Chapter 1 -My life is not a cliché

I got transmigrated after dying into a novel world, like I always dreamed of. However, my predicament was just not the cliché I was expecting.

In Arrentela, a vast kingdom with rich nobles, who lived a lavish lifestyle, the aristocracy was powerful, and their king ruled over them, having them under his feet. They would have balls and events at every opportunity, showing off their lavish dresses and outfits. They were shallow and full of pride.

And me... I was totally not part of it. I got transmigrated as a poor commoner girl, really, really poor actually. Her name was Rahua Stronghold. Even though she had such an amazing last name, her family was very poor. I asked a thousand times if they had lost a title or something like that, but everyone just laughed. They were indeed just poor, as poor as you can be.

We lived a contrasting life with the aristocracy. The neighbourhood for the poor was very dangerous and full of people who didn't have enough to eat. I had to work from sun up to sun down to help the family just to set food on the table. We lived day to day, surviving.

I have the character's memories, but it doesn't do much to the story since she wasn't even part of it to begin with, probably just a bystander, who probably died when the famine hit the country. That was a huge event to the main story, and many of the people died of hunger.

What a sad ending.

This character that I am now, and her family - mother, father, and four younger siblings - are destined to die in a few years.

Why do they keep having kids when they are so poor? Even though they look so happy and the siblings are very nice kids.

The whole family is very sweet.

This character is 17, and the oldest after me is 16 years old. Her name is Saya, and she is very sweet and works very hard as well.

The third daughter is 14 years old, her named is Kira. She is feisty and brave, always trying all kinds of businesses to bring money home.

The two youngest are twins, a boy and a girl named Zoe and Zack. They are 5 years old.

According to the character's memory, those two were accidentally made. Robert, the father, was heavily criticized by their close relatives for making more kids when they were still so poor.

The mother, Labella, was forced by these so-called loving relatives to drink something to prevent her from having more children, which made her health deteriorate. That's why she is practically always sick, since the family can't afford a doctor, much less a healer.

Her health is getting worse, and she looks weak and tired. Those relatives didn't help or support this in family, so I don't understand why they would do that. They just had to meddle.

Every time that memory comes to mind or I see any of them, I just get angry. They almost killed the mother of this character with that drink. Well, that part was all from the character's memory, and it was not at all in the original or any other side stories.

From what I remember of the original story, a year after the prince was crowned king, and because of his inability to reign, the famine happened, killing a lot of poor people. The aristocracy took advantage of the opportunity to bring down the royal family. He was then deposed and betrayed by his council, who crowned another man, the villain of the story. And the ML then fought that villain and became the king, and his queen was...

"Oh my goodness, Lady Bianca, you are here again helping the poor. You are such a generous soul," said an old woman, receiving food.

Yep, that's the FL, the cliché of it all... Generous, gracious, beautiful. She was everyone's type but from a small house, the Baron's Covenant daughter.

She meets the ML at a mask ball because she is persuaded by her best friend to go in her stead. That's where they fall in love, and a lot of clichés happen, along with misunderstandings. I just love it.

Basically, if they had just communicated who they were and what they were feeling to one another, it would have been easier.

But that's the cliché trope for you. The villainess... who was she again?

Oh yeah, she was the countess Vilahna Cramer, the daughter of a Count Cramer. She is crazy in love with the ML, and she will be almost borderline dangerous to the FL. Anyways... I read some fanfics of it, and in one of them, the villainess died, transmigrated, and became the FL, and the OGFL (original female lead) became her best friend, and so on and so on.

Anyways, in all the versions, the famine happens, because that's the event that catapults the ML, Ceaser Hisenberg, into action.

So I guess I am just destined to die in the end. I wish I could at least fall in love and live a happy romance life, before dying.

What a cruel world, that I am in.
