Chapter 32 - I Will Show You Who I Really Am

After defeating Jake, Felix didn't rush into another battle again. He instead sat on the bare arena floor and watched Jacob fight the dispirited shape-shifter with a smile on his face.

[Digital Overload Deactivated!]

[Emotions Released!]

Jacob who was battling with the shape-shifter frowned under Felix's gaze. It felt like Felix was assessing him to know how powerful he was now.

Jacob wasn't appalled in the slightest, although he wasn't as freakish as Felix who reached 4 Stars- something that even if three lifetimes were added to the life of a human, it was nearly impossible to witness one fight -in a couple of years, he was still a bigger freak than other kids!

The shape-shifter tried his best, but inevitably ran out of health after getting rammed into by Jacob... twice!

[Grey Has Been Defeated!]

[Psychic and Titanic Overlord wins!]

"Not bad. Not bad at all." Felix said with a smile on his face as he walked over to Jacob and gave him a slap on the back, his eyes radiating with pride.

If Jacob wasn't able to defeat Grey... Felix would have second thoughts about letting him fight alongside him in the natural villains' mission - World Domination.

At that point, weaklings become not but baggage. A dragon cannot be the brother of a worm.

"Not bad? That wasn't just 'Not bad'. It was good. Let's swap pointers one day, see which one of us is stronger at the 2 Star Level." Jacob said as he hooked his arm around Felix's neck, a bright grin blossomed on his slightly gold skin.

"You're still at 2 Stars? I don't think I know you..." Felix teased with a grim as he lowered his head and muttered, "Log out..."

Jacob rolled his eyes, and after muttering something to himself disappears into thin air.

[Are You Sure You Want To Log Out?]

"Yes."

Felix closed his eyes and sighed. It was time to return to Heroism... the real Heroism.

----

Felix opened his eyes to find his vision shrouded in darkness. Did the power go off? Why was it raining outside? Where the hell is Jacob?

"Um, you do know that you're groping around towards your room with my gaming glasses on right?" Jacob said with a wry smile as he stared at Felix's arched back. He was a bit baffled to find out someone so smart could act so funnily.

"Cough cough! How wouldn't I know that!" Felix spat out with a righteous expression as he took off the green glasses and threw back to Jacob. He had a wry smile on his face as he added in his heart, 'Heroism has really affected my thought process after playing for so long. It might be time to return to see my team again...'

Thinking of Thundra, Felix smiled subconsciously.

'Let's play a game... let's play Heroism.'

----

[Heroism Online!]

Felix waited for the familiar influx of messages informing him of how strong he had gotten from sleeping or fly slapping or maybe even arse-kicking of veterans, but didn't receive any more notifications.

He looked around himself to find to his utmost shock that he wasn't in his familiar capsule- the small white space, but he was inside a large empty hall with a throne metres away from him.

"What the f*ck is going on here..." Felix couldn't help but curse as he looked around, his mind running at supersonic speeds to process the information flowing into it. Wasn't this Heroism? How did he strangely teleport to somewhere else other than the Inn?

"Young one, don't you know it isn't healthy to spit out so much vulgar in a day? I'm appalled by how you were chosen by him." A soft masculine voice was heard, the tone carried a hint of disdain and arrogance.

Felix turned to the direction of the voice, it came from the throne. More precisely the person sitting on the throne... who wasn't there before.

The person sitting on the throne was a tall broad chested man with sharp silver eyes. His lush golden locks was tied back in a short ponytail with a runic band. He wore a gray loose fitting robe that reached down to his ankles.

'Who wears such ancient clothing in this time... it looks like clothes worn thousands of years ago...' Felix thought as he stared at the man on the throne intently, vigilance and hostility seeped right through his eyes.

"How can a being so vile be entrusted with the task of saving a collapsing universe?" The man mused to himself as he rose from the throne, his eyes glued on to Felix... inspecting every aspect of his body, and soul.

"Who the hell are you, and why are you speaking trash? Who the hell wants me to be a hero? What universe is collapsing?" Felix released a bout of questions, concealing his confusion with vigilance. He had already drew out his energy gun, he had a bad feeling about monologues... it was like a hunch he built up since birth.

The man took a step forward with his left leg, then, with his left leg still hanging on the air he took another step with his right leg. Now, the man stood hovering above the ground with his hands behind his back, a nonchalant expression on his face.

"Do you believe in magic young one?" The man said as he floats toward Felix, and paused at the middle of his flight. His expression quickly changed into curiosity as he lowered his head to gaze into Felix's eyes.

Felix took a subconscious step back, his heart racing as his pupils dilated. There was one thing every human possessed that would never truly be taken away from them... it was fear. And that fear for death, and strive for life is the drive for exponential growth.

Magic... when Thundra brought it up, she had no fact or basis to back it up so it had no impact on Felix's soul or mind. But, when this man before him brought it up... despite his extraordinary ability to process information, something within him clicked.

"I don't believe magic is real. I would only believe something if the facts are shown before me, and proof is beyond reasonable doubt." Felix's eyes flashed as he calmed down and adjusted his stance. He looked into the deep silver eyes of the strange man, and frowned.

He couldn't see through them.

"Young one, just now you asked me who I am... I'd like to show you." The man said as he stretched out his arms, and flashed a bright smile, "I would like to show you who I am."

"What are you-!" Felix was about to stop whatever was about to happen, but was late by half a second. He was helplessly cursing as he saw his vision fade away, and his entire being froze.

Before him were...

Dragons!

Late updates again... sorry guys
