Chapter 19

Days passed since the cafeteria incident

I haven't seen Cythe or Josefina

Both of them just stormed out

"Let's go Ina"

Those words kept on ringing in my head

That line keeps popping in my head

They're already that close to calling each other's nicknames

Just like in the novel both of them are spending time with each other

Both of them will eventually.....

I stopped that thought and noticed someone staring at me

I turned to look and it was Claude

"Claude?! What are you doing here?!"

I shouted asking

His head rested on his palm

He raised his hands and poke my forehead

I don't know why he did that and he smiled sadly

Why is he sad?

"Class finished awhile ago, and you're still here scrunching your nose hehe" Claude laughed softly

He stood up and stick out his hand offering it to me

Lately Claude has been holding my hand often but i don't mind

I grabbed his hand and the both of us walked out of the classroom

But then Claude stopped

Why'd he stop?

"Is something wrong?" I asked

He turned to look at me and smiled sweetly and said

"Athy, the hand i'm holding right now, i will never ever let it go"

Claude tightened his hand against mine

Claude has been acting very weird since the day we went to town

Did something happened back then?

"How about you Athy?" He asked me

"?"

"Would you also do the same?" Claude continued his question

I don't know what this is about but i nodded and smiled at him

He then smiled sweetly and pulled me closely then hugged me tightly

"You promised okay Athy? You won't ever let go of my hand"

Claude said in a soft tone smiling sweetly yet sadly again

I was shocked but hugged him back

"Yes of course Claude" i answered back

He must be asking me because he is afraid of losing me again

Claude has been smiling sadly these days, he's hoping that I can't see through him

But his eyes gave it away....

And about his mother who is constantly abusing him till this day

I didn't do anything in these 9 years that we have been friends

"Don't worry Claude, I'll help you as much as you did to me" I whispered softly

I don't think he heard what I said and I never made it clear to him either

We stood there outside of our Classroom hugging each other silently

Claude whispered something but i couldn't hear it because it was too soft

But I have a feeling that those words he whispered isn't very

pleasant

Tomorrow arrived i finally got to see Cythe and Josefina

Cythe looked at me and he nodded

It was as usual he's acting like nothing had happened?

Why?

Is he ignoring my feelings now?

Is it like that?

Should i ignore my feelings too?

I came back to my senses when i suddenly felt someone holding my hand

I got used to it and it was Claude

He turned to look at me and smiled

I smiled back

I noticed Cythe looking at us but i never looked back

After the class announcement was heard, they told us to come to the Speakers place

A Speakers place is where all the announcements are told

Where professor tells us something important, where club leaders speak, and so on....

"Lianna Claudine Vlar will now say her speech" one of the professor said

There was silence

I was busy thinking about something when all of a sudden

"Good morning to all of you!" The School president said

This voice sounds awfully familiar

As i raised my head and saw the woman standing in front of me is

"Grass lady?!" I blurted out

It became silent again all of them were looking at me

"Ah yesssss... Anyways!" Lianna said

She seemed really pissed off now

But she smiling

I hear Claude giggling

I was so embarrassed i Unconsciously looked at Cythe

Both me and Cythe locked eyes

He quickly turned around to avoid eye contact

But then I noticed his ears were so red like a tomato

Is he okay?

His ears are so red!

I looked at Josefina who was next to Cythe

Josefina raised her hand and patted Cythe on the head

my eyes widened in shock

I knew sooner or later this was supposed to happen

but seeing it now and so soon hurts me

Cythe seemed annoyed and pushed Josefina's hand away

Josefina chuckled and stopped teasing Cythe

Both of them look so close now

Is it really blooming now?

their love?....

I can feel a cold air at the back of my neck

I turned to look again but it was Claude he was smiling

What was that i felt a cold stare behind my back?

Hours went by we said our goodbyes

Claude went ahead to do some things

Cythe and Josefina as usual told us they'll be checking something out

"Jealousy can be a dangerous thing, that's what happened to previous Athy"

Someone whispered behind my ear

I quickly covered my ears and turned to look back

It was again Cosmo

"Hehe long time no see~" Cosmo said in a happy tone

You! where have you been?!

After that day you vanished!

Where were you?!

"What? Can't a man have break? I have been working tirelessly now" Cosmo said

Working tirelessly!

You've been doing nothing but just relax inside of my head!

And now for many days you finally showed up!

I was so angry i kept on yelling at him inside of my head

It's really convenient he can hear my thoughts right now

Cause i have been saying so many things right now

It's like he doesn't even care

He kept on picking his ears as if to say his ears were hurting because of too much nagging

"Yeah yeah sorry about that, i just checked something so i had to be gone, so what did i miss?!" Cosmo said in a happy tone

Did you really just-

nevermind i'm not talking to you

"Oh c'mon Athy!" Cosmo said

Nope nope nope!

"Heeeeeyy hello?? If you're angry at me because i was gone for awhile, look i'm sorry about that okay? I just had things i need to tend to" Cosmo explained

I wouldn't be this angry if you could have told me what was up

I crossed my arms and pouted

Everytime i tried to ask something important he keeps on disappearing and never tells anything to me!

"I thought we were friends" i mumbled

"Hmmm? Huuuh? What was that?! Say it again!" Cosmo exclaimed

What!? What did i say?!

I looked at him angrily while my arms still crossed

"No no no say it again!" Cosmo exclaimed again

No i didn't even say anything!

"No no! You said the word 'F'!!"

No i never said anything about that!

I turned to look the other way to avoid eye contact

I was too shy to admit it that i thought of us as friends

"C'mon Athy say it!" Cosmo said excitedly

While coming closer

No!

"Say it! Frrrrrr"

And closer

No!

"Rieeeeeee"

And closer

"ndsssssss" Cosmo continued saying it

"I said no!" I shouted very loudly

I was so annoyed by him that i shouted

I looked at him he was grinning happily

"Heehee" Cosmo giggled

My face is as red as a strawberry from shouting and embarrassment

Grrrr

I was busy getting angry at Cosmo when suddenly

"Well well well, if it isn't Athy"

Someone said behind me so i turned to look around and there i saw that woman who was having a speech earlier

"Ah! Grass lady!" I shouted in shock

"Pardon?" her smile became crooked and her eyes became sharp

What was her name again?
