Assimilation
Dan stared at the floating piece of leaf in front of him with a face full of excitement. He was using telekinesis, a thing of magic.
The leag hovered in front of him shakily, demonstrating Dan's lack of control. In fact, he was barely holding it high in the air. He could feel the thin thread of mental energy connecting him and the leaf shaking as it was on the verge of breaking apart.
"Come here, you leaf. "Dan whispered and stretched out his arm. The leaf moved and slowly and shakily descended on his outstretched palm.
He smiled and blew the leaf away from his palm. He was now a metahuman. A dream come true.
Dan sighed and smiled again, the happiness bubbling inside him still not finished. It was just too magical to not celebrate it for a long time.
