70 Ultimatum

Zhang Hui read through the small notebook in front of him.

In the notebook, the requirements of the target were jotted down.

First: demand that the relevant parties be held accountable.

Second: the relevant parties must give me an explanation.

Third: they must ensure that similar things do not happen again.

Zhang Hui gulped.

As the Minister of Internal Affairs, he was too familiar with the format of these requirements.

Ultimatum!

This is an ultimatum!

The subtext was no doubt.

To hold the relevant parties accountable (if you cannot, I will), the relevant parties must give me an explanation (if you can't, I will make them!), must ensure that similar things do not happen again (if it happens again, I cannot guarantee that there would be no such accidents in future!).

Other than not giving a deadline, that was pretty much the text of an ultimatum from the Federal Foreign Affairs to a foreign country.
