Chapter 2- Starry Nights Metropolis

"Mummy hug" the little bunny stretched her short chubby arms towards Lily asking for a hug.

"Is that movie Queen Lily's Child?" someone asked.

"But she's not married"

"Then is the child born outside wedlock?"

"Then she must be shameless" someone spat out.

"I told you the movie industry is not clean"

They all stare at Lily disdainfully.

Giving birth outside wedlock has always been preached against since ancient times by the people of Snowdrop City. Those that had a child before marriage are always stigmatized.

Everyone looked at Grandpa Dan, wondering what he was going to do. He had always been known as someone who stick to tradition.

Lily had a shocked look on her face. At first, she wanted to ask who was the heavenly couple that birth this child!!

The little girl was about three years old. She was dressed in a pink knee-length gown. Her black curly hair was tied in two ponytails. She has a round face that shows signs of baby fat. Her doe-like eye look dreamy and was filled with a lot of innocence. She had small plush love shape lips that looked like it wants people to kiss them.

Lily wanted to hug this cutie but...

That's not the main thing now

She doesn't have a boyfriend talks more about having a child.

"Lily Smith"!! Wyatt walked towards Lily his face filled with anger.

'pa'!!!

A crisp sound was heard as Wyatt gave Lily a hot slap. Lily's fair face turns red instantly.

" I am so ashamed to call you an offspring of the Smith family." He won't out angrily

Ann looked at Lily with a smirk on her face. She was shocked at first at the revelation of Lily having a child.

But looks like someone met her Waterloo!!

She imagines how tomorrow's headline will be written

Ann smiled, happiness radiating within her.

Her moment of rejoicing was cut short by a crisp slap. Her face became pale from the pain as her blood dripped out of her mouth.

"You.... "

"How dare you frame me?" Lily looked at Ann angrily.

Ann was still in shock over the sudden slap that she just stood transfixed without saying a word.

"How dare you slap my daughter" A woman shrieked.

Dressed from up to toe in designer, this woman was a symbol of " The walking Christmas tree"

"Mom" Ann looked at her mom tears brimming in her eyes.

"Why don't you look at the child and see the similarity between you too"

The lady hugged Ann consoling her.

"It's true, the child truly looks like Movie Queen Lily," Someone said.

"Their nose looks the same"

"Look at their eyes"

"..."

The confused Lily stared at the baby, 'How in the world do I look similar to this child?'

"Little Lily" Grandpa Dan stood up slowly from the chair. His face looks worn and tired. What should have been a joyous moment for him was turned into market women fight.

"This child" Grandpa stared at the baby that was holding the hem of Lily's gown tightly as if she was afraid Lily would abandon her.

"Is this child yours?"

"Grandpa, I have never..."

Grandpa put up his hand, he used the other one to hold his walking stick.

"The child looks exactly like you Lily, there is no denying it. Take the child home, she looks tired"

Grandpa Dan looked at the guest that was engrossed in the free cinema movie that was being displayed.

"I am sorry" Grandpa Dan bowed slightly. "I have made you witness my family 's dirty underwear."

He signed slightly and continue

"I beg of you, let this matter end here. Do not go about spreading it"

Grandpa walked away.

"Father let me help you"

Wyatt came forward to help Elder Dan.

"I need to be alone."

After Grandpa left, the crowd started going home, whispering to each other as they cast a disdainful look at Lily

"Look at what you've done, bastard"

Wyatt looked at Lily his eyes filled with fury.

"Honey" The walking Christmas tree places her arms on Wyatt. " Don't get too worked up. We need to think of how to counter the news tomorrow."

"What would I have done without you Flora?"

They walked towards the exit leaving Lily who stood transfixed, still in shock.

The little bunny looked at Lily, she has been standing for so long that her short legs are already getting tired.

Besides.....

She placed her hands on her stomach, she is so peckish.

She pouted her lips, looking aggrieved.

She looked up at the starry sky,

'I want to go home

She had been sent here by the four Elders of the Starry Night metropolis. Every child born...

No not born,

They are developed by a system called 'Harry' that mixes some sort of human DNA to produce babies.

The babies born in the starry night metropolis are trained by the four elders.

She had been prepared all her life because each child produced by Harry has a mission to carry out. She was sent to this human to be her child but she was not told what to do.

"Mommy"!!!

The little bunny ran after Lily go was about to leave the hall.

"..." Lily stops in her tracks. She turned around only to see the little bunny running after her.

She had forgotten about her. The bunny looks quite funny with the way she runs with her short legs.

She stumbled and fell. She fell and sat on the floor and refused to get up. Her eyes brimming with tears.

She had the look of, ' I had given up

Lily looks at the bunny in an amused way. Lily signed and carried the bunny.

The bunny was so soft and smelt like milk.
