"What's that?" Your mother took another bite of cucumber, sized up the Empress, and asked, "Little sister, what did you just call me?"
"No, nothing."
For some reason, the mighty Empress instinctively stepped back upon seeing your mother. The complex emotions displayed on her stunning face were a mix of longing, reverence, and a slight trace of fear.
"You're here for that rascal of mine, aren't you? He's inside."
The Empress evened out her breathing, and, once calmer, she bowed gracefully to your mother and said softly, "I have other matters to attend to, so I'll take my leave,"
As she spoke, the Empress's figure vanished under your mother's watchful eye!
"Ha!"
Your mother took another bite of her cucumber and, without a word, turned around and walked over to where you were watching TV.
"Who was that at the door?" You grabbed a handful of sunflower seeds from the coffee table and tossed them into your mouth, crunching on them shells and all.
