Confronting the Might King

Mr. Herrick notices someone entering the mansion and he turns around to see who it is. Then we saw his eyes and we made eye contact.

Herrick : "Young prince, how is the restroom?"

He completely turned around and faced both Arhi and me.

Grel : "It is more than enough my King. I will remember your kindness."

Herrick laugh.

Grel : "Ahahahaha... Come, sit down there for a moment. Let's have a talk, shall we? And I thought you would be here alone."

He pointed at some of the chairs in front of me for a second. The table is long, the same size as the table in Bulwark mansion.

Arhi just half kneeled and bowed to him for a second as thanks.

Grel : "Thank you, my King. But..."

I struggle to continue my word as I know what he will answer.

Herrick : "Is something wrong?"

He looked at me with a serious expression. There's no other way. I'm prostration to him all of a sudden. Both Mr. Herrick and Arhi are shocked at what I'm doing as the son of the Bulwark Family Kingdom.

Grel : "Please! My King, lend your daughter to wield the sword with her for this time!"

It was silent, we could only hear the wind from the outside mansion breathing in a low voice since we were inside the mansion.

Mr. Herrick did not react or even answer it yet. Then he just turned around and ignored me. Arhi , seeing it, did not have anything to say, she was a bit sad knowing it.

Grel : "I will start my roam and hopefully I can find a way to end this endless war. And with the sword, it will help my party a lot. Please!"

I begged him pretty badly, but Mr. Herrick did not respond to my begging.

Herrick : "Where exactly do you want to go?"

He answered but still not facing us. Then I raised my head.

Grel : "I will get another crystal outside first for now, that's what I think."

Herrick : "Then?"

His words intimidated me this time.

Grel : "I... I'm not sure, but I believe there's a way out there."

Herrick : "Pointless."

I was surprised when he said that word.

Herrick : "I said it was pointless."

Grel : "But..."

Herrick : "Young prince, you think you have more knowledge than me?"

He turns around this time.

Herrick : "I was the one who obtained this crystal by myself. Which means I'm the chosen one here."

I did not answer the statement from him. While Arhi just turns directly into my body to avoid eye contact with him and closes her eyes.

Herrick : "*Sigh." *He turns around again, And I stand up. "The reason I put this sword and treasure it is that it would be used only when the next war comes. And that's the best decision to make And it will be done in the next generation with the same strategy as mine. Is it a bad idea to do this?"

He just turned his head and lurked at me. I did not answer him, since I can't argue with it.

Herrick : "Your journey to find another crystal was a good point, but when I heard you don't know what's the next plan, it's just the same as you act like a lost child."

The word hurt me and Arhi . He just turned his head again to the sword.

Grel : "No..."

He turned his head and lurked at me again.

Grel : "I believe there's another way to end this endless war. It was said deep in my heart, it says the same, over and over."

Grel : "I mentioned there's also the last Luna's family out there during the meeting. It also comes to my hope."

Grel : "Even though I don't know how... But I still believe there's a way to do it."

Herrick turned his body and faced me this time.

Herrick : "Your word is just hope. There's still no guarantee about it."

Herrick : "My words stay the same. The sword will remain here until the next war comes."

It frustrated me, he is right but it still frustrated me. But I can't argue with it...

Then suddenly someone opened the door from behind us. It was Fasmel .

Fasmel : "Enough Grel ..."

She walks toward me.

Fasmel : "I already told you I can wield any heavy sword before."

She said it with a low tone voice so Mr. Herrick her father, did not hear it.

Fasmel : "Let's just leave for now."

I see... It will remain the same answer as I expected...

Arhi just came closer to me and tapped my shoulder for a moment. I looked at her, she nodded to me and began to walk toward the exit door and leave the mansion. I looked at Mr. Herrick for a moment, he was still looking in my direction with a serious expression. Then I just half kneeled and bowed to him as if saying Thanks and was about to leave the mansion. Then I walk away toward the exit door leaving Fasmel behind still there. Fasmel saw me leaving the mansion, then she turned her face toward her father.

Fasmel : "I will go with Grel , father."

She just left and walked away toward the exit door. Mr. Herrick did not say anything as his daughter said it. It seems to have always happened like that before. Then we all already leave the mansion and close the door, leaving Mr. Herrick alone inside the mansion.

Mr. Herrick just turned around and saw the sword again.

Herrick : "I'm sorry, Fasmel . This is for the future of our people."

He looks at the sword still shining in the light of the moon.

Herrick : "Why... why did you not say a word to me... Sanah..."

The scene changed when we all three were walking back to my inn... We just walk in silence.

Arhi : "Hey Fasmel . How do you know we were there?"

Fasmel : "Of course, I know it. You both just went at night, there's no way you both did not go to my mansion."

I'm still thinking about the sword.

Grel : "I'm sorry Fasmel . I... Broke my promise to you."

Fasmel looking at me.

Fasmel : "That's fine. I also know that will going to happen."

Fasmel : "It's not your fault though you know. So don't think about it too much."

Fasmel : "Besides that... It's just not my sword... If that was my sword, I should be the one who obtain the crystal..."

