CHASES BY THE DEMON CEO (UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN)

GLIMPSE FROM THE BOOK.

It's been a week since May had resided with Xavier. It would be odd to say that in those days, none of them conversed with each other again after that discussion.

She understood she had wronged him but humanity deserves a second chance. Even God favoured her and bestowed her another chance but that pompous man was playing arduous to get. She was so remarkably frustrated. If things blathered on like this, how will she win his heart?.

She couldn't tally the times she had attempted to seduce him but the man acted mellow about it. Even now, she had worn a seductive bikini to enthral him but the man was vigorously flipping through some irksome newspaper.

May patiently grabbed her seat to his viewpoint. She squatted down and pretended to moisturize her body. She patiently brought her elegant hands to her smooth legs. Periodically, she would check if the man was ogling but to her dissatisfaction, his full fixation was on the sheet.

With a whiff of a salacious voice, she mumbled "I wonder why it is so hot today...maybe I need company" She peeked at the man once more and pouted.

But, she didn't stop.

"Brother Xavier, can you help cream my back? I feel sweaty" She cried sheepishly, she caught the man's attention but when they both met eyes, May jumped in fear.

He was throwing her a sharp dagger. 

"Why?" was the question thrown at her by the man. May laced her brows and pretended she was confused and this agitated the man. He took hold of her chin and pinched her cheeks.

"Why are you doing this? To grab my attention? May you have better things to do with life than irritating me" was the bitter words he told her before he rose to evacuate the pool.

May bit her lips sadly and grabbed his stiff wrist before he left.

"W...we need to talk, brother. I know I had rejected you then but believe me, I wasn't in my right mind. After that awful day, I have been thinking about you, trust me. I admire you now...as a man. I just need a chance to prove it to you" 

Xavier had a wry smile after her profession. He turned to her and patted her hair.

"You are still a kid, you just want someone to replace that space in your heart...As your elder brother, I won't support you" He half-smiled.

May blinked her brown eyes at him with a deep frown "You are not even my biological brother...don't I like you? Didn't you say you love me? What now? Can't I get another chance?" She felt wronged "My main purpose coming here was to regain your love, brother" She held his hands, her eyes desperately digging for something.

"Y...you don't love me anymore?" 

A bright light shone in the man's eyes as he gazed at her desperate expression but he coerced himself not to be affected. He had long overlooked everything and besides, he didn't deserve her.

Teasingly, he said "You can have my dogs...they can give you love"

"Ahhhh, you will feed me to your carnivorous dog...and my love?" She boldly spouted, her eyes seeking answers from the man.

"You probably don't cherish your life, is it?" The cold man curled his lips upward in a mischievous way. When he moved toward her, May speculated he was going to kiss her, so she had puckered her lips to be kissed but then she was abruptly carried and the unforeseen happened.

The man had tossed her into the pool so severely and brutally.

"Love the water?" Xavier smirked.

"Brother, you are bad...I don't like you anymore" The man shook his head.

"You are a grown-up woman already May. Twenty-two at that, so stop throwing tantrums and return to your father. You are not needed here" He coldly uttered and left her inside the cold water.

May was displeased with his attitude. She felt like crying after being given the cold shoulder. She wasn't lying when she said she liked him. She had started liking him but now he was the one rejecting her.

She felt tears fill her eyes and gradually they fell.

"Why did you become so cold? Why don't you give me a chance?" She whined.

In a corner, Xavier heard her sobs and felt stung in his heart. He felt uncomfortable in his stomach and began coughing. When he noticed his cough was getting intense, he hurriedly left the pool to his room. He pulled on the second drawer and took out a medicine.

'I am not your other half, I am sorry'

May woke from a strange dream of her encountering a blind man. She shook her head and thought of it as just a dream. She looked around with conceited stares, her eyes narrowed as she remembered her last memory.

'Wasn't she on the road? When did she get here? Has she been kidnapped?'

The door to the bathroom opened and out was a splendid Adonis. Her eyes quirked in awe and her lips were slightly parted.

'Am I dreaming or my kidnapper is so handsome?' She wasn't even done when she saw the man giving her a distant look. His enchanting grey-blue eyes bored into hers. That's when she heard his cold question "Who are you?"

Out of reflex, she retorted back "I should be asking that and why did you bring me here?" Her eyes blinked rapidly as a thought came to her mind, she instantly removed the duvet from her body. Glad that she was safe, she sighed in relief "Pervert kidnapper" She snorted.

Alex grabbed his walking cane as he approached her. May fidgetted in fear. She thought the man wanted to beat her.

