Miracle

As the dust cleared there was one figure hovering above.

I couldn't mistake who it was.

The person who won was without a doubt… Joe.

I could see the flames burning elegantly around him.

Joe looked like a true monster with his flesh burnt off and flames that engulfed his body.

His empty eye sockets looked down on where Willow laid, "Pathetic," Was all that he said.

The crackling of the white flames grew louder as he approached where Willow was injured.

Although I couldn't see her condition I knew she was at best unconscious if not dead already.

A rage so deadly crept through my bones knowing I might lose my diamond.

"NO!" I cry out even though nothing more than a whisper is heard.

The amount of blood that I lost was puddled under me.

The dark red which I loved to see flow out from others was now flowing from me.

It was impossible to breathe as both of my lungs were crushed from the impact of Joe's foot.

The area around where he hit was unrecognizable, I couldn't tell my insides from outsides.

The warm feeling I once had was now becoming cold. The wet blood that once poured down from my dismembered arm was slowing down as I continued to lose energy.

'I'm the one who's supposed to kill her. She can't die to a nobody like him. She can't!' I argue in my head not willing to give up hope.

The poor excuse of my shout still got Joe's attention.

Although he stood right next to Willow he turned his skull towards me.

Where his eyes once were was now void. There was no emotion that was present yet I knew he was full of joy.

The flickering white flames that seemed as if they were blessed slowly moved towards me causing destruction in its path.

The terrain around him melted almost as if it was pleading for him to relent.

The heat I could feel as he slowly moved towards me caused my blood to literally boil.

The grass, flowers, brush, and trees erupted into flames around him.

It was a terrifying scene as a fire skeleton made its way towards me destroying its surroundings.

"You said, I am but an ant, which you see as only a way to grow stronger. If that is true, what are you? You're laying there on your deathbed. You're nothing more than trash, a useless kid who thinks he knows everything. For your insolence, I will give you a painful death. Now burn!" The jaw of what was once Joe ordered.

And at his command, the flames grow bigger, stronger, and hotter.

Health: 1%

My skin was melting off my body, the blood that was piled under me was hundreds of degrees hot and steaming.

The pain I felt was indescribable. I was watching as I died. I saw my organs swivel up as they cooked.

There was nothing more I could do. This was how I was going to meet my end.

'No! This is not the end. There is so much more for me to do. It can't end here. I won't allow it.'

Using all the strength which I had left I looked up at the monster which now stood in front of me.

The radiating flames now engulfed both of us as everything began to turn dark.

Only one single thought was able to escape my mind.

It was the only chance I had at ever surviving.

'burn.'

Then everything went black.

It was a darkness that I was unfamiliar with.

It was nothingness.

There was no thought, no emotion, no color, no light, no living beings, just utter nothingness.

And I was stuck in it. There was nothing I could do but accept what was happening.

There was nothing to do, see, or think.

The time I spent in this place warped my senses.

I don't know how long I had been there, not that I was even able to realize that I was there.

But it felt as if it would never end.

Was it seconds, hours, days, years, centuries, or eons?

I couldn't tell but within the nothingness, something changed.

There was a speck of light.

It was being devoured by the darkness but it was still there.

I couldn't do anything to help or move towards it.

I could only be.

But the light continued to slowly grow and grow.

While more and more time passed as the light brightened.

Until it reached me and enveloped me where I was.

Then I was back.

My ears were ringing, my eyes were blinded.

I slowly opened them as I took a look at my surroundings.

Then I heard it.

It was nothing more than a faint final curse.

"Devil!"

With that, my senses were brought back.

I was still laying on the ground up against a tree with what was left of my body poured out all over the ground.

But with one of my still functioning eyes, I saw the etched-out shape of a being turn to dust.

That being was none other than the skeleton of Joe.

'What the fuck!' Was the only thing I managed to get out before I passed out.

The darkness that I veered into was not the same as the one I was previously in.

Yet once again an unknown amount of time passed before I awoke.

Groggily I opened my eyes back up to look around.

Looking at my body I could already see it slowly healing.

I literally watched as my body sowed itself up.

However, I ignored the miracle that was happening around me to check for the reason as to why I got so many notifications.

Looking through most of the messages I see that I've leveled up a fuck ton yet it was the messages below them that really blew my mind.

Unable to make sense of all the information that was displayed in front of me I could only be in awe as my crippled body laid there with my mouth agape.
