Willow and I had already gone over the plan for taking down the HQ.
She would teleport into the base since she already knows the layout of the building. Meanwhile, I would be the one to attack the frontlines and be the distraction.
In the HQ Willow will serve as an assassin and kill as many high-ranking soldiers as possible. Due to her ability to teleport and the knowledge of the design she can pop out of nowhere and stab a soldier before teleporting to the direct opposite side of the base, where she can do the same thing.
Letting go of her hand Willow begins her mission as a faint glow starts to form in her hands as she teleports away.
Chuckling to myself I say, "I guess I should earn my paycheck."
With that, I made my presence known by exploding my power outwards as I stopped activating the multiple sense disorienting abilities.
By this point next to all of my mana had replenished itself and I was not only ready for battle but also excited for it.
'By the end of this, I might be able to rank up a whole stage!' I tell myself as a smile can't help but form. Simply the sheer thought of my power level increasing multiple times over made me happy.
It barely took a couple of passing seconds before the army of troops made their appearance in the clearing.
In front of the huge building that could easily be mistaken for a castle if not for the military shape and design while the army moved in my direction.
A loud voice rang out even though it would take around seven seconds before the army could even begin to launch projectiles from their range, "Your acts against the king are found to be guilty of treason, for this matter you are the enemy of this planet. Today will mark the day of your death as the empire had declared you to be a threat. No place will be safe and you will be hunted down till the day you die if you even think of running away. Surrendering will not save your life for the deaths of our men will be avenged through your blood."
The declaration rang out through the open field and as it came to a close the army got in range to begin their assault.
'Well then,' I told myself. 'I guess I have to follow up that with something of equal value.'
"Your actions of daring to speak before me are found to be guilty. Today will mark the genocide of humanity on this planet. Escape is futile for death is the only way!" I mocked back using the time to fully cap my mana.
"Charge! For the king!"
"Die! For XP!"
The voices of the leader and myself shook the area as mana and power exploded from our mouths.
The shaking of the ground from the soldiers marching seemed to cause the planet to quake.
The sounds of stomping blocked out all other sounds.
'So, this is what a war really is,' I concluded as my mind became blank and all thoughts were replaced with one. 'Kill.'
Not waiting for the now dark sky that contained thousands of abilities to come crashing down on me I practically appeared in front of the army.
A row of hundreds of soldiers long and wide was inches from me, time had once again slowed but I made note that there was little if not any difference with the moment of the leader.
He clearly watched my moments as I dashed to take form in front of the first troop.
'He is going to study me while I wear myself out on the cannon fodder,' I realized when he didn't make a move.
I looked up at him and kept my eyes locked on his for a moment longer before turning my attention to reaping the lives of his men.
The troops hadn't moved a hair during this interaction as for them everything was moving too fast.
Wanting to start the battle off strong I reached for the neck of a random man.
Whether he was lucky or not has yet to be decided.
Squeezing I dug my hand into his throat before clasping my hands on his spine. Warm blood heated my arm yet I wasn't done. Pull upwards, the spine of the poor man ripped away from his body.
A snake-like line of red covered the bones that were yanked out through the open wound in the soldier's neck.
'This will be my first time fighting with a weapon,' I coldly say to myself as I raise the intact spine.
Since I was still moving at insane speeds the soldier with no backbones had yet to realize he even died.
Infusing death essence into the spine and using mana to sturdy the bones, a functional sword was created.
Swinging the sword down I let it fully take form while blood sprays from it in multiple directions.
Satisfied by the fact that I could wield it easily and it didn't seem like the essence would destroy the spine I began my attack.
Using no other mana besides what I needed to keep the bones in place I massacred the soldiers one by one not sparing anyone no matter their gender, age, or level.
The whole time I was dwindling the numbers of troops the leader watched my moves without budging from his spot. His eyes were able to keep up with me and didn't falter.
By now a third of the army was already laying lifeless and no matter how I killed the soldiers the leader didn't even react.
Bored with crushing heads, decapitating, tearing out hearts, and cutting people open I decided I would go for a grand finale.
'This will be a huge waste of mana, but I've got to get the leader to take action.'
Stopping dead in my tracks amid the countless armed men that still survived I began to form a spike of ice.
Perhaps the leader underestimated me or he was overconfident in his abilities whatever the reason he would soon regret not moving.
Maybe it has something to do with him not being past level 100 and thus he couldn't sense essence.
Either way, the leader remained in the same position as he didn't even bother to take a step towards me to cancel my attack, so I released it in its full force.
