Chapter 3: Xue Ming

The study room of my father is a place where he spend most of his time that's why it's adorned with elegent furnishings and intricate tapestries that excludes an aura of wisdom in the whole room. The room is lighten by a soft, ambient lighting, casting a warm glow over shelves lined with ancient scrolls that contains tons of priceless techniques.

In the centre of the study room, there is a large desk where a middle aged man is sitting on. He has black hair that reaches down to his waist, with red striking eyes, he looks intimidating as well as mysterious. He has a cold face with calculating eyes that peer deep into one's soul if looked closely for too much time.

"Why did you called for me? Father" I said, confused as to why my father who never call me for anything called me out of the blue.

"Come, sit!" He said with a cold tone as I did as he said and walked toward his large desk. There was a seat opposite to my father's seat. Sitting on it, I look at my father.

"How is your progress in cultivation?" He said, his eyes focused on a scroll that he's reading since even before I came.

"I've reached the peak of mayhem realm. With my speed, I estimate that I'll be able to reach Saint realm within a few years." I said, lying through my teeth.

With my speed, I will be able to reach the Saint realm within a month or two but does my father have to know everything about me? No, I need to have a trick up my sleeve.

"Thanks!" I replied to his compliment with a straight face without showing any emotions as there is no need.

"The reason I've called you is to let you know that since your coming of age ceremony is coming near, I want you to be in your best version! I know you'll be but i'm saying this just to let you know." He said, making me confused.

'Is this all he have to say?' I thought, confused about this situation.

"And your fiancée, Xue ming is coming tomorrow, the day before the coming of age ceremony. So, be prepared for that." My father said as I nod my head.

"Well, if this all then, I'll head back to continue cultivating." I said as I stood up from my seat.

"Haha, alright! You can go now." He said as he went back into reading the scroll that he was reading a few minute ago.

After that, I went back to my room using the teleportation jade and when I reached my room, I sat on my bed.

"He's really weird..." I said, remembering the talk with my father.

[Yeah, he really is a weird guy. Who call their son just for some normal talk through a maid?] Eve said, agreeing with my statement.

"Yeah" I said before heading to my cultivation room where I spend the whole day and night there cultivating.

"It's already been the next morning huh? Hm, I should head to the hall. She should have already arrived by now." I said as I stood up from the divine seat I was sitting to cultivate and then stretched out my arms a little before taking out a teleportation jade and activated it as I teleported to the halls.

The halls of the Gu family mansion was really huge with ancient paintings hanged in the walls and spiritual artifacts hanged in the walls.

In the centre of the hall, there was a women with long white hair and a beautiful face with striking green eyes. She was wearing a elegant dress known as "Moonlit Blossom Dresses." The sleeves are billowy, allowing for graceful movement, while the neckline is embellished with intricate lace or beading. Accessories such as jade hair ornaments and pearl earrings complement the attire, adding a touch of sophistication to their ensemble.

As I teleported to the halls, the women with long white hair came running toward me as she took me in a deep hug.

"Gu Tian!! I missed you!" She said, her tone raising a little from the happiness.

"Ahaha, I missed you too!" I said without any awkwardness as if I've known her for years.

It was true as the original gu tian was her childhood friend and after getting the originals memory, I've also got some habits and some emotions of the original gu tian.
