The hardest task for teachers is , handling the students . Like imagine , you are a doctor and you have studied so much about medicine and then someone comes to you and SAYS not asks...that we sneeze because someone's cursing us . The amount of patience needed to understand their mentality and explain them what the real reason is , that too when the person in front of you is so sure about their "fact" ...it's insanely high . And this happens with teachers on a daily basis.
Apoorv sir was indeed one of the best teachers on doubt counter and this reputation came with some consequences . He used to be bombarded by students with a really wide variety of doubts. Some days the crowd used to be so much...that some of us students needed to sit next to him so that all the kids could find space to sit and clear their doubts.
And I think you can already guess I was one of those students . I used to sit next to him facing the other students . Most of the days sir hardly used to get time to even have water or take a break. One of those days I was sitting besides him and just looking at how messy everything is getting . This was one of the busiest days sir had till then . I was just smiling at how patiently he was tackling all the students even when the students were being so loud and sir wasn't even getting a chance to speak. After like about an hour of continuous doubt clearing session the crowd got a lil less and sir got some space . He folded the sleeves of his shirt and sighed while leaning back in his chair for a minute. His innocent and tired face nearly made me laugh...and he looked at me...I tried to hold back my laugh and asked him in a teasing way...
~"sir..how does it feel to be SUCH a famous personality. "
He giggled and closed his eyes while leaning his head on a pole behing his chair . He was about to say something when another girl came to him and asked him another question . Sir looked at her and then turned back to me and said.....
~"I really don't want to answer that question rn. "
I bursted out laughing and so all the other students on his table and he continued solving the questions again .
The girl asked him a pretty simple yet complicated question. If a stone is tied up at a corner of a thread and is rotated from another end ON the table , what would be it's ....ahh leave the question...basically the question was....what is the difference between on and over . Sir tried to explain her the difference for quite long but she was not ready to accept that they have different meaning.
After around 15 minutes of continuous argument she finally got it and left . Sir was so damn exhausted by that time.. and.. side story... me and Aashia were laughing like hell all this time. Finally by the end of the day...everyone left and me and sir were the only people left on the counter. He just closed all his books and kept his head down on the table...I got up and brought him my water bottle to have some water . He nearly gulped down the entire bottle in a minute and sighed in relief. I smiled at him and asked him politely ..
~"Are you okay sir ?"
He looked at me and shook his head and replied with a serious expression.
~"Ahh..I really don't think I'll ever be able to take father responsibility ..."
I giggled and replied with a smile..
~"It's okay sir..!!..just find a good mother for your kids . Simple.!!"
Yea...I think I shouldn't have said that . Sir instantly looked away and his cheeks got all flushed . He started blushing..! with a really irritated expression he replied ~
~"Yea...there's a lot of time in that...I ...think ...I should go now .. its late..you should leave too."
He quickly picked up all his books and left the counter as soon as he could . Won't lie at that moment even I started blushing . Like what was this reaction...he already have someone he started thinking about ....or...what...??..Can't say . I just took all my stuff...and left...with a smile on my face...I don't know what made me so happy but...his face while he was blushing...just made my day....
