Learning from Kore.

We held each other as we wept until our tears had finally stopped and I felt as if something I had held in was finally released. I felt free of the shackles my emotions held over me.

"Thank you." I whispered as I leant back to face Kore.

"You shouldn't be thanking me, I haven't done anything." Kore smiled at me sweetly, I returned it with my own, "in all of your lives you've always looked similar but your beauty overwhelms me like always." Kore giggled as she spoke.

"So I've always looked like this?"

Kore spoke softly as she caressed my head, "Yes, your human form has always looked like this. A very beautiful woman. Your smile makes me feel weak every time I see it."

Kore buried herself in my cleavage and wrapped her arms around my back and looped her hands round to my shoulders.

Our soft moment was interrupted by Yuki scratching on the door, yapping away.

"You've still got that divine beast?" Kore asked me as we stood up.

"Yeah. Should I not?" I asked.

"Kii, do what you want, I can't tell you what to do." She smiled gently at me as we walked towards the door, hand in hand.

"*yip**yip*?" -> "Baal woke me up and said you were in here. She also said you were sorting out your trauma, are you alright Kiera?"

I opened the door and Yuki rushed to me and jumped to my arms. Kore used her spare hand to grab Yuki by the scruff of her neck.

"*yip*?!" -> "why is there a goddess here?!"

"So you can remember me or is it your senses telling you that?"

"*yip*!" -> "It's my senses, now put me down! Only Kiera can touch me!"

"Only Kii can?" Kore turned to me and dropped Yuki to the floor, "I guess the same goes for me."

Kore moved me closer to me and kissed me before looking back at Yuki, "Silly beast. I'm her lover and I know you're trying to mark her. Kii can do what she wants so don't forcefully do it or I will do some things you would rather not know." Kore smiled but it wasn't a sweet smile but one that held anger and bloodlust behind it. She clearly meant it as a threat.

Trying to break the tension between them, I squeezed Kore's hand, "Calm down." I smiled at her.

"*yap*" -> "Kiera is actually smiling. Never thought I'd see this."

My face went back to being emotionless as I looked down at Yuki.

"I'm only this way to Kore." I said firmly.

"Haha, it's my honour~" Kore hummed. "Be a dear and leave us alone for a bit, little beast."

"*yap**yap*" -> "Now that's unfair, I'm staying here with Ki-"

Kore waved her hand and space distorted around us both before teleporting us outside of the ravine and in the forest.

"*sigh* you've always liked that little beast." Kore shook her head with a sigh.

"I have?"

"Mmm." Kore hummed in reply, "In your previous life you also had that little beast with you though she wasn't very little back then."

"Ah, so that's why Yuki only allows me to touch her, it's because she has a sense of familiarity with me unlike everyone else."

"Correct~" Kore grabbed my hand and pulled me along, "let's have a little look around."

"Alright." I smiled tenderly at the goddess in front of me, leading me by hand.

'I still rather to not show my emotions so I'll only show them to people I love. Despite me regaining emotion I still feel the same as when they were locked unless I'm around Kore. It's strange but not unwelcome.' I thought as I wandered through the forest after Kore.

We walked for an hour or so before Kore stopped and turned to face me.

"Kii~"

"Yes?" I replied.

"Would you like me to teach you some magic?" Kore took small steps towards me with a smile and stopped right in front of me.

"What element will we focus on?"

"You don't have anything to heal with do you? We could also try the mental affinity magic, that could be useful." Kore took a moment to think then looked back at you, "what do you want to try?"

"I wouldn't mind either. Mental seems like it would be useful in multiple ways but healing is very important. Could we try mental magic first?"

"Of course! Baal also knows mental magic so she can help at times." Kore smiled gleefully.

"Do you know how to teach spacial magic?"

Kore giggled and spoke teasingly, "You have the blessing from Astraea do you not? You should ask her, she is much more adept to spacial magic. I mean she IS the goddess of it after all."

"How do I ask her when I've never spoken to or seen her?"

"Just call her name, she is rather fond of you. Oh, while we are on the topic of spacial magic, Astraea can also teach you star, moon and sun magic."

"Star magic? I've heard of sun magic and moon magic from ancient records of the dragons but never have I heard of star magic, is it powerful?"

"More than you can imagine my darling~"

"I'll have to try it out then." I said with a small smile.

Kore clapped her hands together and leaned forwards, "let's start with mental magic first, okay Kii?"

"If you don't mind." I smiled.

"Let's start with a basic rundown then. Mental magic or mind magic as it's otherwise known as is, just as the name suggests, to do with the mind. There are multiple ways to use mental magic like, for example, fully taking control of the targets mind or planting small ideas in their minds. There are also spells that allow one to peer into the targets mind and know their thoughts and feelings. Of course there are many more ways to use this magic but these are the most common, well, not the 'taking control of the targets mind' as that is very difficult but many have tried but ultimately failed."

I gave a brief nod and Kore continued.

"How to use mental magic? Well it can be quite difficult but first of all is that you've got to understand your brain and everything you do before you can even attempt at trying to influence someone else's mind with magic.

The brain is a very complex organ in the body, it has control over every process that regulates our body. The things the brain has control over include your thoughts, memory, emotion, touch, motor skills, vision, breathing, temperature, hunger, and various other important things such as your senses and behaviour. The brain, together with your spinal cord, make up your central nervous system.

Though I must say this, although I've said your brain has control over your memories, the same can be said for your soul. The soul makes up your very being but we don't need to know about this until you start learning soul magic, if you learn soul magic. The soul is connected with the mind and that's all you need to know."

I nodded, "I know this. Is there anything else I need to know?"

"A few things and that's it. When using mental magic you need a clear state of mind. You know how to lock your emotions so if your mind isn't clear then you could just do that. Also when using mental magic, if the target is young then it is easy to break them as their minds are fragile. In addition to this, if the target has a weak mind then they are easier to influence and if they have a strong mind then it'll be harder depending on how stronger their mind is. If your mind is weaker than the targets then you'll have an incredibly hard time trying to influence them so keep this in mind."

"Alright, got it."

"Shall we begin learning then?" Kore smiled and I gave a nod of affirmation.
