Again, these are two different paths, but that does not mean one is stronger than the other.
Mages chose to use magic to become all-rounders. But this was at the cost of not having a strong body.
They had the opportunity to use all kinds of different magic in different scenarios.
Warriors, on the other hand, chose to strengthen their bodies, making it possible to spam their insignia multiple times in a row.
At the same time, they also had an unbreakable body, and if a mage got in close range,

To become a warrior, you would use the mana to strengthen your body. This made it impossible to use magic since you did not have any spare mana left.
If you wanted to be both a warrior and a mage, you would have to use half your mana to strengthen your body. And the other half has to be used as reserve storage for magic.
This is why it was inefficient to be both a mage and a warrior, because your strength would be a lot weaker compared to if you had focused on one path instead.
Then that raises the question: how was Rylan Asehncroft both a warrior and a mage?
Wouldn't he become a lot stronger if he just focused on one path?
The book actually answers this question.
But first, we need to talk about mana.
Both warriors and mages use mana in different ways.
Therefore, mana was essential, no matter which path you took.
The more mana you had, the stronger you would be.
Every awakener starts with some mana; some people have a lot of mana, and some people don't have a lot of mana.
But the amount of mana you have is not fixed.
You can train yourself to get more mana.
A warrior can use two ways to increase his mana.
One is to keep using your insignia. The more you use it, the heavier the toll on your body.
This forces your body to adapt to the heavy toll, which consequently increases the amount of mana you have.
The other reason shocked me when I read it in the book.
You can kill monsters.
The book did not explain much about monsters.
But the book wrote in a way as if it were normal for monsters to exist in this world.
I looked at the transparent barrier.
This also explained the huge barrier that was covering the kingdom. I was wondering what it was for, and the answer was probably to prevent monsters from entering.
The only thing the book explained about the monsters was that killing them could increase your mana.
Monsters already have mana; therefore, killing a monster makes the wild mana dissipate into the air.
This wild mana can be absorbed, but only a very small part of it. Since they can only absorb the purified mana.
So the stronger the monster, the more mana it has. Killing strong monsters will increase your mana more than killing weak monsters.
Mages worked in the same way; if they also killed a monster, they could also increase their mana the same way.
But they have to do something different from using their insignia, if they wanted to increase their mana.
Instead of using their insignia, they have to expend all their mana by using magic. This forces the body to adapt and consequently increases its mana.
This sounds similar to the method a warrior uses, but it's not.
When a warrior increases their mana, the mana spreads out evenly in their body.
When a mage increases their mana, they have a specific location they choose. The most popular being the chest or head.
This is how a mage can easily extract the mana to use as magic.
Obviously, you can't increase your mana indefinitely. Because if you could, then everyone would be insanely strong.
Every person has a limit, and the closer you reach that limit, the slower the progress becomes.
Rylan Ashencroft was different; he was an irregular.
The book mentioned 'Irregular'.
It's so rare that only one is born every 1000 years. These 'Irregular' do not follow the norm of a warrior or a mage.
While other people have to train their mana, 'Irregular' are born with an almost bottomless well of mana.
They continually, by instinct, keep absorbing mana from their surroundings. The mana absorbed from their surroundings simultaneously strengthens their body.
At the same time, they can use magic because of the external mana storage in their surroundings.
Which is why every time an irregular is born, they end up becoming the strongest in that generation.
So Rylan Ashencroft has almost an infinite amount of mana and, at the same time, is both a warrior and a mage.
And this is not taking into account that he can use magic without making complex formulas in his head, while other mages have to do it manually.
