07: A genius is born... or is it a monster?

"That's it for the affinity level ceremony. I will exit now."

The King immediately said" All at this event must swear secrecy about this boy's talent. Let me talk with the duke here and we will decide when to reveal this boy's prowess." The king said loudly.

Everyone then shouted "By the order of the king!" and then the families continued to talk among themselves while two families made a quick exit.

As you can guess, these two families were the Holt family and the royal family. They proceeded to the Holt manor and decided to talk immediately about Alexander's skills and what to do about them. But Alexander had an idea that he shared with the others.

"Excuse me, I have an idea."

"...I'm listening." 

"What if I hid in the manor on the context of having an incurable contagious disease till two weeks before the Strome academy's testing time and just before that time my father will report the disease gone right before an event near that date so that I can make my public appearance in the capital. But before I finish, I have a question for you."

"What?" 

"Well.. could I get engaged to princess Ivy?" He asked while his face went red.

"Why?"

"Well firstly it would be a better plan to come out with an engagement then a couple months later come out with the fact that I have a disease. This will also most likely lead to someone challenging me for princess Ivy's hand. This will help all of us because for me less people will mess with me if they heard the news. For you it would show that you didn't actually pick someone incompetent."

"Secondly.... well I talked to her earlier and.... I kind of like her and I don't want to miss out on her just because of my extreme talents." Alexander regained his blush from earlier while he said this.

"Hmmm alright."

"Wait. what?"

"I can tell your a good kid so I'll let you two be engaged... but only if my daughter agrees to it as well."

"Alexander I will go set up one of the secret barracks for you. Go say goodbye to everyone I am sure the others will miss you as well." Glenn spoke for the first time.

"Alright."

Alexander went to go say goodbye to his siblings and mother. His mother and sisters cried and hugged him for the last time before not being able to see him for ten long years. Meanwhile the boys both said " I guess we will see you in ten years then. Oh yeah don't forget, next time you come out you will definitely be an uncle okay." "Alright, I look forward to it." Alexander didn't think about it but he was excited to have nephews and nieces. 

Alexander then walked over to the secret barracks while remembering how his life had been so far. When he thought about it he was overwhelmingly satisfied in every area but one; magic development. 

"Son, are you sure about this?" Glenn asked with pure worry. Being locked up for ten years in the barracks at this age was dangerous to the body and mind.

"Yeah, dad I am. I came up with a training regimen so that I can get stronger so don't worry next time you see me you'll be surprised at what you see." 

"Okay then. I will look forward to that. Oh and don't worry about the family. I'll keep them safe." 

"Alright can you do me one last favor then? On this date ten years from now I will come out at ten in the morning. Please gather everyone in the family including the royal family if you could. Plus, Alan told me about the possibility of me being an uncle. If I truly am when I come out, then I would like to meet my nieces or nephews." Alexander said before closing the door.

Glenn then told everyone in the manor the date Alexander would come out and they all agreed to have a party that day. 

At the Barracks..

I'm a genius! Who would have thought to conjure a formation so that time goes twenty times faster in here!" 

"Now I can cultivate for two hundred years and my body will only age ten years!"