"Y...you!! Stop there, I swear I am going to scream for help...stop right there, why are you coming forward?" Her voice softened "Please don't hit me".

Alex felt like he had seen that scene from somewhere like Deja Vu. He slapped the came on the men aggressively.

"GET OUT OF MY ROOM..." He found her arms and dragged her off his bed to the floor "GO BACK TO WHEREVER YOU CAME FROM"

May was taken off guard by his roars. She was stunned for a moment before she found herself being thrown to the cold floor.

"I MUSTN'T SEE YOU IN THE ROOM AFTER I AM DRESSED OTHERWISE YOU WILL GET IT BAD" His grey-blue eyes were staring at her with disgust. May was stupefied.

"D...DIDN'T YOU KIDNAP ME?" She returned his attitude. From her experience in life, she knew how to retort back.

Alex glared at the stupid woman.

"Why do you think I will kidnap a cheap whore like you...go look for your kidnapper some other place, not my room" He wearily took her arms and threw her out of his room.

*Bang*

The ear-cracking sound jolted May and the others who had been peacefully sleeping.

"GET LOST!!!!" He yelled and made his way back to the room "She dares enters my room and call me a kidnapper".

In disarray, May blinked at the door shut at her.

'What is going on

The feeling of not understanding. There are some series of circumstances when a person knows they were at some place but unwantedly, they find themselves in another niche. That's how May felt.

The last thing she remembered was leaving Xavier, and then she was stranded on the empty road. She remembered she saw an expensive car and decided to pretend to faint.......what happened next? How did she get here?.

Amidst her thoughts, the once shut door harshly opened once again. As soon as her eyes met with the furious grey-blue ones, her first idea was to run away but her hand was tightly grasped.

"OUT!!! ALL OF YOU COME OUT OF YOUR DAMN ROOMS RIGHT NOW" His furious voice almost broke the timid woman beside him.

'What type of problem have I come to encounter now?' She moaned in her heart.

In the living room.

The family members in the house immediately came out after hearing his cry. They didn't understand what happened as it was rare for the younger master to call for them.

A young lady just like May came forward with a frown. She was about to complain when she saw her elder brother with a woman. Her jaw dropped in shock. 

"B...brother, who is she?" Her eyes urged for a reply as she was excited. Her previous annoyance vanished.

Alex looked at his sister, jabbed his cane to the floor and exclaimed "I should be asking you...why did you bring your friend to this house?"

"B..but brother I don't know her...this is my first time seeing her"

Alex turned his gaze from his little sister to the other members. When they shook their heads, he got angry.

"WHO DARES TO TAKE THIS WOMAN INTO MY ROOM WITHOUT MY PERMISSION?!!!" 

"I DARE TO, STUPID GRANDSON" The lament of an Old Man came from the stairs. The whole members, even May looked at the grey-haired man descending the stairs. She squirmed under the man's hold when she felt pain in her wrist. 

She murmured in pain "You...are hurting me" but the man's hold tightened even more.

"Stop bullying the young woman, stupid grandson" The Old Man frowned.

Alex gritted his teeth "Grandfather, what's all this? You know I hate strangers entering my room"

The Old Man shrugged off "She isn't a stranger"

This time Alex's sister spoke up in confusion "Grandfather, what do you mean?"

The Old Man felt like he was living with dumb people "Forget it...as time went you will understand"

"Old Man just tell me what this is all about" Alex couldn't take it anymore. He finally released the woman's hand and approached the man.

"Grandfather...wherever you got that woman from just take her out of my sight"

"Why? It's not like you can see or anything. When I ask for a great-grandchild you refused. When I asked you to marry you declined. She will be staying in your room from now on because she is your future wife"

*Shriek*

"..."

"..."

"What?!!"

"Huh" May was yet to register her new discovery. The man was blind. Then suddenly this Old man shows up and says they were going to get married.

'The hell is going on

I think I have made a mistake by leaving brother Xavier.

It was the halfway point of the afternoon, so the sun was unbearably hot. In the car, Krist was feeling extremely heated and eager for a drink. He tapped at Ark's arm before saying.

"Do you have a bottle of water there?" Ark gave him a weird look from the front mirror before he turned the car. He noticed they were going to the route of a market.

"They should sell water at the market," The guard told. Kris heard his words but frowned. He hated the slums and even everything related to them. What if he died from a disease after consuming the water? Or do they turn him into their food? He hated how they were always occupying his mind.

"Boss, in the meantime, please stay in the car...I will go look for water for you" Ark looked for an area to park the car but couldn't find one. He looked outside the window and sighed.

