Goblin Exterminator

Jin rested on a tree not far from his previous battle. The sun was slowly rising and he wanted to finish up what he started.

"No goblins will be alive today" he vowed.

He drank a bit of water before going back to the cave entrance. On the way there he was feeling excited to maybe find some human being that could talk.

After a few minutes of wandering, he made himself back to the cave and was not surprised to see another guard. However this time there were 3 of them.

"Their leader must have some superior intelligence," Jin thought before casually walking towards them.

With his upgraded stats his reflexes and battle sense increased immensely. His physique also had many changes. Jin's chest muscles were almost bulging out of his shirt and his whole upper body changed finally looking like a proper swordsman.

Jin used his superior speed and strength, he quickly killed the goblins with a few thrusts. The sword deeply sank into their flesh and the goblins' screams could be heard.

"Yes scream more and more, suffer more so your friends come," He said out loud and waited outside.

Jin decided to not yet enter the cave due to him not knowing its surroundings. Who knows there could be traps or a tight space where it would be hard to use his sword.

"Rkkh!!"

"Kaarh!"

"Oh here they come" He murmured and took a stance.

"Ooo 10 of them and a goblin with a staff?" He thought excitedly.

"Finally a new enemy! Show me your magic" He shouted curiously at facing new enemies to strengthen himself.

He waited for the goblins and then started engaging. He got distracted after seeing the mage preparing some spell in the back and giggled a bit.

"Oh right!" He quickly reminded himself to finish off the goblins currently slashing his legs.

"Hmm, it doesn't hurt anymore" He realized when the goblins penetrated his skin with their weapons.

A few seconds went by until all of the goblins died from his fast slashes.

"Let's see what you can do" He murmured and waited for the goblin to use its magic.

Eventually, the goblin finished its spell and a basketball-sized fireball magically appeared in thin air.

"Wow, although I'm a swordsman it's cool as hell," He thought and analyzed the ball of fire.

The goblin shouted something and the fireball was sent to Jin at high speeds.

Woosh!

"O-oh shit!" He shouted not expecting its speed.

He desperately tried to block it but he instead cut it in half and the other half of the fireball grazed his shoulder.

"Ahhh!!! Fuck hot! hot hot.." He exclaimed and started patting his shoulder quickly to put out the fire.

"Phew" He then said after seeing he wasn't burning anymore.

"Well that's new" He continued and started laughing.

"Rkekrhs!!??" The goblin shouted wondering how Jin even managed to cut a fireball in half. He had never seen a human being capable of doing that in his life.

"Surprised?" He asked the goblin before quickly dashing towards it finishing him in a clean swipe.

"Is that why magicians are popular? I mean it's fast and destructive but the time it takes to cast it is a heavy con" He said to himself before checking his burn wound.

His shirt was sticking to the open wound and smoke could be seen radiating off it.

"Does this classify as a scar?" Jin eventually said in an excited tone.

"Is it worth more because it takes more time to heal?" He wondered.

Jin knew almost nothing of how the scars functioned so he reminded himself to conduct several experiments in the future.

"Let's see I gained only 5 small-sized scars.. my skin must have gotten tougher from my Vitality" He concluded since almost 8 goblins were slashing at his legs with no mercy.

"Well that's pretty cool" Jin murmured and decided to finally enter the cave with caution.

Upon taking a step into the cave he instantly sensed danger. Jin sensed huge amounts of bloodthirsty coming his way. But there was no one in front of him.

His eerie feeling grew larger and the hint of danger made his skin shiver. After around 10-15 steps he started feeling some unknown pressure as if someone was sitting on his back.

"Should I really continue?" He wondered. Jin was receiving all these signs to not approach but continued.

In the next moment, he abruptly stopped and raised his sword. With sweat running down his forehead he tightly gripped the handle of his sword ready to engage.

"Someone is here.." He murmured, Jin could see through the cave however something told him that was not the case.

Ting!

Suddenly a dagger was thrown onto the top of his head from the roof at high speeds. Jin tried to completely avoid it but was met with a stab into his lower stomach area.

"S-shit.. distraction" He muttered out loud while trying to gauge the damage. Jin had a 6-inch deep hole in his stomach making him bleed out quickly.

"I have to finish this quick," He thought and tried to focus with his senses to find the seemingly teleporting opponent.

Jin instantly used 70 points to upgrade his agility and 25 to the others.

"Fuck!" Jin shouted when he fell. He used too many points to upgrade his stats and it backfired.

His legs started cramping and he could barely stand. His opponent noticed this and started throwing more daggers at his lower area to minimize his mobility.

"Shit get up!" He shouted while screaming in pain.

Jin's bones were growing longer and the muscle tissue came with it. He had grown 14 centimeters to suit his newly acquired agility.

His opponent decided to finally finish him off and dashed towards him at high speed. Jin pushed himself up like Spiderman and deflected the dagger coming his way.

"Krkehs!??!" The goblin shouted in shock.

The goblin dashed back and after images could be seen. Jin feeling his new strength instantly started chasing him around the open area.

"Krrrr" the goblin murmured while being chased.

Eventually, the goblin reached his arms reach and it was game over for the goblin. Jin sunk his nails into its traps and pushed it down onto the floor. He tightly gripped the goblin's flesh and started stabbing ruthlessly through the goblin in anger.

"Haa.. haa." He exhaled in exhaustion and sat down.

"Annoying damn goblin!" Jin then shouted and kicked the corpse.

After a few minutes of rest, he stood up and searched the body to find nothing. He cursed his luck and eventually started walking through the cave not caring of his wounds.

Jin's state was not the best as half his leggings had been torn off and his shirt was gone too from the fights.

"Waah..." a cry could be heard.
