A new dungeon discovery (3)

Our journey throughout the dungeon proceeded at a slow pace so we could take in our surroundings and observe every motion around us to the best of our abilities, making sure no creature would be able to ambush us and take in where certain beings lived.

I walked towards the front with Tess and Scarlet still but Jayden decided to come to the front as well. We all knew why and that was because he wanted to fight any and every monster we come across.

I was constantly using [Mastered spacial awareness] so I knew everything that happened around me making it much more relaxing than it could have been.

"Did you see how I killed that lizard thing that was on fire! Hahaha, I need something stronger than those god damn creatures to injure me!" Jayden kept saying things about how great he was at fighting and how he wished for a stronger fight which got annoying quickly so I ignored him.

'There is a group of Salamanders approaching us from our left. 27 of them. Levels ranging from 24-49. They should be easy to deal with.' I thought to myself.

I transformed Adonis into a bow with some arrows and proceeded to fire of arrows in that direction.

"What the heck are you doing? Have you gone brain dead?" Jayden looked at me amused.

"No. I'm killing Salamanders." I replied as I fired off more arrows that I had enhanced with both [Wind enhancer] and [Lightning enhancer] with fire covering the head of the arrows.

"What salamanders? Where are they."

"To our left. About 127 metres away and hidden in some bushes. It's a group of 27 of them. They are all low ranked monsters."

"Oi! Leave some for me." Jayden grumbled as he dashed off in that general direction and jumped into the bushes.

"How do you always manage to find out where the monsters exact locations are?" Scarlet sighed.

I just shrugged in reply as I fired off another three arrows in quick succession.

"Well let's head over to that direction then." Scarlet said as we fastened our pace and went over to the now dead group of salamanders.

"Kiera! You killed most of them, you could have left more for me you know." Jayden said with a sigh.

"Whatever."

"Are there anymore monsters in our area, Kiera?" Scarlet asked as she turned her head in my direction, "Since you seem to know the exact locations of them, you can guide us."

"Do you want to fight them all or stay clear of them all apart from the boss?" I asked.

"We will fight them all for battle experience." Scarlet replied, earning multiple nods from everyone in our group.

"If we go north west for 622 metres and then take a left turn we should meet a pack of fire dire wolves." I said.

"I'm not going to question that." Scarlet sighed, "Just lead the way."

I did exactly as asked and took us to the nearest enemies.

Fire dire wolves were unlike regular wolves and were presented with scruffy fur and a visible rib cage filled with fire. Their eyes would be replaced with flames and they only had the single element of that fire. They were fast, agile and relatively strong.

Just before we arrived at the pack of wolves you could already hear their howls and sound of them scampering here and there. Some wolves were fighting others by pinning them to the floor and biting down by their neck. The one on the floor would most likely use their hind legs to kick the other away before continuing the tussle.

Our group snuck around the wolves and tried to encircle them without them knowing of us being here but Jayden didn't comply and just jumped right on in.

"Haha! Let's see who kills the most!" He shouted while a wolf pounced at him and knocked him over.

It was a rather large pack consisting of 53 of them with around the same levels with the lowest being the level of 14 and highest being 21.

"I'll just watch and keep guard." Scarlet said.

"Do we all have to fight?" Catherine asked.

"You don't if you don't want to since the situation is under control."

"I'm sitting out from this one then."

"Very well."

I decided to fight since I wanted to gain as many levels as I could while in this dungeon and get as close as I could to another evolution which is far off at the moment.

Creating a small hurricane in my palm, I swirled fire into the mix and flung them of at the wolves. Once the small hurricane left my hand it began to enlarge and engulf an area while turfing up the ground and hitting the wolves. Without letting the wolves have a chance to retaliate I fired off air bullets that were aimed in between their eyes and pierced through their skull to their brain.

Tess jumped in to kill some wolves as well, using her sword to stab through their legs, paws, chest, skull, wherever she could and take them down in swift, fluid-like motions.

Jayden didn't care what he did and just fought wildly, just like the wolves and he would punch them of throw the poor things.

"Watch where your throwing things, you almost hit me!" Tess shouted as she ducked under a wolf that had been thrown away by Jayden.

"It won't matter as long as you get away quick enough so no complaining if you get hit." He replied as he proceeded to grab another wolf by the neck and slam it on the ground before placing his foot on its rib cage and stabbing it in the head with his sword.

"Moron." Tess muttered as she returned to fighting.

"I'll stop it before it hits you so just focus on fighting." I said to Tess, not taking my focus of the four wolves that were jumping at me all together.

"Thank you." Tess said with a bright smile.
