Odelia Grace, a beautiful and smart woman, a secretary of a big company, had to give up the career she had at a young age for a marriage with the CEO of another company, Vincent Percy. A beautiful marriage turned into a nightmare because of their abuse. "You barren woman! My son is jinxed because of you, he shouldn't have married you in the first place!" snapped her mother-in-law. Until one day, Odelia was kicked out of her own house and went to a hotel for the night. She accidentally met a man who was drunk. Unintentionally, there was a hot night between the two of them. And after that night, Odelia finally realized that she was not barren and that she was carrying a baby. The baby of her ex-husband's enemy, Sean Osbert.

The banquet that Sean said was taking place that night, Megan helped Odelia to dress up because Sean had asked her to. He knew Odelia had often attended banquets when she was with Vincent, but this time it would be different.

"Your hair is very pretty, you should decorate it more beautifully. I have a lot of hair ornaments that you can try," Megan said as she picked up her box of hair ornaments.

There were many shapes of hair ornaments, from flowers, leaves and others that were so beautiful.

She styled Odelia's hair neatly to keep her ginger hair looking beautiful in front of everyone.

"Don't you think my makeup is too much?" asked Odelia as she looked at herself in the mirror.

"Not at all, you're very pretty! I'm sure Sean will like it too. Didn't you do your hair before?"

She shook her head, saying she just braided or straightened her hair without putting on a hair clip.

"Huh?! Is your ex-husband that clueless that he wouldn't buy you one?!"

"N-no, that's not it. I was the one who was worried that it wouldn't fit when I wore it," Odelia replied.

"So you have no confidence in yourself? Odelia, you are very beautiful, and so is your hair! Your blue eyes, ginger hair and fair skin. I can even imagine that your kid will be pretty or handsome too. Plus Sean has a rare eye color," Megan said, putting a hairpin in Odelia's hair.

Odelia admits that Sean's eyes are very beautiful, gray in color which is very rare and not everyone has it. Very different from the eyes in general.

"Well that's done, now let's go out and show my brother that my sister-in-law is very beautiful."

Megan and Odelia walked out of the room to catch up with Sean who had been waiting since earlier. He was sitting in the living room looking at his cell phone.

"Sean, look who's done dressing up!" said Megan happily as she pointed Odelia out to him.

Sean stood up from his chair when he saw his beautiful wife wearing a red dress that matched her hair. She smiled as she walked over to Sean.

"What do you think?" asked Odelia.

Slowly his hand reached up to her face and touched it. "You're very beautiful, you always look beautiful," he said.

"Thank you, you're also very handsome," she replied then straightened Sean's tie.

Since they were all ready, they went to the banquet venue in an expensive and famous hotel.

Getting out of the car, they went to the 12th floor.

"Maybe I'll look for Federick first outside the hall. You two go inside first, I'll look for you afterwards," Sean explained. "Megan, make sure Odelia is okay until I get back."

"Yes, sir!" replied Megan with a chuckle.

They finally parted ways near the hall door where security was checking the guests' invitation cards.

"Oh yes, the invitation card. If we bring Sean's, how will he get in?" asked Odelia.

"Don't worry, I have my own invitation," Megan replied and handed it to the guards.

One of the guards examined the invitation and handed it back to Megan, allowing her and Odelia to enter.

"I didn't know that you also had an invitation to this banquet."

"I have a small company that provides design and decoration services. Some companies use our services for certain events, such as this banquet," Megan replied.

"Really? The decorations are very beautiful, I really like how you did it. I also like the furniture arrangement in Sean's house, he said you did it," said Odelia complimenting the woman.

"Yes, I did it. And I'm glad you like it."

Inside the hall, it was already crowded with guests. They were all business people and their spouses. Quite often there were also those who brought their families to participate in the banquet.

Odelia saw how Megan acted very differently in front of others. She became very elegant and charismatic, even from how she spoke, she didn't look as spoiled and childish as she used to show at home.

"This is Odelia, she's my older brother's wife. Odelia, they're both business friends of mine. We sometimes collaborate to do big decorations and stuff," Megan explained as she put her arm around Odelia.

"Hello, my name is Odelia Osbert," she introduced herself and then shook the hands of the two women in front of her.

They chatted with each other and they realized that Odelia had only been drinking orange juice.

"You're not drinking the wine, Odelia? It tastes so good, it's an expensive wine," said one of them.

"Oh no, I can't drink at the moment," she replied with a smile.

The two women were surprised by Odelia's answer and at that moment Megan replied that her sister-in-law was pregnant with her brother's child.

Of course they were both surprised, but immediately congratulated Odelia. She smiled when she heard it.

However, that smile faded when she heard people talking about a woman who had just arrived.

"Isn't that Miss Deborah? She looks very pretty, doesn't she?" complimented one of the guests.

"Right, this is the first time I've seen her in person."

Hearing Deborah's name mentioned, Odelia turned her head and saw Monica standing in a very elegant and expensive outfit not far from her and Megan.

Nearby were the two women who had been constantly comparing herself to Monica, Samantha and Alice.

"They are... Here... What should I do?" she mumbled in confusion.

"Pretty? Heh, I'm much prettier than that ugly woman," Megan said, shaking her hair. "Right Odelia?"

She turned to the woman next to her, but Odelia was silent and looked very worried. This puzzled Megan because Odelia had been acting normal before.

"Odelia, are you okay? Are you feeling dizzy or sick to your stomach?" she asked again worriedly.

"Megan, can we go to the corner of the room? Or maybe out of the hall, wait until Sean comes?" asked Odelia as she asked Megan to take her away from there before Samantha and the others saw her.

"Huh? Oh well, let's just wait for Sean outside. Looks like you need some fresh air huh?"

Megan took Odelia's hand, leading the woman to go out of the hall.

However, just about to leave the place, it turned out that one of them had already realized about her presence.

"Look who came here, huh? Shameless barren woman," said Alice, who was standing behind Odelia.

She turned her head and found her former sister-in-law standing there looking at her smugly.

"What did you come here for? Trying to seduce Vin with that makeup of yours? Heh, don't expect it! How did a woman like you get into a party this big anyway? Did you get in illegally?"

Alice grabbed Odelia's wrist which made her whimper in pain.

"Let go of me, Alice!" She tried to pull her hand away but she gripped her wrist even harder.

Megan who witnessed this immediately acted by raising her hand and slap Alice on her face.
