01 Lee Ha-ra has DIED!

Today is the day Lee Ha-ra dies. She got betrayed by her husband and his secretary, got abandoned by her kids, got backstabbed by her friends.

Her parents never agreed for their daughter to marry such a cold man, but since he was rich, they sold their daughter off to him. Her wish was to marry this man and have a family.

Looks like she got betrayed.

As they were at the funeral, Ha-ra's husband, Seo Ye-joon, linked his arms with his secretary, Kim Li-a. They acted as if they were saddened by his wife's sudden death, although they had it planned.

Ha-ra's parents cried in agony, as the two arrived, Ha-ra's mother, Mrs. Lee turned around, glaring at her son-in-law, while Ye-joon looked down at them with his usual death stares.

They knew this man was dangerous.

A few hours have passed, still, Seo Ye-joon stood there with his 'future wife' in his arms. They didn't dare to speak nor move from their spot.

Mrs. Lee got tired of them, so she turned around, asking with a brittle voice, "How long are you going to stand there?" She glared.

Ye-joon nodded and knelt in one knee in front of the parents and visitors, holding a box.

A ring.

Everyone inside the room was shocked. Some of Ha-ra's friends and visitors' eyes were sparkling, supporting them, while some regretted supporting their late friend for marrying the coldest asshole.

Vivid voices were whispering. Perhaps, Lee Ha-ra was still not dead. Ye-joon injected something that they only knew. A liquid that takes time for her to suffer on her deathbed. Being paralyzed to death. And if she hears about this, her weak heart will probably stop unnoticed.

"I knew he was cold."

"We shouldn't have supported them."

Ye-joon opened the box, "Ms. Kim, will you marry me, Seo Ye-joon?"

Kim Li-a giggled in surprise and nodded joyfully, "Yes. Yes!"

He smiled and placed the ring on her ring finger, he kissed the back of her hand and stood up to hug her.

Kim Li-a cried with joy as she looked at the woman's coffin, 'How does it suit you, 'my lady'?' She grinned.

Everyone clapped their hands as they cheered at them.

As they were happily enjoying the proposal, Ha-ra's mother fainted which caused a bad moment for them. Ha-ra was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee. Her father wailed as he held his wife's collapsed body.

"What are you standing there? Get us some help!" Mr. Lee ordered. Bodyguards hurriedly walked out of the room to call for an emergency.

As always, emergency services are always late. Like 10 minutes or so.

Li-a walked towards the family to boast her upright position but was stopped by negative chatters.

"Looks like someone wants to take Ha-ra's place."

"Haha, I think no one is gonna pity her coming death."

"I pity her the most."

"The Seo family was pettier than the Park family!"

Park Family, they ranked second in business. They were always the second every time the Seo family ranks first. The head of Park Family, Park Kyung-Mi, had loved Ye-joon for years, even before he married Ha-ra.

"You guys are so disgusting." Kyung-Mi cursed. Seo Kyung-Mi, the first daughter of Lee Ha-ra and Seo Ye-joon. She walked to her grandparents as she held them.

Ye-joon didn't care about his children, for he never wanted them.

"Looks like our stepmother wants to be like our mother, too." Seo Beom-Seok, the second son said as he looked at his dead mom.

"Let's just say, nothing will change." Baek-Hyeon crossed his arms as he gave a death stare to Li-a.

Li-a shivered and hugged Ye-joon tightly. She whispered, "L-let's go..."

Ye-joon nodded and turned around. He turned his head slightly, having a glaring contest with the trio before they finally walked out of the room.

The three children looked at their mother, thinking the same sentence, 'You're pathetic.'

Ha-ra suddenly had a headache, a very painful headache. She placed her wrist on her forehead, pressing them. As she was about to wake up, she heard whispers from the outside.

"The Empress is still asleep?" An old man's voice whispered.

"Let's not disturb her." An old woman's creaky voice whispered back.

"I bet the Emperor will give us many shillings!" The old man whispered loudly,

"Lower your voice! Don't disturb the Empress!" The old lady hushed.

'Empress? Emperor? Shillings?' She thought to herself, her body still on some thick fabric. She was inside the carriage.

'What are they saying?' She asked, confused. As she slowly sat up, the carriage suddenly thumped. She yelped. Her body fell onto the thick fabric with her arm on her stomach. Her eyes that were shut tight shot open when she felt a big bump on her stomach.

'A big bump?' She poked her bumpy stomach, her eyes widened again. 'Holy—Am I pregnant?'

Footsteps were getting louder and louder inside the carriage. The old lady opened the carriage door revealing a shocked lady.

"Her Majesty!" She ran quickly to the woman who just poked her pregnant stomach. She knelt and helped the woman sit, "Her Majesty, you were not harmed, yes?"

Ha-ra stared at the lady who had crinkled skin on her whole face.

The old man soon walked in, "Is Her Majesty okay?"

Ha-ra looked at the man who had wrapped the rope around his crinkled hand.

"Where am I?" She asked,

The duo gasped as they looked at each other then back to the woman. The old lady leaned closer, "Her Majesty, don't you remember? You were in an accident. You landed at the back of our house!"

"I got into an accident?!"

"Yes," The old man replied, taking his brown old hat from his head and placing it on his chest, "We don't know what happened to you, but His Majesty's guards were looking for you 24/7."

"How long have I been gone?"

"Three weeks." The duo replied,

Ha-ra gasped, "Three weeks?!"
