Chapter 31 Say It Again

He shoved me into the car before locking the door and driving me back to the Maplewood Area.

When we reached home, I heard Corey giving his servants detailed instructions on how to treat and massage me. 

"Understood, sir," they replied.

My heart fluttered as I took in the scene.

Just then, Corey answered a call. "Don't rush me. I'm on my way now."

Despite his busy schedule, he waited for me at his sister's clinic. He even fetched me back home after the treatment session. Sometimes he treated me very kindly, yet at other times he treated me cruelly as if he hated me.

I told myself that I had to keep my guard up. I could not allow myself to be swayed so easily. 

After ingesting the medicine, I went to bed. Recently, my body was a little weak and frail.

Soon, I fell into a deep sleep. When I woke up, I remembered that I was supposed to pick Luke up from school, so I quickly got up from bed.
