7 Bow training and new skill.

(A/N - thank you to those who continue reading this although it's not the greatest, I appreciate it.)

..

I exited mother's study and Adele led me outside to the smooth stone surface where targets had been set up.

Surprisingly the bow was easy to carry, I thought it would be heavy. I assume my stats have improved while I was growing.

Ah ok so it seems my stats grow as a I grow older and the average human HP would be around 100-120 but since I'm a dragon I wonder how much I'll have when I'm grown up.

"Alright Kiera I'm going to show you a basic stance to take while shooting."

"Okay where should I stand?"

Adele drew a line about 12 metres away from the target in chalk she took out from the pocket in the front of her maids outfit.

"Stand on the line sideways on. If your right handed have your left side facing the target if your left handed have your right side facing the target."

I positioned myself lie Adele told me with my left side facing the target and my left hand holding the bow. Turning my head to Adele I tilted my head at what to do next.

"Good now hold your left arm straight with the bow firmly in your hands on the little groves meant for your hands. Ah wait I forgot the arrows I'll be right back!" Adele said rushing off inside to come back out 10 seconds later carrying a small black leather quiver and 15 arrows neatly inside.

Adele gave me the quiver which I slung over my back angled so the top was at my right shoulder and the bottom of the quiver was on my left lower back.

"Take out and arrow and there should be a very tiny wooden part that slightly sticks out to resting the arrow on there and make sure the fletching when the arrow is released will move smoothly if the bow."

I did as Adele said and positioned the arrow on the bow before looking back again signalling I've done as she said.

"Now use 3 fingers and pull back the bow string and make sure the right arm is pulled back and your hand is aligned with just below your chin."

Adele came over adjusting my position a little then saying,

"Perfect, now if you will, could you aim the arrow at the red circle in the centre of the target. That will be your aim for today, just hit that once and you've accomplished your goal. Alright? I'll be sitting over there so call if you need me."

'Alright sounds easy enough I can do that, yeah.'

Adjusting the trajectory I aimed the arrow at the red circle in the centre but once I released the arrow the aim tilted up a bit hitting the wooden wall conveniently placed behind the target.

'Ah okay so once I release the string the power from drawing back will move the bow a little. That's going to be a problem.' I thought, racking my brain on how I should stop that.

I positioned myself again and this time fully concentrated on all factors that could change the trajectory of my arrow. Taking a deep breath and closing my eyes, slowly breathing out I sharply opened my eyes and drew back the arrow releasing it. The arrow flew across those 15 metres easily and hit the target on the yellow ring just outside of the red centre point.

"Okay so I was close let's aim a lit-"

New skills learnt - Skills: [Bow mastery: 5%] , [Perfect aim: 5%] have been added to your skills list.

I was interrupted by a system notification telling me about my new skills. I further inspected the skills giving me a short description of them both.

..

[Bow mastery: 5%]

You are learning to master the bow. Your skill in training with the bow has been doubled making it twice as always to master. Once full mastered you will be a natural with the bow with unparalleled skill.

[Perfect aim: 5%]

Your aim has improved significantly and once this skill is at 100% you will never miss a target.

..

'This is actually really good. If I was able to show my emotions I'd be grinning like a fool right about now.'

I then continued to shoot arrows, adjust myself and slowly improving until before I knew it 4 hours had already passed and it was time for my lunch.

My skills had improved a little and they were both at 7%. Adele and I walked back inside and Adele led me to the dining room where mother was already seated Along with Violet, Azazel, Aiden and Leo seated with their maids behind them. Violet had Kate as her maid while both Aiden and Azazel had Lynda as theirs as Aiden always was around Azazel. Leo was quite timid and he had Sophie as his maid and he was still warming up around her.

"Hello everyone." I walked into the room but was swarmed in a second.

Azazel ran and jumped at me into my arms while Aiden hugged me with Violet and Leo was pinching onto my sleeve then holding my left hand

"Again? You really don't need to do this all the time." I said patting Leo with the hand he was holding onto.

"We're still going to to this anyway." Azazel said pouting. "You're comfy and warm plus your really nice to us."

Everyone nodded in unison and mother giggled. Turning my head to mother she stopped instantly and went back to eating her food.

"*sigh* Come on back to the table." I said taking them all back to their seats and planting myself down in a chair with Adele behind me.