"The place is dirty and unhygienic so I will advise you never to get off" Ark cried and reluctantly opened the door in search of water. Meanwhile, Krist had shut his eyes to take a rest.

'Sir, I sell a handkerchief...you must feel hot, you should buy one...it is three collic'

'Hello, I sell fish...they are portable and enjoyable'

The poor man couldn't even have a little rest as those sellers were launching their items. He fisted his hands and threw cold daggers at them. The sellers immediately scurried off in fear.

Kris looked at his wristwatch and ran a hand through his hair.

"Where the fuck are you?"

It's been twenty minutes since the bodyguard had been gone. Krist felt like he was drenched in sweat, and he needed to get off the damn car before he suffocated from the heat. As in descended from the car, the calm wind hit him and he felt so relaxed. While relishing that moment, he was aware of the eyes observing him like a hawk.

'What can I do when I am so handsome?' He mumbled to himself conceitedly. 

He was enjoying the tranquil breeze when something slapped his face. He opened his eyes to see the figure of a young body. He blinked his eyes as he stared at the familiar back, and to fathom his suspicion, he brought his hand forward to turn the person around.

His hand hadn't reached her yet when some liquid was thrown at him. He covered his face only to smell some stinking odour on his body, and with a deep frown, he put his hand under his nose to perceive what had been tossed at him.

His frown deepened.

'Fish water?'

As soon as he discovered that, his eyes flared. He remembered his father's words 'Never cause trouble'

This time they were the ones who caused trouble. He clenched his jaws when the assaulter didn't turn around to apologise. He saw a boy looking at him, then at the person in terror, but still, that person ceased to turn.

Out of annoyance, he tried to yank the person and give them a piece of his mind. As if they had perused his mind, the person twirled to look at him. Krist hardened as he recognised those eyes. How could he forget those deep set of golden-brown eyes?

Only two words left his lips "You again!!!". After those words came out, the stupid girl had thrown another water of foul-smelling fish at him. The sellers on every side gasped in shock at what transpired. Krist had not gotten over his previous anger and now the little girl had outraged him the more.

The two stared at each other. One was sheepishly frightened and palpitating in fear while the other was crazily vexed. 

"You...."

Krist had not finished his words when he was she had fled shouting "Papa, mama...."

If she hadn't escaped from him and accepted her mistake maybe then, he would reduce her punishment but she had the guts to run and call for help from her parents.

"This obnoxious fatty!!!" He cursed and ran after her.

"Sister"

"Boss" Ark had returned with two bottles of plain water. He was just about to reach his boss when the man ran after some girl. Since the man was a playboy, he thought he wanted that girl so he ran after her.

'But boss, she is just a little kid'

Lilac felt like crying when the man was pursuing her. She just wanted to escape and never show her face but why did he have to run after her.

"Fatty, stop right there now!!" was the cold yell from the man behind her. The two had been running, passing through other stalls without stopping. They had even destroyed some pieces of stuff.

"I will when you stop" Lilac shouted, her voice hoarse. Never in her life had she run like she was running at that moment.

Krist jumped over the fruit table blocking his way and ran after the girl. The sellers followed after the two as well as they were enjoying the show.

"Please Mr, stop following me...I am tired and could collapse at any moment from now"  was Lilac's pitiful words.

"I will stop when you collapse...you fatty, haven't I warned you not to show your face again? The last time, you got beaten up and now you had the guts to throw that stinking water at me" Krist yelled.

Lilac waved her hand but never stopped running. Right now, she was getting close to her house. Her initial plan was to get to her home and lock up herself.

"I didn't know you were there... I won't say sorry because I am not at fault".

Most of the sellers who were following them could not catch up anymore, they tiredly stopped and went back to their shops. 

From afar, she saw her house and smiled. Her fragile body suddenly bumped into a body. She looked up and sighed in relief when she saw the person.

"Ah!! brother Zach" She embraced him tightly. Zach felt her behaviour was strange, that was when he saw people running from behind. He noticed some man who was wet approaching.

"Brother Zach, stop that man...he wants to kill me...he says he will kidnap me and then send me far away from you...but I don't want to go" Lilac skilfully lied, she was gasping for breath after the fast chase from the race. She didn't even notice the cold demeanour on the man's face.

"He wants to steal you from me?" He murmured, his look coarsened. Lilac subconsciously nodded her head.

Krist was very mad that she had made him run that far. He had just reached her only to see her firmly embracing some man. He stopped.

"Boss" Ark cried out from behind.
