"The results are in.

The top three from the civilian groups are, Satomi Taro in third place, Sakura Haruno in second place, and in the first place, Na-Naruto Uzumaki." With gritted teeth, Mizuki called out the results.

He couldn't manipulate the fights as he planned now that the Hokage himself was observing them.

Clap, clap, clap.

A round of applause rang out from the children as well as the Hokage, encouraging the children to try their hardest to perform their best.

"The next batch of spars will now start. First match, Shikamaru Nara vs Choji Akimichi. Come forward. Make the peace sign." Mizuki called out the clan kids now, as a pineapple head and a foodie walked up.

"What a drag. Why do we have to spar in class?" Shikamaru lazily walked up, as Choji had his hand in a packet of chips.

"Do your best guys. Shikamaru, Choji all the best." Naruto cheered on from the side as he saw his friends walk into the sparring ring.

"And START"

"I give up." As soon as Mizuki gave the signal, Shikamaru raised his hand, causing all the people to sweatdrop at the laziness displayed.

"um, Shikamaru, maybe at least try a bit before giving up. What do you say?" Mizuki awkwardly smiled as he tried to convince the clan heir to fight.

'damn brat. Why are you making me look bad in front of the Hokage? If you weren't a famous clan's heir, I would have smacked you in the head right this second.'

"What's the point? While I may be faster than Choji, I am still not strong enough to push him out of the ring. Also, Choji doesn't want to fight as well. So, I gave up." Shikamaru explained his thought process as he walked back to the line of students, overseeing the matches.

"He's right Mizuki. If the child doesn't want to fight, who are we to force him. Give him some time in the Academy, he will learn how to fight properly anyways." The Hokage chuckled at the boy's lazy attitude and gestured Mizuki to continue with the spars.

"Ahem. Next, Ino Yamanaka versus Sakura Haruno. START"

What followed was the ugliest catfight ever recorded. While Ino might be a clan heir, she had not had much training in Taijutsu yet. She was treated like the princess that she is by her father, who claimed she still had time to enjoy her life before her actual training began.

"Stop. The winner is Ino Yamanaka, Sakura Haruno is out of bounds." While Ino didn't have much fighting experience, she still had some intelligence. Seeing how Naruto dodged the opponents and used their own momentum against them, Ino employed a similar tactic, when Sakura rushed at her with a punch charged up.

"Next, Sasuke Uchiha vs Naruto Uzumaki." 'let's see how you manage to win this fight. Sasuke is from The Uchiha clan, moreover, he is the younger brother of Itachi Uchiha, the famous prodigy of the Uchiha clan. Let's see you get humiliated demon brat.' With malice in his eyes, Mizuki called out the match.

"Give up Dobe, I'm going to win anyway. No need to embarrass yourself." Sasuke spoke as soon as he entered the ring, with a 'cool' aura surrounding him, as hordes of fan girls and some fanboys, ahem, started shouting.

"Sooo cool."

"Sasuke-sama is the best."

"Give up Naruto. Don't taint Sasuke sama with your uselessness." A certain pinkette yelled.

"Tsk. Are you that much of a coward, Teme? You don't even think you can win, that's why you want me to give up, isn't that right?" Naruto, not falling for the 'obvious' trap that the boy in front of him set out, yelled back. This was of course met with a screech from the fan girls.

"Che. You think I'm afraid of you. Bring it on. I'll show you the might of the Uchiha." Waiting for the signal from the proctor, Sasuke got into a stance, as did Naruto.

"Very well. I'll show you what it means to be the strongest."

"START"

As soon as the signal was given, naruto and Sasuke rushed ahead, right arms cocked back, full of power.

Coming close, naruto placed his left foot forwards, past Sasuke, and so did Sasuke. Both twisted their bodies quickly, the power built up in their arms releasing forwards.

Bang.

A solid hit to the chest. Both Naruto and Sasuke stumbled back, clutching their chests, one glaring at the other in annoyance, the other glaring at his with excitement in his eyes.

"Finally, a worthy opponent. Our battle will be Legendary."
