The comentators immediately grew excited seeing Long Tian's state:

As Long Tian and Shang Yun fought, spiritual energy in the surrounding area surged towards Long Tian, as his cultivation repeatedly broke through surging all the way to peak of Core Formation Stage Eight. When the fluctuations calmed down and the fain silhouette of Ox fully formed he finally opened his eyes.

The Ox behind his back rose its head in a roar, as a faint white aura formed around Long Tian's fist. He slammed his fist into Shang Yun, who didn't defend, going hit for hit in his berserk state. After the fist hit him Shang Yun coughed blood and got thrown outside the arena boundary, landing in the hands of one of the nearby medics, completely unconscious.

Long Tian smiled, then fainted, falling into waiting arms of Long Yin, who had long since sensed his exhausted state. After a few more matches, the competition concluded for the day with another 16 people getting eliminated in each bracket, leaving a total of only 32 competitors left. The draws were also done for the next round. Long Yin's next opponent was a bye, as upon matching with her the poor soul from #10 High went pale with fright and immediately surrendered. The good news was that Fatty Hao seemed to have devil's luck, as his opponent was the sole remaining Core Formation Sixth Stage student, so he was allowed to fight.

The whole class went back to their rooms, then straight to sleep as they all were extremely exhausted. The following day they once again got up early, then went to the arena after breakfast.

The first one to fight was Fatty Hao. Due to sheer difference in techniques and cultivation he knocked his opponent out with a punch, then went to spectate rest of the matches, as his advancement to top 16 was guaranteed.

The second fight was Rou You, who ran into a dark horse from #3 High, who was Golden Core First Stage. After a quick exchange she surrendered and moved to loser's bracket. Long Tian's opponent was a student from #8 High, who had the same cultivation level. After exhanging three moves Long Tian won. As the rest of the matches played the students from #1 High observed their opponents trying to deduce who'd be their future opponents. Soon it was time for dinner break. After eating at a local restaurant the schools gathered once again the draws for top 16 began. This time the fights were announced out loud after each draw.

- First fight is #1 High's Chen Hao versuuuus...#1 High's Rou You, what a coincidence! Bad luck for #1 High!

Hearing the matchup Fatty Hao immediately surrendered, earning Rou You a bye. As more matches were called, Long Yin's name was finally called.

- #1 High's Long Yin versuuus... #4 High's Cho Gah.

If the familiar-sounding name didn't shock Long Yin, then the fact that he decided to fight surely did. Lastly, after final few matches were called came Long Tian's turn.

- #1 High's Long Tian versuuus... #4 High's Eili Se.

Coincidence, this had to be coincidence. Though as she looked at #4's banner and spotted "officialy supported by Protest Games" next to the school logo, Long Yin finally understood why the names sounded familiar.

As the matches were fough she saw the familiar faces of Zhang Shi and Shang Yun, as they both won their matches. After a few hours her match was called. She entered the arena, facing a neon-red wearing youth. When the fight started his first move was to attempt taking a bit out of her fist, while screaming:

- Feasting on Unsuspecting Jungler!

Long Yin assumed it was the name of the biting attack. It didn't really matter, as her fist knocked his titanium teeth prothesis out of his mouth, completely knocking him out.

If that wasn't enough to creep her out, then the fact that Long Tian's opponent turned out to be a girl dressed in black latex decorated with red spiders, who immediately assumed a position similar to crab walking fitness exercise on all fours, supporting herself with her hands and attacking with her feet definitely was. Fortunately the creepy sight didn't last long as Long Tian's Monkey decided to Climb the Tree of her bum, as he kicked her ass so hard she landed outside the stage.

Long Yin guessed that their high cultivation levels of Peak Core Formation were why they even managed to get that far, with such nonexistent fighting skills. As more and more matches concluded the first "casualties" started as some schools got eliminated. The first go go was #10, followed by #9, #8, #7, #5 and #6, which caused a lot of excitement, as #6 High was going to be promoted, as this was their fifth year in a row placing above #5, earning them the right to promote.

With the conclusion of top 16 matches, the last day would be time for quaterfinals, semifinals and finals. The quaterfinals were as follows:

Losers bracket - Rou You vs Shang Yun; Cho Gah vs Eili Se.

Winners bracket - Zhang Shi vs Long Tian, Long Yon vs Shi Feng, who was the mysterious Golden Core dark horse from #3 High. As everyone was preparing to go to their rooms for rest, the comentators presented a surprise announcement:

- Everyone, it is our honour to inform you, that an unexpected gust will come to observe tomorrow's matches. His name is Cheng Bo and he's the president of Education Committee on this planet, in other words he supervises the work of our high schools. Please be on your best behaviour tomorrow.

All schools went back to their rooms, deciding to go to sleep early, tobe presentable the day after.
