Dan sat on the bed with an open laptop before him and as he was about to type, he remembered something.
"Lang, quantify my physical stats. " Dan said to the AI in his head.
"Acknowledged. This might take a minute. Please wait patiently. " Lang replied instantly.
Quantifying his physical stats was something that Dan used to even back on earth as it helped him understand the current state of his body. And it also made him feel like he wasn't in the real world which was just shitty in Dan's opinion and was instead inside a virtual game world.
And now after waking up on a new body, he had to do it to understand this body's state.
"Physical statistics quantified. Please close your eyes to view it. "
Dan closed his eyes but instead of darkness, he could see a white wall with writing on it. It read:

Everything was as Dan had expected. The kid was weak even for a fifteen-year-old. His strength and speed were atrocious and his stamina was downright trash.
But there was a new stat which even the AI had no data on which was not expected.
"What is it? Could it be mana? "Dan wondered out loud. It could be mana as it was the only substance in this world that was not found in Dan's previous world. And it was the root of all the significant changes that had happened in this world.
But only metahumans were supposed to have mana? But then he remembered that metahumans had cores while normal humans didn't. So did he have a core?
"No, you have no object inside your body that resembles a core besides your eyeballs. "
Dan sighed after hearing that monotone voice. It always came to dash his hopes away of something good happening.
And now one question remained. Did normal humans have mana? If they did then that would explain the unknown substance in his body but if they didn't then he would have to research more.
Dan typed"Do normal humans have mana? "in the search bar.
A big fat yes came into his view which increased or rather proved that the new substance was mana. As he read more, he realized that every person had mana but to be a metahuman they had to cross a certain threshold after which a mental or heart core would form in the body automatically which was called awakening.
A normal person's mana was in plasma-like form and its density was extremely low which after a gradual increase, would turn denser and denser, thus forming a core.
"Lang, describe the characteristics of the new stat. "Dan said. If it was really like what the article had said,a plasma-like substance then it was definitely mana.
"It is a plasma-like substance with a high dormant charge. But no movement or effect had been detected. "
"Yes, it's mana then. "Dans sighed.
"The new statistic has been named mana. Please provide more data for the basis to quantify it. " Lang's voice rang in his head prompting him to do more research.
