Chapter fifty
Arias pov
10 mins ago the doctor and nurses had rushed in to Selena's room, I don't know what hat to her, I was just sitting with her in the room and her breathing started becoming rigid, the machines started beeping, I called the nurse and when she saw her she rushed to call the doctor, they sent us all out and had been there without telling us a thing.
Hurried footsteps and the sounds of heels clicking came into my ear, but I was unfazed. " Aria, Aria, what happened with Selena" the voice said, it's Kendall, this voice belongs to Kendall.
I turned my face and I saw her walking towards me and by her side was Joseph holding Matteo. " What happened with Selena" she asked again.
" Kendall, you are here?. Who told you about Selena" I asked confused because I know full well I wasn't the one who did it.
" It was me, I believe Kendall has the right to know Selena's condition hence I told her" Steven said calmly.
" Kendall, am sorry, I didn't want to bother you, I know about Matteo's condition and I know you would just be more worried it I told you what happened with Selena. Kendall, will my daughter be alright" I asked with tearful eyes.
My heart craves comfort, if mom was herez she probably would have hugged and consoled me. But she wasn't here, but I know Kendall comfort would be as warm as a mother's, after all she had the heart of a mother to everyone in her life.
" Hush dear, oh you poor thing, rest assured Selena would be alright, am sure of it, after all she is the daughter of Aria Thayer isn't she" Kendall said hugging me and consoling me.
" Kendall it's been 30 hours, the doctors had been in there for so long yet they aren't telling me anything about my daughter, am really tensed Kendall" I said sobbing more in her embrace.
" Trust me, she would be alright" Kendall said again patting my head.
" Let me have a word with the doctors" Joseph said and handed Matteo to Steven. When he went to enter the room a nurse stopped him.
" Sorry sir, no one is allowed to enter for now" she said blocking his path. " Not even a doctor?" He asked. Her face turned into a question mark. Joseph bought out his Id card and showed it to her. " Doctor Joseph Rossi" he said.
" Am so sorry sir I didn't recognize you, you may go in" she said and stepped aside. Joseph is a renowned neurosurgeon after all so it's only natural if she let him in.
After Joseph entered we waited for some more minutes, another 5 minutes and Joseph came out along with the other doctor and nurses. They exchanged a few words and the doctor went his way.
" Selena is conciousness now, you can see her, but avoid making too much noise and don't stress her" he warned.
I rushed into the room while Steven, Kendall and Joseph trailed behind.
My heartbroke after seeing my sweet girl, she was lying there very pale in the hospital bed. I took small steps towards her afraid of disturbing her, but she turned to look me right in the eye which gave me a sense of relief.
Tears streamed down my eyes as I sat close to her held her. " Mommah, please don't cry" she said in a weak voice.
I cleaned my tears and forced a smile, " don't worry baby, mommah isn't crying, am just glad to see you open your eyes again, I was so scared" I said patting her hand.
She attempted to sit down but I held her down, " no, don't sit up yet okay" I said to her worried that something would happen if she sits abruptly.
" Mommah don't worry, Selena is okay, am just feeling very hungry and weak" she said. " Don't worry dear, let me order some food for you from the cafeteria, what would you like to eat?" Joseph asked.
" Anything uncle Josie" she said with a smile. Since Joseph was a doctor he knows what's suitable for her consumption right now so I needn't worry.
Joseph went out to get her food while Steven and Kendall moved closer to us. " My dear, how are you feeling right now, where does it hurt, do you want something" Kendall shot a number of questions at Selena on the spot.
" Am okay aunty kendy, and no I don't want anything, how is Matteo, I missed you two so very much" she replied with her sweet smile.
" Matteo is okay dear, we both miss you two, you need to recover as soon as possible so that you can play with Matteo" Kendall said touching selenas head.
" Dont worry aunty kendy, I will eat alot of food and take all my medicines then I will be okay and I can play with you and Matteo again right" Selena replied with excitement about playing with her baby cousin.
" Right" Kendall answered and pecked her cheek. " So you talked to everyone and forgot about me, do you know how sad I am" Steven said dramatically. " I always knew it Stevie, you are a big baby. I didn't forget you and I can never forget you, I miss you too alot" she replied.
" Oh that's better, I thought you forgot all about me" Steven said again and Selena laughed. It felt so good to see her alright and smiling now, I can't wait to ask her the big question about what happened but now is not the right time.
Claire and George hadn't come to the hospital again since last night. A few minutes later, Joseph can in with a bowl of soup.
Selena happily took the bowl of soup and started drinking, laughing and talking with us, all of a sudden she dropped the bowl of soup on the floor and it broke with a thud, her pupils enlarged.
" What happened sweetheart?" I asked turning towards the direction she was looking at. It was George and Claire, " mommah I don't want them here, please send them out, am very scared" Selena said trembling.
" Why what happened dear" I asked again. " Mommah please send him out or else he would hit me again" she said dropping the the big bomb.
" WHAT?"....
