Nine | Today

You wake up to your mom slightly shaking you. You look at her and she looked excited. Like super excited. The kind of excited you would feel when a new episode of your favorite anime has been published. Okay enough. She had a wide smile and her eyes were wide and glowing. You wondered why she was so excited. You opened your phone to check the time and date. It was 6:57, Friday. You widened your eyes to the date. Friday!

Prom day!

You didn't have any subject today but you still had to go to school early just for preparation. You got into casual clothes and headed to school with the dress neatly folded in your bag. You wore a black shirt which had a cute white cat printed on the left side of the chest part, shorts, and your converse shoes so you wouldn't have to bring another pair for later.

You were halfway to the school and it was quite cold so you slightly regretted wearing just a shirt without a sweater or hoodie. Kunimi wasn't near by so you thought he just arrived early. Like you, the rest of the students were wearing casual clothes instead of the school uniform. You headed to the bench and there you saw kunimi in a red sweater with a black shirt overlaying it and black pants. He was wearing Adidas shoes. He was casually scrolling through his phone while waiting for you. He noticed your shadow and looked your direction. He blushed as it wasn't often seeing you in normal clothing. You gave him a warm smile, closing your eyes. He wrote on his notebook as you opened your eyes. 'your wearing shorts?' he blushed looking away.

'is there a problem?'

'no, you look good in it. But don't you feel cold?'

'yeah, actually'

Kunimi grabbed his bag bringing out his Aoba Johsai jacket from volleyball. It was neatly folded. He handed you the jacket and you slowly yake it as you slightly bow in thanks. You wore the jacket and of course it was slightly bigger than your usual jackets. It covered half your hands and the jacket covered your shorts from behind which you actually liked. Since over sized jackets are amazing. He blushed and smiled at you since you were happy about the jacket. You both decided to walk around the school waiting for time to pass by. You passed by a third wheeling Oikawa and a blushing Iwaizumi and a girl. You walk pass by them without making eye contact and Oikawa saw you wearing Kunimi's volleyball jacket. He blushed. He thought it looked adorable on you he started imagining hoe you would look in his jacket since it was a lot bigger.

You end up lying down on Kunimi's lap, tired. You decided to sleep since you knew Kunimi wouldn't really mind.

Oikawa walks up to Kunimi and you and his eyes land on your tired figure. "Did you want something Oikawa-san?" Kunimi says coldly his staring got cut off and his attention went to kunimi "oh uh could you give this to Y/n when she wakes up?" He hands Kunimi a small box, smaller than yesterday's box, and it was wrapped with once again f/c ribbon "Thanks" Oikawa slightly bows and walks back to third wheel Iwa-chan and his date.

You woke up from your nap and it really passed time. You look at Kunimi who was looking back at you from the corner of his eye. You looked around and probably knew the time as it would be after the boys volleyball practice by now. You decided to go in the building since that's where prom would be held. You and kunimi part since you both had to change into your attire.

Beautiful f/c dress matching your white converse shoes. You waited for kunimi on the bench near by the boys restroom and checked your phone for a message since it vibrated while you were changing.

Mom♡: Did you get dressed already?

Yes, prom is starting and i already got dressed nwn

Mom♡: Alright thats good to know

Mom♡: Well, I won't mind if you come home late just for your information.

A shadow blocked the light in front of you and you checked who it was. Of course its your, Kitkat kunimi you stood up to hug him and he almost jumped from your sudden action but of course he hugged you back kissing your head. He brought out his notebook and it seemed he had prepared a sentence.

'you look beautiful y/n' you smile at this and wrote down on your notebook. 'Thank you. You look handsome Kunimi' you lightly pat his had causing him to turn into a tomato. He grabbed your wrist and kissed the back of your hand making you turn into a tomato in return.

You're chilling in the school garden with kunimi sitting on the grass.

Kunimi wrote down on his notebook. 'This is from Oikawa' he gave you the small box. You tilted your head slightly and took it and started writing down on your notebook. 'ill open it later'. Kunimi nods and you lay down to stare at the clear night sky. You didn't notice that Kunimi was looking at you so you closed your eyes enjoying the cool breeze.

You felt a soft touch on your lips.

You slowly opened your eyes to Kunimi on top of you.

His kiss was soft.

It felt nice. But your heart was beating like a machine gun from his sudden action.

You started to pick up his pace taking short breathes in between. You wrapped your arms around his neck and he cupped your cheek in his palm. He moved back finally letting the two of you breathe.

"Oi Iwa-chan im gonna go outside and get some air. These girls are annoying me." Oikawa whispers as Iwa-chan slowly dances with his date and nods. Oikawa got through the crowd and outside and took a deep breath. He looked around thinking he was alone. Outside in the garden. There you were. Kissing Kunimi's lips. Oikawa broke into pieces at this sight. Tears formed in his eyes. He felt a sharp pain pierce his heart making his chest hurt. He covered his mouth so Kunimi wouldn't hear his whines. He wiped his tears and and took a breather and went back in the building, broken.

You were giving your last goodbyes to kunimi.

You had to move out but not too far from the place. The thing is you wouldnt be going the Aoba Johsai high anymore. You had to go somewhere else after your mom found out about Oikawa. You kissed kunimi one last time and got in the car. Once you looked back again. Oikawa and Iwaizumi were behind Kunimi. How did you not notice. Were you seeing things? Did Kunimi know? Sigh, you shrug it off and go on your phone where Kunimi was already texting you.

You put your phone down and quickly fell asleep on the way to your new home.
