Training against a robot.

I woke up early and noticed a certain somebody resting by my side with her arm over my chest.

'She seems to be asleep still.' I thought as I gently moved her arm off of me and slid myself out from under the covers. I made sure Kore was covered and comfortable before grabbing some combat robes and quietly exiting my room and heading off to a training room, T-W1.

I seemed to be the only one up as I could sense Yuki asleep and Baal, I didn't know where she had ran off to but she wasn't home.

I arrived at the training room T-W1 and decided against using Adonis for my training so I picked up a wooden spear laying on the sidelines with multiple others. I picked one up off of the rack and gave it a twirl before adjusting my grip and pulling out a training robot. I set it so it was on the lowest setting and began fighting it.

Due to it being on the lowest setting, it was rather slow but it was definitely better than me at wielding the spear. I had enough time to move around and attack as I wished since it was so slow to my eyes but my attacks were clumsy and ineffective, I had to get better, that was the reason I stayed in the dungeon and if I couldn't even improve then what was the point. There wasn't, so I needed to improve on all aspects of myself including mentally.

My biggest weakness at the moment is those that I care for and my mentality. If I saw someone that looked like those people that experimented on me in my previous life then I'm sure I'd freeze up or just run as far away as possible. I shivered at that thought and almost got hit by the robot's spear, thankfully I dodged and hit it at its shoulder joint causing it to skid backwards with a damaged shoulder.

'Let's just focus on fighting for now. I can think of this later.' I jumped forwards and thrust my spear at its already weakened joint. The robots arm got ripped out leaving tangled wires that sparked ever now and then hanging out from where the arm should be.

The robot charged forward, seemed more like someone going at the pace slower then that of a snail to me but that doesn't matter, and swung its spear round to my side. I ducked down low and the spear passed over me before I rotated my body around and kicked the base of the robots legs.

The robot did some sort of out of control ariel kind of thing and landed with its legs over its head and its one and only arm underneath its chest.

I jumped up and flipped before falling down on top of the 'robot heap' with my spear piercing through the surface of its body. A wooden spear with my weight landing on anything metal wouldn't do too much to it depending on the height I fall at of course but from me jumping up a bit? It wouldn't do much damage but that was what I was aiming for. I didn't want to destroy the robot, after all, it's only being used for my training and not an actual enemy. If it was then it would've been a different story.

'I'll changed its settings to something higher. I'll increase it until it gets to something I can keep up with and won't struggle too much.'

I kicked the side of the robot so it was laying out on the ground flat without being a heap of metal. I proceeded to change it to a higher setting then previously used and jumped back, waiting for the robot to get up and start moving again.

'Is it going to move or did I forget to start the programming?' I thought after a minute passed of me waiting.

I walked forwards and saw the side of the robot twitch before it sprung up and charged at me. It was still slow but if it had been on a higher setting then it would've been hard to dodge.

'Did I type in the wrong setting? I must've, this is too fast and the strength put into that was much higher then what I input into its system.'

I eyed it's movement while dodging all attacks sent my way.

'I'll have to get a look at its back to try catch a glimpse at its settings.' I thought as I used [Flash steps] to instantly get behind it without it knowing. 'As I thought, I typed in an extra number into its coding. I can still work with it on this setting so no matter.'

The robot twirled around and snapped me out of my thoughts rather forcefully with a spear being flung passed my head.

My only thoughts as it passed my head were, 'that would've hurt if I didn't dodge… and could feel pain… and had a weaker body.'

The wooden spear clashed with the wall behind me so I used [Flash steps] to go grab it and chuck it at the robot. It wasn't intended as an attack but the robot failed to catch it and got hit in the process.

'That was something I didn't expect.. I'll ignore that.'

The robot clumsily picked up the weapon and began fighting again with perfect proficiency. 'Clearly wasn't programmed to catch things and only how to fight.'

The robot swung its spear down on my head to which I side stepped but it still nicked the ends of my robe and I kicked forwards at the robots abdomen. The robot grabbed my leg as it was just an inch away from hitting it and was about to stab through me with its spear. I wasn't going to have that so I twisted my body around and kicked it's head with my other foot before landing on the ground with a small spin and dust being lifted to the air.

'Already 16%? I guess I have been using my body to fight as well so it makes sense… kind of.'

The robot lifted itself of the ground as I finished thinking over the notification I gained from the system.

I spun my spear around and slashed down at the robot who blocked it with its own spear, I guided mine away from the robots and thrusted it at the robots leg. It jumped backwards before charging back forwards with its spear being swung at my head, I ducked underneath with it skimming over me as I pushed forwards. I stabbed through the left side of its torso and kicked at its right side making it twirl around before I stabbed my spear at its back.

The robot went tumbling forward and jumped backward, lifting itself into the air. It did a flip and stabbed down as it passed over my head, I side stepped it and jumped up to get above the flying robot. I flipped and shot my leg out. My leg kicked down onto the top of the robots metallic shell causing it to go pummelling to the ground, lifting dust into the air on its impact.

The robots system shut itself off as I landed. 'I guess I could take a break and grab something to eat. Not that I'm hungry but it's for the best.'

I dusted of my robes and placed the spear back with the others before making my way to the door. 'Is Kore trying to scare me by hiding behind the door or something? She probably shouldn't stand there, the door would open and hit her in the face.'

I could sense Kore trying to hide herself at the frame of the door, awaiting my exit. Eventually I got to the door but I stopped just in front of it. "Kore, if I open the door then you'll get hit."

"Tch, you're no fun." Kore said as she opened the door for me. "Hm, you're right, I would've been hit wouldn't I?" She laughed at her comment before grabbing me by the arm. "Let's go and grab something to eat."

"I was planning on doing exactly that." I gave a small smile to Kore as we walked to the kitchen.
