Silence was the only audience in the room when it got visitors as noise, even though it was created by one speaker.
Stepping leisurely after putting down the glass of the vine in his hand Liang Chen said, "I was thinking who had the audacity to spike my drink. It's no surprise that it's you. Who'd have thought you could extort anything to get what you want? " His voice was tinged with hatred and coated with anger, which YinLan could sense even though she couldn't see his face.
Yin Lan was wishing to be deaf as the way he was speaking to her was not likable at all, but all of a sudden she shuddered when she heard his words.
She questioned, "What did he say?"
She was incapable of comprehending his mocking. All she was able to do was listen to his ailing.
"Someone spiked his drink?" her eyes grooved as she looked at him.
Her memory pulled her to the time when she first saw him in the room.
She contorted her face as she said, "Then the way he seemed a little drunk earlier was not my imagination at all either."
Inside her, a mysterious wrath erupted, filled with many unanswered questions.
And the corners of her eyes creased as she exclaimed, "But why ?"
"Why is this happening to him ?"
Now she felt her throat was getting filled with water, slightly causing her to choke.
She said, looking at him with disbelief, "How could someone gather the courage to spike the drink of one of the leading multinational company owners and director's son? The one who will soon take over the company. "
"This doesn't even sound right," her eyes flutter in response to his complaint, without moving her gaze away from him.
All of her stiffening emotions subsided and her mind was only filled with the thought of her previous life.
Grooving her eyes in question, she thought to herself, "Wait a sec! Did something happen in our past life? Why don't I remember something like this in my last life?"
As an anxious emotion started to engulf her body, she thought, "Right now he doesn't seem well at all."
Her eyes focused on him, which was curious, "But what exactly happened?"
YinLan's mind was still plagued with the rushing thought of her husband, who might be living unjustly like her. In reality, she doesn't know what exactly her husband does or where he always goes because they rarely talk with each other and the nights they spend together are numbered.
Her mind was now attempting to remember his face on the day when he visited her in the morning at the house of her friend. But before she could recollect anything, another voice from Liang Chen flooded her ear.
"I never thought you could fall this low. This is really something new I discovered today. " His dry voice breaks the undertone of mockery with amusement as he speaks.
As his voice sipped through her ear, she found herself in a sudden break in reality.
All of a sudden, she felt like she was lying on the ice as her whole body became cold.
She paused in her thought, "What does he mean? I don't understand. "
The crease over her head deepens as her mouth remains silent with her vocal mind asking, "Did he just come here because he thinks I spiked his drink?"
Her eyes were clouded with sorrow as she screamed, "No way! He can't be thinking that. Right!"
"This is what he had an image of me!" she shouted.
"Then my definition in his dictionary might be really elaborate. That's why he didn't bring himself to love me."
"How ironic!"
"Hah! "That's really laughable," she chuckled and murmured, "the foolish me trying to clear her name just to get his love, who has a different definition of me." "The me who is sentenced as a criminal without a trial in his mind."
"Really, why did I even love him?"
Huffing as she turned away her gaze in anger, she protested to herself, "What was exactly I was hoping for from this guy? Foolish YinLan you already have died after deeply loving him with all of your heart. Why were you even hoping for anything from him now? We just agree to not hope for anything from anyone. Then why? "
Now closing her eyes she whispered, "Why does it still hurt? why is it still painful after seeing him behave like this."
"He did not even ask me, not even gave me the chance to explain, and already concluded. Why did he not think, I can be a victim too."
"Am I really this unjust in his mind? Then where is the justice for me?" She silently sobbed as her heart ached because of his words.
If she had the ability to speak, she would have asked him directly, "Why can't he think someone else is the culprit? or that someone else could have set her up to make him hate her?" But because she couldn't make her voice even come out of her throat, all she could do was cry in silence.
While trying hard not to get hurt, she asked herself, "Seriously, what was wrong with me? Why are my eyes shedding tears for a man like him."
"He doesn't even need me at all. I am nothing to him."
"But what was the face that seemed so desperate before my death? Why am I suddenly recalling that?"
While YinLan was lost in her thoughts and cursing herself, another intimidating voice mocked her, "What? Not responding at all hah? Are you starting to feel guilty for me and that's why you're not responding at all?"
After receiving his words, YinLan felt she had lost her breath for a moment and coughed vigorously as she stretched her tone and paused on the word, "Guilty."
"Did he even know how many tears I had shed after getting married to him all those years? There wasn't even a single day in my life in which I managed to even smile a little."
"And he thinks I should be guilty. But why? What should I feel guilty about? Shouldn't you be guilty of me, for what you did to me for all those years? "
There were so many questions running through her head, and she wanted to ask him straight to his face. But she calms herself while looking at him in disgust, she whispers, "Why should I even bother myself to point out his mistake?"
"Why should I bother myself for being something in front of him?"
"He doesn't deserve it at all."
There was a stream of rage encroaching on her body, which was wanting her to scream as hard as she could.
She asked in her mind, exhaling heavily in anger, "Who the hell are you concluding I should be guilty? You made me the villain of your life; you think you are some kind of hero of mine. You can wish all you want, but in this life, you will not get anything from me because You are nothing to me now."
