Chapter 47: Dwarf Dragon

I use levitation magic on the two of us and we levitate until we reach the above ground.

Dead bears with holes and frozen bodies could be found everywhere. An infront of us we could see pilars upon pilars of ice encasing bears inside.

It seems like David is unleashing the might of his powers here.

"Hey David don't waste mana. Can't you feel that something big is about to come?" I shouted.

He look at my direction and smile at me.

"I haven't use too much mana yet. I didn't even use most of my powers to kill these bears. I didn't expect to be this strong."

He explained while walking towards us.

He's bot sweating and looks very hot, contrary to his cold related ability.

"You are rank SS so of course. Don't use your magic outside ok? The damage that you will cause is surely enormous despite using small scale magic. Objects there doesn't have magic resistance unlike here inside the dungeon."

I reminded him.

"I couldn't use it anyway because of the oat. If I have to practice I really have to do it inside a dungeon." He then put his arms in my shoulders.

"The sword you made is amazing, I could use it in long range and I think I could practice it more, I really like this. But could you make it clear like crystal to match my ability?"

I guess he said it because he doesn't need the sniper anyway but it would probably for the best because sniper couldn't do much if there are several monsters near him. He probably realize it when fighting several monster bears.

"Yes sure. Return that to me later I'll make you a ice themed sword."

He them smiled largely at me and pinched my cheeks.

"Stop it."

I then hit his hand forcing him to retract it.

"The monster is here, is it the boss?"

We look around and saw a giant bear covered in thick mana. It's much larger than the others and it's probably the one who cause trouble to the hunters here.

I couldn't blame them, this one is definitely an A rank monster while the strongest among the team who come inside are mostly C rank with 2 B rank.

The monster immediately engage with us. It tried to use it's huge claw to slice us up but suddenly Clark grab me and pull me away.

"Stay close, I'll deal with it." He said and prepare himself but suddenly David jump off and slice the bears arm and feet immediately. Making the bear drop to the ground and he immediately cut off its head.

He did it swiftly. The monster that was capable of killing a group of Hunters has been eliminated by David alone.

It seems like David is now capable of reinforcing mana to his body and to it's weapon in order to increase its durability and strength.

He look at us while sheathing his sword.

"He's done now. If we leave this place, the gate will probably close on its own." He said while offering me a hand to hold while standing up but Clark manage to assist me first which made David's face irritated.

But I ignored him, simply because it's not the time and place for this.

"You are suppose to be a mage, that's not fair if you use sword. You will definitely become a magic swordsman at this rate, just like your brother."

I look around and didn't feel anymore monsters that are trying to go to our location, although there are a lot of monsters in the forest.

"Sword suits me well. I'll probably ask for a professional swordsman to teach me swordsmanship skills so I could incorporate it to my attack." David reply.

"Aren't you guys trained for martial arts in Military? They didn't teach you swordsmanship there?" I asks.

"They only teach us weapon handling, martial arts, hand to hand combat, and knife skills that's all." Clark answered.

"What's the plan now? Should we escape?" David asks.

I took the bear boss body and put it in my pocket world.

"I want to explore this place first. If possible I want this dungeon to never close. Dungeon that leads to another world is very beneficial to our country, especially since this one has things that you cannot find in that side. If there are another civilization here, we could ask them for trade later on."

"But aren't gates close when the boss is killed?" David asks.

"Yes, but if there is a person that remains inside after the defeat of the boss, the gate will not close. Everyone has to get out first in order for it to close. Although I don't know how long that will last."

"Ok then, let's explore this for a few minutes before leaving." Clark said.

"I'll prepare our ride so wait a little up."

--Earth magic, Earth magic, heed my desires and take my will into form..--

I chanted and suddenly the ground rose up creating a huge stone bird that could take us from above.

"I didn't see this spell? A new one?" Ask Clark and I just nod at him.

"Everyone, climb the bird we will scout the surrounding from above."

I then levitate my self and stood up above the earth while the other two climb. They didn't take much time either.

"This is my first time riding this? Will we be alright?" David ask nervously while holding to my shirt.

"Don't worry if you die, I'll resurrect you immediately."

His eyes enlarge after hearing my response.

"I prefer that I won't die in the first place."

I didn't listen to him and immediately control to bird to make it fly. Several magic such as levitation, air resistance, weight manipulation, and earth manipulation are all the magic that I need to control while we are flying so it's not easy for me to do it.

We flew above the air and look at the ground. We are very amaze on how amazing some area are. There are places with magical looking threes, falls with lights everywhere, and places with mana stones as well. It seems like this place is very abundant in resources.

This place is very good for a date but we have Clark here so we have to control our self.

"I could feel something guys be prepared." I warned them. As I could feel a presence of a monster that has the same mana as the bear boss.

"Over there, there's a small dragon chasing us." Clark said while pointing to the direction of the said dragon.

I look at it and it was a dragon similar in size to our ride chasing after us. It's definitely big but not as big as I imagine a dragon should be. This one is probably just a subspecies.

"It's going to use breathe." Clark warned and suddenly a burst of flame is heading towards us.

I manipulated the bird to evade and while I did that a huge snow flakes tried to shield us from the flames but since I maneuver, the flames didn't hit the shield.

"You are a very unfair existence, you can cast magic without the need to chant." I shouted to David.

"Said by someone who could perform all types of magic." David replied.

"Another breath, incoming." Clark warned and David then again protected us with his giant snow flake.

I didn't maneuver our ride since David is defending us already.

"Kreeeekkkkkk ....." Suddenly the dwarf dragon made a sound and I could feel another 2 of it's kinds, mana coming from both sides.

"That dwarf dragon is calling for back up. 2 more are coming in both sides. David shoot it with ice magic." I ordered him and he shifted himself from defense to offense.

He is shooting the dwarf dragon with spikes made out of ice but the dwarf dragon evaded it all.

"The other two are now coming. Should we go down? I can at least help is we are on the ground." Clark suggested.

"We can't and we shouldn't land. I could feel monsters below as well. They are good at masking their presence but I could feel that they are there, waiting for someone to enter their attack range." I explained.

Suddenly the two dwarf dragon use breath on us as well, good thing I manage to maneuver on time.

"David, use homing attacks if you cannot hit the enemies." I suggested.

He look at me for a slight second before returning his focus on the incoming enemies.

"I don't know how to do that." He said.

I forgot that he does not have the Magic Archive like me so it's impossible for him to learn it on his own.

"I'll kill them my self, please sustain this flying bird with mana."

"No, you just stay there. I know now how to deal with them." He said while defending us from the breaths by conjuring snow flakes that protected us from all sides.

After the breath he cancelled out his magic and he created 3 oriental ice dragon that flew and chase the dwarf dragon away.

The dwarf dragons now facing with each oriental dragon are having their attention aways from us.

The fights are so cool as Davids dragon tried to coil itself to the dwarf dragon but they somehow manage to evade it.

Each dwarf dragon tries to burn the oriental dragons but they simply evaded it and tried to coil the dwarf dragon again.

The scenario repeated multiple times until one of them as been caught by the oriental dragon and got frozen by it.

It immediately leave its pray which I took immediately and help one of the oriental dragon. Sensing the danger the dwarf dragon tried to fled but the ice oriental dragon breath a cold air to it making it freeze midair.

Upon it's death I immediately retrieve it. The last dwarf dragon tried to fled by burning it surrounding but his firs is no match to the cold that David's ice dragon gives so it was frozen as well just like his two brothers and I retrieve it just like the other two.

"That was nice good job. Let's retreat now, I don't wanna fight more of its kind if we continue."

I didn't wait for their response as I immediately activate my magic.
