As he walked to his office, Takao was still thinking about Ito Ren's words.
Maybe he was too quick to judge people, or maybe he was too stubborn to see Chief Kobayashi in a different light.
What was certain, however, was that he was first and foremost upset about Shinohara Hana, before he got upset about a professional problem. This, Takao saw as a failure. He should not let his emotions get the better of him, because the choices he made were always wrong.
There was also the fact that he had not been very honest in his approach to the employee of the same department. Takao shouldn't have forced questions about him just because he wanted to paint Chief Kobayashi in a bad light; and on that point, Ito Ren was right.
One had to remain objective and impartial when it came to running a company or one of its affiliated departments, and Takao had made a mistake in approaching things that way.