Fasmel : "And if it's really my sword, it should be some fate that comes toward me to show it right? But I did not get any of it ahahaha..."

Her laugh is a bit cringe though. I understand she tried to cheer me up.

The sword owner... It was obvious the heavy sword inside was made for Fasmel . The red crystal shines like the aura Fasmel has. But... The one who can obtain the crystal is her father, not herself. My father said Mr. Herrick 's aura power is not red, but green. I don't understand.

Then we arrived at my inn. Seems like I can't sleep again tonight. Dai notices us coming back and welcomes us. While Kiwi ran toward Fasmel and hugged her leg again. Fasmel per her head.

Kiwi : "Where did you go?"

She looks at Fasmel .

Fasmel : "We just looking around for a bit, Kiwi ."

I look around, one, two, three, four... *Sigh. It is getting more packed somehow. And probably Dai or some of the girls could sleep in the middle and Kiwi was on top of them. I'm tired.

Dai : "I thought the young prince was going to sleep at the mansion."

Grel : "Well... Something just happened there."

I can't explain all of it since it is just too much. And we have Kiwi here too.

Dai : "Should I ask for another authorized young prince?"

Grel : "No... Don't... Please..."

Dai was just confused about what had just happened.

Grel : "I'm fine, you can take a rest here. I can stay awake and rest the next morning."

I walk toward the window and try to take a breath.

Dai , Fasmel , and Arhi just looked at each other for a moment.

Dai : "Then please there's a drink I prepared for you, it was my drink but I haven't drunk it and probably young prince needs it while staying awake."

She hands over the drink to me.

Grel : "Oh... A drink... Yea, I'll take it, I surely need this one."

Then I drink it. The taste was a bit bitter but still tasted good. Or is it some kind of mixed taste?

Then suddenly I felt dizzy. My eyes felt heavy all of a sudden.

Grel : "Hm? What just... Happen..."

Dai grabs the glass of drink from me, then I collapsed to the floor. Kiwi ran toward me.

Kiwi : "Ore? Mr. Grel is dead!"

Fasmel : "That's not right Kiwi ..."

The voice is a bit off, even though I'm near them. and slowly my consciousness begins to disappear and I'm completely closing my eyes.

The time skipped ahead the next morning. I quickly open up my eyes and wake up.

I thought I'm already dead... I look right and left. I was sleeping on the bed in my inn. Where's anyone?

Then someone opened the door. It was Dai .

Dai : "Ah... Good morning young prince."

I'm lurking at her.

Grel : "What did you do to me yesterday?"

Dai : "I'm sorry young prince, it was the order from young queen Arhi . It is just some sleeping drug to help the young prince sleep well."

I just look at Dai with a suspicious look.

Grel : "Don't try to do that again to me. You hear me?"

Dai : "Yes."

She bowed to me.

Grel : "Then... What do the girls do when I am sleeping?"

Dai : "They did not do anything other than lift the young prince's body onto the bed and sleep. But young queen Fasmel and Arhi resting and for another half of the night they both switch up and stay awake while the other sleep."

So, they both sleep for half of the night.

Grel : "Then where are they going right now."

While I'm moving my body and try to stand up and get off from bed.

Dai : "About that, they are both trying to find some weapon they will borrow while we leave the Kingdom."

Meanwhile on the other side, inside the arena weapon room.

Fasmel : "How am I supposed to do... My heavy sword edge is not sharp anymore. look."

She showed the heavy sword she had after fighting with Mr. Kim yesterday.

Arhi : "I don't know about that. There's another heavy sword here, you could just bring it with you."

Fasmel : "But the weight is different... I'm used to wielding this sword."

She cried. Meanwhile, Kiwi was running around in the middle of the arena, using both her hand and her leg like a real cat running around. She ran following the circle shape of the arena. She was excited since every time she ran, there was dust blasting behind her and she liked trying to catch the dust.

Arhi : "*Sigh. Then go repair it."

Fasmel : "But we will leave sooner, isn't it? There's no time."

Grel : "What are you two doing in here?"

Both Fasmel and Arhi were surprised after hearing my voice.

Fasmel : "K-Grel ? Good morning... hehe..."

Grel : "Good morning... Arhi ..."

Arhi flinched after I said her name.

Arhi : "G-Good morning..."

She slowly turned back and looked at me.

Grel : "Hmmm? That's weird... Dai told me you both did not do anything to me while I'm sleeping on the drug. It seems there's something else you both hiding from me..."

Arhi : "Wh-What do you mean?"

Grel : "You..."

I paused for a moment.

Grel : "Did not sleep right?"

Both Fasmel and Arhi : "Yes?"

Grel : "*Sigh. You both should just discuss it with me, I can try to find another restroom..."

Both Fasmel and Arhi mind: "Save..."

Back that night. While me and Kiwi sleeping on the bed, Fasmel and Arhi eagerly looked at my body part while I'm sleeping. Dai just standing beside me. Arhi tried to touch my shirt but Dai quickly slapped her hand.

Arhi : "Please just this time..."

Dai : "No... You already troubled me..."
