Old Eggplant cursed, as he faced the vast Sea of Stars. He fell silent for a moment before ultimately taking off his helmet.
Back in the real world, Old Eggplant looked around his familiar room and suddenly felt a sense of unreality.
Of course, he hadn't reached the point where he couldn't tell reality from illusion, but as the game progressed, Old Eggplant increasingly felt that the world was not as straightforward as it appeared on the surface. In the shadows of the world, evil grew, and people like himself could only be said to see the most superficial things. The true reality of the world was far beyond their reach.
Take, for example, the current instance he was playing in [The Silent Land], named "The Last Lesson." The main task was to explore a school where a murder had occurred and seek out the truth of that year.
It was simple, much like some text-based adventure horror games.
But the problem was, this damn game was on "Morning Star"!
