Chapter 55

And in that familiar dream... Rain was pouring hard as I stood still under the cloudy sky

Wet by the rain I looked up and closed my eyes to feel the rain drop on my face and body

I clenched my hands tightly, and when I finally opened my eyes again it was no longer raining

I looked around to see Josefina, Claude, and Athy happily chatting under a tree having a picnic

Giggling in an open area where grass all over and trees everywhere ,It was just us four...

As I just stood there staring at the three of them, Athy noticed me and smiled brightly at me

I was surprised at the sudden change of atmosphere

Waving her hand telling me to come close with Claude looking at me happily too as same with Ina

I was used to seeing Ina and Athy smiling sweetly at me, Claude is smiling yet I can feel his hatred towards me...

But in this dream is an exception, he smiles at me as if it was normal for him and me to be this close

My mind was weary and yet my body isn't, it's as if my body has a mind of it's own

It's as if my body is used to this kind of interaction of me and Claude...

My body reacted normally as I come close to the three of them, walking slowly towards them

But...

Everytime I took a step forward the three of them would step back still smiling back at me

I looked at them in confusion but still tried to walk to them faster...

"Huff.. Hufff.. Huff"

And yet everytime I tried to get close, no matter how fast I run to them

I still can't get close until I finally gave up and stood there catching my breath looking at them from afar

I can feel my clothes full of sweat when my surroundings then became dark...

"Follow..."

Someone whispered

I looked around to see who it was, but there was no one around

I was alone in this pitch black room

"You must Follow..."

It kept on repeating to follow

I furrowed my brows and clenched my fists

"Follow what?!"

I shouted in anger while looking around frantically

"Follow the story..."

It whispered again

"What story?"

I asked in confusion

"You must follow the story to continue with your lives, that is the only way.... The only way..."

As it whispers in my ear and covered my face with it's hands

I was petrified, I tried moving but I can't seem too

I just stood there doing nothing and to finally feel a drop of rain on me

I was again under the rain soaking wet when I finally opened my eyes again

And in this rain in the middle of it all, it was Claude...

With a sword on his hand with bloody clothes looking down to body with a pool of blood

I went near him having a bad feeling I ran towards him

"Claude!!"

I shouted for his name

He turned to look at me with cold and empty eyes

Wet as me under the rain and below him, Athy who was laying lifeless with her blood all over her white dress under the rain

My heart sank...

I can't move, I was shaking in disbelief

"Huff... Huff... Huff"

I was breathing heavily, I was speechless

My legs were shaking when I was about to fall

I came back to my senses and without thinking I charged at Claude and grabbed his collar and shook him roughly

"What the f**k did you do Claude!?"

I shouted in anger shaking him still

I can feel my tears falling down as I said those in anger

I felt this scene has happened a lot of times now...

A familiar feeling...

Something I forgot...

But Claude only looked down at Athy with empty eyes

"Tsk!"

I clicked my tongue and grabbed his collar again and punched his face as hard as I can

He fell down with his cheek bruised and bloody mouth

He then looked up at me with empty eyes and mumbled

"They made me do it..."

"Who's they?!"

I shouted angrily at him

"They won't stop making me... I had to kill her to follow the story... They made me do it... They took control of me..."

He kept on mumbling

That story again...

I was aware I was in a dream and yet this dream felt so real, it's like it already happened

"..."

"..."

The both of us went quiet when all we can hear is the pouring rain with Athy's pool of blood

Ina then suddenly appeared out of the blue and came running to Athy shouting

"ATHY,NO! PLEASE WAKE UP I'M BEGGING YOU!"

As tears fell down crying loudly hugging her tightly without even bothering to give us a glance she cried

"I DON'T WANT THIS STORY!"

Josefina shouted in grief and anger hugging Athy tightly

Claude who's still on the ground mumbling to himself finally crying and grabbed his crying even more

And I who just stood there staring at the both of them

"AAAAAHHHHH!!"

Josefina shouted

As she shouted my surroundings became black to open my eyes again

I was walking through a long quiet hallway the sun was about to set where I was all alone walking silently

All I can hear is my footsteps, and my breathing 

I was walking forward i'm aware of what i'm doing but...

I was the one who's controlling my body and not at the same time...

Still walking through the hallway when suddenly

"Cythe!"

Someone called for me

My body stopped and looked behind me, it was Athy running towards me crying

"Please! Cythe don't leave me please!"

Athy begged me grabbing my arms crying

Leave you?

Is what I wanted to ask but my body won't do as I say and just stood there staring back at her

"Cythe please..."

Sniffling and crying Athy still begging me to not leave her

I won't

Is what I wanted to say, but once again my mouth won't open

"Let me go..."

"..."

I froze

"Was I the one who said that?"

I asked

"A voice so cold and to say that to Athy... I would never"

Athy who begged me earlier stared at me in shock

She tried to grab my arm again

"Cy-"

But she was cut off as I swung my arm removing Athy's arm and said

"Don't touch me..."

Again with a cold voice

With my brows furrowed I looked at her with hatred

But I don't know why...

"Why am I angry at her in this dream?"

I asked myself

I couldn't do anything, someone who is me but not at the same time is controlling my body

I tried moving my own body but I can't

"Cythe! Please don't!"

Athy begged me

"Cythe please! I won't do it again!"

Athy cried loudly begging for me

I could hear her broken voice, her feelings

I don't want to see her like that, I wan't to console her...

But whatever I do my body won't listen

My body left Athy behind who was calling for my name so desperately, walking away without looking at her back

"Follow..."

Someone whispered again into my ear

And I was again left alone with no one around inside in this pitch black room

I covered my ears and closed my eyes crying when someone whispered

"Cythe..."

Calling for me sweetly, I opened my eyes and looked ahead to see Athy wearing the same white dress

Smiling opened her arms telling me to come to her...

I paused with my eyes tearing, I walked closer to her slowly then faster

I can't reach her still

Athy who was smiling sweetly at me behind her a dark figure

My eyes widened and terrified of what will happen

I ran as fast as I could but again, I still can't get close to her

The figure behind smiled looking back at me, grabbed Athy's neck pointing it's long nails at her and whispered

"Must die to follow the story..."

And smile eerily

I trembled

Shaking but still ran to Athy reaching for her, then...

*SLASH!~*

It sliced her neck

I stopped and cried I was petrified don't know what to do...

With my eyes wide open seeing Athy's cold dead body lying on the ground again...

No

No

Nonononononononononononononono!

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!"

I screamed at the top of my lungs, and woke up with my hands reaching for something

"Huff.. Huff.. Huff"

I was sweating I sat up and brushed my hair with my hand and catching my breath...

"That dream again... It's still as I remembered it"

I calmed after a minuet and stared at the window quietly thinking

"What should I do to prevent that story?"

I mumbled

But then I paused and thought

"Story... What story?"

I asked myself, but I can't seem to know what it was

What U was mumbling to myself

That dream felt like it happened already

"Deja vu.."

I mumbled
