay! Anyways if you need something call me okay? Don't be in there for too long. And remember-"

''To always keep your ears ringing and sound'', Amila completed her sentence.

Omilia released her huge sigh as she heard that, and made Amila chuckle at her response; sometimes she acts like if she will leave her, she will get lost and also she cares for like a mother. Omilia waved her a bye and went to eat lunch. Amila, however began to wonder while going inside the garden, ''Why was she not visible to the teacher and to others?'', ''Maybe I am overthinking'', she again released a big sigh and went to their favorite spot, in the middle of the garden near the small pond, where fishes once lived...

Her eyes wandered in search of the person she was looking for and finally found her.

Sitting at the grass wearing the white frock, looking pretty without doing anything, and singing a melody~

The melody was reminiscing her memories of her childhood when she was five..

Flashback~

''Ami don't go there! The fishes will be scared!'', shouted the little girl, who was Amila's best friend.

''Liv! You come here too!!! It's so much fun!'', shouted back with excitement, the little Amila, while putting her short legs in the water of the small pond but the water covered her legs and little portion of her shorts she was wearing.

''Don't always go in there like this! You might catch a cold!''

''C'mon Liv, you gotta try this for once!!"

Saying that Amila pulled her best friend towards her and made her stand in the pond, they were of the same height, so the water covered both of her legs and a little portion of her shirt too. And both of them started splashing water on each other, and the little fishes kept tickling them on their feet's. They enjoyed their time and their parents came to pick them up. ''OH NO!!'', both of them shouted in union and were ready to face the scolding's of their mothers together, but when nothing was heard they look up and saw their mothers standing near them and suddenly burst out laughing! They both were confused but then Amila and her best friend, in unison, asked, ''Are you not going to scold us mom...?'' Yes, they both called each other's mom as their mom, and their moms were best friends too. Their mom's then hold them and said, ''This time we won't yell at you because you're caught red-handed dear cutie. Because you two are too cute...!''

''Liv, then we should always be cute for mom so she will not scold us!'', little Amila said to her best friend and she agreed. Their moms again laughed and took them home.

To the present~

''Liv..'', Amila whispers out of her memory.

''So you do remember me...''
