The Price of Sacrifice

After giving it some thought, I reached a conclusion. While the skill, Twelve Constellations of the Starry Heavens, is exceptional and could prove invaluable in future situations, I realized that sacrificing it might be the best option. After all, a skill can't replace a life.

I gathered my thoughts and addressed the group.

"I've been thinking about it and consulted my Wisdom skill. Can I share what I've learned?"

"Of course," they responded.

"Wisdom says that sacrificing my skill guarantees success in the rescue. The next highest success rate would be—"

"Me going, right? There's no other option," Ogram interrupted.

He was right, though his confidence irked me.

"Yeah, that's correct. A 98% chance. I still think sacrificing the skill is the best choice. It's guaranteed. Lives are at stake, after all."

"And what skill are you giving up?" someone asked.
