Chp 29 : Student

[Siun : What do you mean wasn't wasted?! I'm not one bit closer to completing the task!]

[Tex : That's true, but you are developing your strength here, Yael is teaching you how to use Seux's eyes isn't she?]

[Siun : Haaah... I'll stop complaining now... By the way don't you think the atmosphere on this wagon is nice?]

[Tex : What do you mean?]

[Siun : Look at everyone, they all seem to be getting a long!]

Even though Siun complain about being in a wagon, he was having a very fun time with Yael and his parents and he got to know more about Yael, Karter and Jean.

The time he spent chatting with his new friends made the time past by in a flash... and before you knew it, it was night time

"So how has everyone been doing so far? Enjoying the trip?" Yael asked

"Hehe yes big sister! I really like it when you use your magic powers to fight! so cool!" Siun said

"Hahaha! This kid is so brave! Elena, Silas how did you raise your son to be this cute?"

[Tex : He's only brave because he is actually 23! Yael don't fall for it!]

[Siun : Thank god no one else could hear you or else my cover would've been blown right as soon as you open your trap!]

"Yael come look at this quick!"

Jean said as Yael hurriedly came to the front of the wagon

"Jean don't call me in that tone! Your going to scare the rest! They might think a demon is coming!"

"Yae- I mean Ms. Yael! There is a demon!"

"So what? We will just quickly take care of it like we always had, lets go. I'll go tell Karter"

"No Ms. Yael look!"

Jean exclaimed as he pointed to a demon's body near them on the floor.

"What the fuck is that..."

Yael mumbled as she used her Seux eyes to get a closer look from the safety of the wagon.

"A deer demon..." Yael whispered to Jean

"What?! A deer demon? that will take both me and Karter to kill one! Are there any more near by?" Jean whispered back not wanting to alarm Silas, Elena and Siun.

"Loads..." Elena said as she squinted even harder.

"Shit! I better get Karter so we can take care of them! Ms. Yael you stay here to protect the family!" But before Jean could get up from the seat Yael stopped him.

"Don't... they are not a threat to us, at least not the deer demons..."

As Jean heard this he had a confused look on his face.

"Ms. Yael what do you mean by this? There are no friendly demons!" Jean said as he clenched his fists.

"The deer demons aren't alive... there are hundreds of their dead corpses on the ground, I'll go down by myself to investigate deeper in the woods"

She looked back to the family and Karter sitting in the wagon ignorant to their situation, and smiled

"Alright, im off. You stay here and protect your student and her family" Yael said as she touched Jean shoulder reassuring him.

"Student?! How did you know?!" Jean said as he quickly brushed off Yael's arm with a slight blush on his face.

"Hahaha! Did you think I wouldn't notice? I hear you training her every night! You found quiet the talent!" Yael chuckled

"Y-yes she quite the talent Ms. Yael, If she hadn't lost her right arm I can't imagine what she would be capable of doing... truly a great all rounder..." Jean said, blushing even harder.

"Huhuhu! Look at you! Bragging about your student to me! Make sure to convince her son to become my student too!"

Yael said as she was about to jump off into the woods

"Wait Ms. Yael!"

"Hm? What is it Jean"

"Be careful..."

Yael's face went still for a second before she let out a warm chuckle

"Haha... look at you being all worried about me... Don't fret! Your master is strong!"

Yael said before jumping off the wagon and disappearing into the woods
