Seeing Ella Jackson leave the filming location, Evelyn Sherman quickly made up an excuse and hurriedly followed her out.
As soon as they were outside, she saw Ella squatting outside the studio, hugging her knees and lost in thought—Evelyn's heart suddenly ached.
"Ella," Evelyn walked over and handed her a water cup, "Take a sip of water first. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. If you really can't do it, I'll talk to the director. I didn't agree with him adding this vulgar scene in the first place."
"Evelyn..." Ella looked at her, eyes inexplicably reddening, then reached out and hugged her neck.
Only then did Evelyn realize that her palms were frighteningly cold, and her whole body was trembling.
This didn't seem like self-blame; it was more like fear...
"Ella, what's wrong? What are you afraid of? Why would you...?"
