As both of them started sparring Ray formulated a plan since his experience from these few days was that he was severely underestimated so his plan was based on that underestimation in front of his instructors he may be a beast but he was still considered a kid he first wanted end this thought process too take training him seriously to make sure his progress is satisfactory ( at least for him) he understood that he must not take this world lightly as his life depended on this fucked up plot so he must appropriate measure to ensure the progression of his plan. during the first round, I made it look like that I was frozen due to fear but I was chanting in my mind this was because many people or NPCs as in games didn't understand that chanting is chanting whether verbal or mental so this was another cheat is considered as one if applied like How ray is applying it he was chanting mentally this saved a great deal of time since we talk and read mentally three times faster than verbally and there is then another way to use spells chantlessly which was to advance to the 5th circle and then get a degree of master over it and then use to your convenience but it has many drawbacks so it was considered very rare. ( BACK TO THE STORY) Ray used chantless magic and used water sprout to make the ground slippery after a few rounds he finally moved used the slippery floor to his advantage and slid near Alia then used a fireball and simultaneously started chanting a wind slash spell and released it where he predicted Alia to dodge but it was all in vain she dodge to another side and the knocked him by using a thunder spark he was writhing on the ground for a few minutes soon he got up and then said " again" this continued many times till he collapsed
