Chapter 22 - Teach Me Swordfighting

Thundra was wandering around the room with an a frown on her face. She would take constant glances at Felix who was still on the bed.

Parts of his black hair had now turned silver. His body was larger than before and his growth rate was visible to the eyes.

'What the hell did he want to evolve into that's affecting his body this much? A silver titan?'

Felix who was unaware of Thundra's thoughts was still writhing around in pain on the ruffled bed. His eyes were now closed, while his jaws were clenched.

<40 more seconds left untill Altering Process is completed!>

Felix heard the reminder in his head and tried not to open his mouth and curse. It was a female voice constantly reminding him of how long remained till the Altering stage of his evolution is complete.

30... 25...

Felix continued to tightly clench his teeth as numerous information began to flood his brain, his head throbbing with pain as he clenched the bed sheets.

10... 9... 8...

Thundra who stood at the side was silently praying for Felix. Although she hadn't experienced pain like Felix and couldn't understand why, she knew that if Felix failed the evolution then his entire genetic make-up would be messed up beyond repair... turning him into a mutated monster even worse than variants and zombies.

3... 2... 1... 0!

'Is it over...' Felix thought as he lifted himself from the messed up bed, his eyes heavy and head muddled.

Thundra gasped as she saw half of Felix's body, she could help but speak out loud, "Oh my god... Felix, is that you?"

Felix was confused for a second as he slowly dragged himself off the bed and noticed something strange. His body was lighter, and his clothes were tighter.

Is it just me or have I grown a whole lot bigger?

Felix's eyes wandered around in the room before stopping at the mirror hung on the wall right besides the bed. His expression began to change.

From alerted to surprised, then shock. He lifted his right hand and touched his face then lowered it and rubbed his biceps.

Smooth jade skin... smooth and tight muscles... Where- where is his body? Who- who is that!

Felix glared at the man in the mirror. Silver hair, silver eyes, jade skin, muscular, tall, handsome...

Even being a goblin was better than being like this, at least he can say it was an outburst of radioactive energy- who am I kidding? Then they'll ask me about Jacob, and why my room didn't have any traces of Radioactive Energies.

He now looked like a Electro Mutant... this was- Wait a minute!

Thundra who was standing behind him struggled to hold back her laughter. Felix looked as if he was going to rip off his face, his evolution really caused drastic changes to his body...

When she saw Felix looking away from the mirror and turning to face her, her eyes darted to the side. "Felix, what did you evolve into? A silver titan?"

Felix who was going to try out his new ability had his brows twitch. He let out a sharp sigh before walking past Thundra to a corner and slumped down to the ground.

In a crouching position, Felix ignored the confused Thundra and spread out his hands trying to summon electricity.

With his eyes closed, Felix tried to access the new powers acquired through his evolution. Activating his genes, a spark of blue lightning flashed between his open hands before disappearing.

That was it! Electronic Ability! Now I know the perfect excuse to cover up my changed appearance.

Jacob! God let that gaming freak be asleep and let him not wake up till dawn or else I'm finished.

If that basket mouth hear anything juicy, the next day it would be turned into an early morning gossip. Jesus, please protect me...

"Huh, it seems you have acquired a new ability... nice! Psychic, now that first step is complete let's continue." Thundra smiled as she waved her hands, "Now, your category has been turned to Dark(Evolved)... focus your will power on it to access your Category Module in your system."

Doing as Thundra said Felix saw a new array of screens appear before him, making him sit up from the ground with a frown on his face.

Felix froze at the name of the strongest member in the Dark Category Community... Was that Northomtomsire? What a mouthful of a name... North would be best for me to call him. Yeah...

"Thundra who's North...ampton...shire?" Felix spoke slowly, slow enough for him to fluently pronounce the sentence and fast enough for Thundra to understand.

"The Dark Category Emperor? What about him?" Thundra said with a confused expression on her face, her slender brows slightly arched as she stared at Felix.

Felix who heard the sentence felt something wrong. In a flash numerous thoughts crossed his mind, as he began to subconsciously analyse the sentence. Being a subconscious action, Felix was partially left in the dark about how it worked, but he had gotten his answer anyway.

She subconsciously tried to avoid calling the name... I won't let this go easily!

"Erm... yeah. That guy... uh... North- north..." Felix feigned forgetfulness as he placed his hands on his chin and looked away from Thundra to a chair at the corner, shielding the mischievous glint in his eyes from her.

"That's simple, his name is Northamptonshire. Not too difficult to say out loud is it?" Thundra said with a smirk, noticing Felix's suspicious actions.

Felix coughed on his saliva. How could she pronounce it so fluently... Luck it must be luck!

"Northamptonshire?" Felix said.

"Yes, Northamptonshire. The Vampire Emperor... What's wrong?" Thundra said as she innocently blinked her eyes.

"You know what? Forget it. Now I have another thing to ask of you..." Felix's expression turned serious as he straightened his back and said, "Teach me sword fighting."
