42 Mechanical battle

"I told you to keep your distance!" Aeldrya shouted.

But ignoring her, Limy lunged right on top of the monster… The troll moved violently and broke the ice that covered its top just in time to hit Limy, the arrow didn't seem to have been enough to completely obliterate its sight. With the tremendous blow, Limy flew out more than twenty meters.

"Limy!"

Seeing the girl crash down and spin around the ground several times, Aeldrya changed direction and ran to her side. She lifted her into her arms with clear fear on her face.

"I'm fine."

However, Limy acted as if nothing had happened. The elf's face changed from fear to daze as she saw her stand up by herself and pick up her sword again.

"How are you going to be fine? That blow was enough to even kill me!"

"I'm fine."

Aeldrya grabbed her by the shoulder and looked her up and down only to find that she really didn't have a scratch on her body. Her wrinkled forehead and her changing face made it clear that she didn't know if she had to be worried or scared... I have to admit that I was a little scared too... a little a lot...

"I can't believe it… After this, you still think that you're weak?"

Limy nodded without saying anything and tried to return to combat. Seeing the girl walk again, Aeldrya tugged on her shoulder and stepped in front of her.

"I'm telling you to stay away!"

"I can't fight at this distance."

Limy looked directly into her eyes with an expressionless face. Aeldrya's stood with her forehead wrinkled and her eyes narrowed. It was hard not to realize that her head was still trying to figure what had just happened and what she should do. She finally let go of Limy and stepped out of her way, not before re-preparing an arrow in the bow.

"You have no remedy... Paralyzing Arrow."

Sighing heavily again, Aeldrya shot a new arrow at the troll, who was already breaking the ice. Next, she pointed at the monster and spoke directly to the girl.

"The effect won't last long. You have ten seconds to do something! Go!"

Limy didn't think twice before heading back to the troll, who was having difficulty moving after being affected by paralysis and ice. The girl's sword struck its skin hard, without being able to sink into it. Still, the girl didn't seem to notice it and she kept attacking nonstop, but none of her blows made a single scratch to the monster.

The ten seconds passed before we noticed it and Limy was still completely focused on striking. Again, the strong fist of the troll flew towards her, however, it never reached its goal. Just before hitting the girl's head, it was repelled as if it had collided with an invisible wall. Limy stopped attacking and realized that she was not doing anything to the monster.

“Master?”

Yes, I shot an air bullet at the troll's fist to repel the attack. I had managed to dominate the spell almost completely and I was already capable of doing that. It's not like I've hurt the troll anyway. That monster's skin was too tough, so it was time to teach this little girl some common sense.

—Stop attacking without thinking. If its skin is too hard to damage with a sword, attack the soft parts. Attack the eyes!

“Understood!”

Limy jumped just as fast as before and her sword hit her target, the monster's left eye. Unfortunately, that blow was not as I thought it would be. If the troll's skin was like iron, its bones appeared to be steel. The hole in the skull was too small to fit much more than the tip of the sword, preventing it from reaching the brain. At least, it had gone blind in its left eye... although considering its regeneration it might only be temporarily...

—It doesn't matter that you haven't been able to deal significant damage. Taking away some of its vision is more than enough. From now on, stay on its left side. From there it will not be able to see you and will be easier for you to attack. Also, take the opportunity to take a couple of stones as big as you can and pass them to me. By the way, stay a little low, since it is not very intelligent, while it does not see you, it will probably be turning around trying to find you.

“Understood.”

The troll barely took a second to focus again after its arm was repelled, but it was more than enough for Limy to understand my advice. As I imagined, it began to move its arms and legs uncontrollably, at the same time that it struggled to try to keep the girl within its reduced vision range.

—Now, change direction abruptly and take the opportunity to get behind it. Then jump on its back!

Doing exactly what I told her, she managed to get behind the monster and then jump on top of it. Seeing her do that, the troll raised its hands trying to pull her off.

—Jump back and tie its hands with your tentacles! With its strength it will probably break them right away, so you only have a moment to do it!

Limy jumped with all her might at the same times that she extended her tentacles, tying the troll's hands with utter precision. By having its arms bent back, it would be somewhat more difficult for the monster to tear apart the tentacles. Still, the troll's strength was enormous, let alone the difference in weight between the two. With a simple downward motion pulled Limy, lifting her into the air, but that was my intention.

—Now take the opportunity to get closer and get in front of its face!

With a surreal display of agility, Limy stepped over the troll's head and landed on top of its arms, which were still bound by her tentacles. With her height, she was right in front of the monster's face, who stared at her in disbelief.

—Take out the stone and sink it into its eye!

The stone Limy had picked up had been modified by me, making it thin and pointed, with the right size to be able to pass across the troll's eyehole. Limy managed to nail it in the right eye of the troll, taking away his vision completely, but even that was not enough to kill the powerful monster.

—Don't waste your time, jump off from its arms right now!

The troll screamed in pain and snapped her tentacles half a second after Limy managed to jump. The girl wrapped her tentacles around the monster's neck and managed to stay on top of it even without stable support.

—Finish it through the other eye!

Taking advantage of the fact that she was still onto the monster, she took out a second stone equally prepared and plunged it into the other eye of the troll. Since the eye was already damaged, the stone went a lot deeper into its head than the previous one. At the same time, I threw an air bullet at the other stone, causing it to completely sink into the troll's head as well. With one last heartbreaking roar, the huge monster lost its strength and collapsed to the ground. Limy did not hesitate to continue sinking the stone that was into her hands until it was completely inside the monster's skull. With its brain completely pierced, the troll finally stopped moving. I checked Limy's status and saw that she raised up to level 6, so there was no doubt that she had managed to kill it.

—You did great.

“Thanks, master.”

Great my ass! Objectively looking at it, it seemed that all turned out just as I had planned... but if I was still human I would have shitted on my pants a couple of times! I just told Limy to do the first thing that came to my mind and she just did literally what I said without an error.

'This girl is sometimes scary...'

In the end, it was all pure Limy's ability... I couldn't let the truth be known...

Still... remember that the troll was already hurt and tired... Don't even think about repeating crazy things like this by yourself. It would be suicide.

“Understood.”
