|[Prologue]|
One day, I just woke up with a voice talking in my head…
"That is the wrong way…"
"Fucking stupid mortal, that is the wrong way!"
"Can't you see that I can't do something? Are you really that stupid? How could Ambrose make you his successor when you are an idiot? "
"That is wrong."
"If I was to do that, I would kill him without any worries. That action would be the best way to flex my power, not like you, who hides it. Who are you afraid of?"
He is just an arrogant voice who calls himself a god. But I don't believe him. He even claimed to be the source of my magical abilities. Talking about arrogance, he is an embodiment of it if he ever had a body.
Oh my goodness, this is tiring. But, I am thankful that there are times when he doesn't speak. Well, he might be resting, or maybe he just couldn't do something. I am still grateful for that.
"Hey, mortal, I will help you. I will help you to find who killed your family. Just bear with me, okay? You are not weak like this."
Fuck… I am starting to believe that he might be really a god.
|[Chapter One]|
Once, a calm blue sky suddenly thundered; lightning appeared. The sky suddenly became angry and it spat lightning that struck a mountain. And as the lightning hit, a figure appeared that was akin to a human.
A cloud of smoke covered this human figure's body, more similar to a man's. And as soon as the smoke disappeared, a naked male human was revealed.
It was at the top of a mountain. No other creature that has high intelligence was present.
"Oh... that fucking bitch did me greatly..." The man grumbled.
His body seemed to have wounds. There was one severe enough that blood was dripping out of his flesh. However, what was different about him was that his blood was not red: it was blue.
"For that bitch to do me good. How strongly did she get and how weak did I become?"
"So... this is what I got from being an unnamed god?"
The god grumbled once more. His memories flashed back as well. That had him hard.
He remembered what he was before descending on this mortal world. He was a handsome and reputable starting god and even though he still didn't have a name, he was already famous. And by that time, he got the attention of a female god, who caused him this suffering and agony that pushed him to descend.
"Oh... I forgot that it was my first main fight with other gods... I might be just good with lesser gods..."
The god leaned and supported his body using his hands by putting them on the ground. His naked body flashed for a few seconds, then, later on, another cloud covered his whole body as a sigh was released.
"This is not good. I should look for a person that could help me regain my energy to ascend." He mumbled before his body disappeared into thin air like a cloud of smoke.
At the same time, just when the thunder stopped, a child was born. It was a human boy, with blue eyes and black thin baby hair. A healthy baby was born, and that could make any mother smile sweetly by looking at him.
The baby boy reached his mother's side, despite being still covered with blood. The midwife carefully made his mother look at his face. And just as how peaceful the baby's face was, the mother smiled.
The father was also delighted. He carried his son the next second and shouted as he felt elated. By then, the baby cried in surprise, which made the mother hush the father.
"Don't scare Kaian..."
"Kaian? Ah... right, we talked about it. Keana for a girl and Kaian for a boy."
"And since he is a boy, we shall call him Kaian..."
And on that day, on the same day of a god's descent, a gifted boy was born. But it wasn't discovered by everyone that as he grew, he turned into a selfish and lazy kid.
Kaian's parents couldn't handle him at some point but tried to understand him deeply enough that his actions would change when he matured.
Kaian's parents had already experienced a harsh life, which made them decide to give him everything they could offer. And since he doesn't ask much, they just gave him the liberation he wanted, but a measured one.
When a kid turns five years old in the village, they should be exposed to what life is like. Since their village is secluded, it was rare for the kingdom to touch and assist them, so they grew to protect themselves on their own.
However, in the fifth year of a kid's life, being too hard on them to learn about life wasn't that much of a mandatory one. A kid is still a kid, and liberty at this age should be given to them to enjoy their childhood.
But it was different for Kaian. He grew attached to the easy life that childhood had offered him. That is, when he turned eight, he ignored all the preparation for every villager to learn about fighting.
Then, his parents ignored it again. He is their only child and giving him what he felt he wanted was what they desired. And so, even if the other children of Kaian's age were starting to learn the basics of fighting, he lived easily.
"Here he is again. The lazy kid..."
Villagers grew distant from him. They probably just couldn't understand the kid. Even though he was still a kid, people expected him to be mature, as other kids his age were already mature, accepting the fate they must take.
Hence, as learning about life and learning about fighting were similar to them, they wanted Kaian to learn as well. But they looked at him as if he was still acting like a kid his age.
Kaian had already turned 10, but it seemed like he remained lazy and selfish. He was selfish in the sense that learning how to fight was the way to protect the village. And the fact that he was capable but chose not to learn any form of fighting made him selfish in the eyes of the other villagers.
"Renardo, please teach your kid about fighting. Look, he is already 10 years old, yet he doesn't want to learn."
"Brother, just wait until he reaches his teenage years. He will eventually try to learn about fighting."
"Just promise us, Renardo. He also seemed distant to us."
Kaian's life may be boring because he doesn't interact with other kids, but he only decided not to interact with them because they were too busy learning about fights. For them, everything about fighting was cool.
But Kaian was different from other kids. He wanted to feel peace by looking at the sky, learning about greeneries as well, and most of all, learning about the beauty of life in each person.
In that case, Kaian didn't want to destroy life by learning how to fight. He wanted to see if monsters, enemies of humankind, could be friends with them.
He might be distant towards them, but it was only the perspective of people towards him. It was a stereotype that people unintentionally created within the village.
What Kaian truly wanted was peace, and learning everything about life includes peace.
"Kaian... look at you again. You are playing with the leaves."
