Lover's Talk Will Never End

"I will never have a child." she declared without any hesitation. In the past, she wanted a child desperately. No! More than that, she wanted to touch him, kiss him and make love to him. But he had refused her again and again.

He did not visit her chamber for the first year telling her that he was busy. He mostly sleeps in his office or the room attached to it.

But as her position started to fall due to her mistakes, she felt that he was growing more and more distant. In the past, she had only blamed herself. But now that she had thought about it well, it was him!

He was the reason for her fall. If only he had shown a bit of compassion and helped her in learning things, she would not have become that desperate. She would not have made those mistakes. Her eyes turned colder at that thought and she entered the room leaving the stunned Garrison behind.

She would not have a child because she wanted to take care of Rowan.. He was not expecting that kind of words from any woman no matter whom he would marry!

Even if she was telling a lie.. No! Why would she lie when she had shown it again and again that she did not like him. His eyes turned darker at that thought as he followed her in the room.

"You are finally here. I thought the lovers' talk is never going to end." said Lucas in a commenting tone but her words only irritated his sister whose nails were digging deeply in her skin. She was staring at both of them all this time. Garrison was completely lost in her words.

Just what did this bitch tell him that he was looking mesmerized! For Meredith, Garry was a god! No mortal would be able to go closer to him. He was beyond them all. How could a fool like Ana dare to malign him with her presence. Her hatred for Ana only increased.

"I am glad that you are not upset because of my words, I thought you would take time to digest the reality." Meredith softened her voice but Ana ignored her.

She only nodded her head curtly as she asked for juice instead of wine.

Lucas chuckled looking at the glass in her hands.

"Do not tell me that marquees George did not let his daughter drink alcohol." he taunted, "i wonder how you are going to attend your own marriage then?" The couple had to toast again and again with the guests and he had never seen someone toasting with juice.

Meredith smiled too, "if you are worried about the strong effects of wine, why don't you try drinks with low alcohol content. I will suggest…"

"Lady Meredith, there is some confusion. I can drink wine well but I do not want to sleep with the child under the influence of alcohol."

"...." she was going to sleep with Rowan in his room.

"After my marriage, of course, I will sleep in the room of.. So I did not need to worry about being drunk." Ana said with a smile she took the sip of her drink when Lucas chuckled again. He was amused by her brazen words and how she did not care that they were from the royal family.

Nathan gave her a cold glance before continuing his drink as if he was not part of the conversation. After a pause, he started talking about the new gold mine from Garrison.

"If you have any plan about clearing the area from monsters so that we can start mining before your marriage, I am ready to take the risk. But I want…." Ana ignored their conversation as she finished the juice in her hands and started playing with the glass.

She could not leave since they were royals. If they would not excuse her, she could not go. But that did not mean that she needed to entertain them too.

Lucas started paying attention to the conversation of Nathan and Garrison while Meredith was hopping mad. The girl was blatantly ignoring her!

"Anastasia.. I know that you wanted to go closer to the child. But you should think about him too. He is already eleven years old. He would not feel comfortable if you slept with him." Meredith shook her head as if she was handling an insensible child.

Ana smiled brightly, her green eyes shone like the brightest jewel that for a second Nathan paused and looked at both of them.

"Do you think I would worry Rowan, lady Meredith? It was Rowan who suggested that we sleep together. More like we were going to have a whole night conversation on the balcony. He was so excited by my presence that he requested me and I could not refuse the child." She lied. But the expressions of Meredith were worth it.

The woman looked like she had swallowed something foul. Now she could neither swallow it or spit it but had to hold it in.

"In fact, I'm worried that the child would be waiting for me. If I had known that I was going to come here when I went for a walk, I would have refused him. Now he would think I am a forgetful person." her voice turned lower and filled with regret when the expressions of Meredith started to improve.

"Oh! You did not need to worry about it. I would talk to him and explain to him that it was not your mistake." she said with a smile but Garrison's eyes narrowed at her and she paused.

She blinked innocently as she raised her head and smiled at the man she liked but he was not even looking at her.

His eyes were set on Ana as if she was the only one here.

"That would not be needed, you can leave and should not keep the child waiting."