Mother snapped her fingers and a steak appeared on my plate with some carrots and mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked at a nice medium rare and had its juices flow out whenever I cut into it. I wolfed down my food, fast but with proper etiquette and a blank emotionless face. Once I swallowed all my food mother said to me,

"Kiera how did you do with your bow today? Did you enjoy it?"

"Yes mother, it's very nice and I'm starting to get the hang of it but I still need to go back once everyone is finished so I can reach the aim Adele wanted me to try and accomplish."

"Very well, you don't need to wait for us to finish you can go now sweetie."

"Thank you mother, I shall take my leave then."

"Mommy can we go and see Big sissy training?" Violet said with Kate wiping her mouth with a napkin.

"Kiera darling is that alright with you?"

"Do as you wish, I do not mind." I said shrugging as I left the room with Adele rushing up behind me.

I really didn't care if they watched or not but I'm not used to being around people and my memories from before being tortured by those scientist guys in my past life are all hazy and I can't recall any of it, so I don't really know how to treat people.

"Princess you should show your emotions more you know?" Adele said looking at me moving her cheeks with her fingers making her smile.

"Adele, I've already told you not to call me princess."

We arrived back at the training area and I continued to shoot arrows at the target while adjusting my aim little by little until one arrow flew towards the target board and hit the small red circle in the centre.

Feeling a little smug I went back to collect my arrows and going again and again and again.

"Sissy!" Violet shouted running up to me hugging my leg.

"Be careful, I'm holding a weapon you could get hurt if your not taking enough care." I replied sternly making sure she knew.

"Okaayy." Violet said giving me a big grin before running back to mother where Aiden and Azazel waved at me eagerly.

Sighing I returned my focus to my body, it's position, my heartbeat and breathing pattern then shifting my focus to the target, it's size and our distance.

Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly I opened my eyes and drew back the string of my bow and fired off the arrow. My aim was on point and hit the target dead centre yet again.

I turned round when I heard a gasp and I saw everyone mouths agape and mother covering her mouth, blinking in disbelief.

"I think we can move onto the next stage since you hit the bullseye, very well done princess." Adele said clapping.

I turned my head back round and pulled another arrow from the quiver.

"Not yet, I haven't hit the bullseye 100% of the time. I just got lucky. Let me do this for another day or two and then we can move on. Is that alright with you, coach?" I said before releasing the arrow hitting the yellow around the red centre but it was extremely close to being another bullseye.

"Sure!" Adele said looking very cheery.

I continued practicing until dinner and did some more studies after my dinner in mother's study. I was doing some reading until my mother came in telling me I should sleep, so I did.

The next 2 days I continuously shot my arrows, collected and repeated until I hit bullseye every shot I took.

..

<*ping*>

Skills [Bow mastery] and [Perfect aim] have reached 20%.

Warning: when aiming you may find your vision becomes sharper until your shot is taken.

..

'Great now I can move onto the next stage of training as this seems at a good point to switch methods.' I thought on my way walking towards Adele whim was sitting down asleep. She obviously got bored waiting and watching.

Stepping up to Adele I poked her head with my tail which woke her up startled, instantly drawing her hands to her head.

"What was that for?!" She asked switching her vision from my eyes to tail and back. She lifted up her hand moving my tail away while laughing nervously.

"Well you were sleeping so I needed a way to wake you up and this seemed most effective. Anyway I'm ready for the next training method." I said yawning.

"Riiight.." Adele said. "Okay we are going to start stage two right away then. This time the target will simply just be moving left to right. Just hit bullseye like before."

Adele walked over to the target and cast a spell on the target then making it move side to side slowly.

"Once you hit bullseye and your alright with hitting the bullseye multiple times in a row with the target moving this speed tell me and I'll increase the speed."

"Alright got it thanks." I said walking back up to the line.

I pulled an arrow from my quiver and drew back my bow's string. I felt my vision grow sharper along side the rest of my senses, it felt like the surroundings became slower. Looking at the target it looked like it was moving slower than I could walk, even a slug could move faster. I released my fingers from the string letting the arrow fly. I hit the bullseye with ease. I did that for the rest of the arrows that were inside my quiver, all of which hit the bullseye.

"Hey Adele, can you make it go faster it's too slow?" I asked scratching my head.

"What! Already?!"
