I Farm Demons : Unholy Necromancer In the Apocalypse

In a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by war with demonic forces, civilization as it once existed is all but gone.  In its place, a new order had emerged, with humans developing magical abilities as each generation passed.  To ensure the survival of their species, society had been divided into Circles, with each member guaranteed a specific job once they reached the age of eighteen. Xylon Sinclair was an orphan with a limited affinity for magic, and he had been reincarnated as a punishment for his past deeds.  In a former life, he was Zephyr, a powerful demon who served the mighty Balthyrov, the Lord of Demons, until he became a perceived threat. He got killed mercilessly and got forced to reincarnate as a fragile human being as a punishment. Upon reaching the age of eighteen, Xylon was told that he will become a Soul Keeper, a role that he knew nothing about. Despite his confusion, he had no choice but to accept this position.  However, rather than following the status quo, Xylon experimented with the system, using his formal knowledge about the demon realm to resurrect demons from thousands of years ago.  What had started as a mere curiosity soon turned into an obsession for Xylon.  He was fascinated by the power that he could wield by bringing the ancient demons back from the dead.  It was as if he had discovered a new realm of possibilities that he had never imagined before. And then, he started to dream bigger... Xylon Sinclair wanted to rule over both realms, human and demon realm... //////////////// For those who wanted to contact me, here is my discord : Yoonaas#3976 p.s: the cover is purely mine , and it is made solely for this webnovel, it shows Zephyr. Xylon's first reincarnation-Part1

As Xylon made his way into the celestial garden, Akuna couldn't help but notice the strange look in his eyes.

She knew better that his intentions were not good at all when it comes to humans, however, she didn't stop him.

Xylon's mind was always working, always calculating, and it was clear that he had a purpose in mind.

With a deep breath, Xylon began to speak to himself, his words soft and measured. "I will be rational," he murmured, "I will start with the easiest souls to reincarnate. Of course, I will make sure to follow the timeline too."

As Xylon spoke, Akuna could sense his determination. Reincarnation was a complex and delicate process, one that required a deep understanding of the souls involved.

The souls were not just divided by their magical elements, but also by the date of their death, the number of their reincarnations, and the age at which they had died.

Xylon was keenly aware of all these factors, and as he looked at the souls that were lined up in front of him, Akuna could see the knowledge in his eyes.

There was something almost mystical about the way he studied each soul, as if he could see into their very essence.

For the first time since his reincarnation, Xylon set aside his pride and accepted that he was a newbie in the field of necromancy.

Being a necromancer of human souls was not something that he was familiar with, and he had to let himself be guided.

He carefully chose a soul that was glowing with a fading yellow color, hidden far away at the back of the soul queue.

He took it into his palm and looked at Akuna, who was standing at a distance from him, uncertain about what he was going to do.

"This is the soul of a baby who died a long time ago," Xylon explained. "The fading yellow light means that this kid has a strong affinity for the earth element. This means that he has no abilities in combat or healing, but he is meant to be a farmer or something similar."

As Akuna nodded with a fearful look in her eyes, Xylon continued to study the soul in his hand. "I think this soul would be very easy for me to reincarnate," he said thoughtfully. "I will start with this one"

To Akuna's surprise, Xylon did not destroy the soul he had chosen. Instead, he cradled it gently in his palm and strode purposefully towards the river that ran through the center of the garden, dividing it neatly in two.

The river, he had read in the ancient tomes, was the final destination for all souls meant to be reincarnated.

Akuna watched him go, a mixture of confusion and concern written plainly on her face.

"You don't have to put it directly in there, master!" she shouted, but Xylon paid her no heed.

"Of course not," he replied over his shoulder, a note of amusement in his voice. "I am aware of every step that needs to be done."

"You are not that strong," she argued, hurrying to catch up with him. "Even with taking some of the energy of the last soul keeper, you are still not considered strong enough to handle the five spells of reincarnation."

Xylon looked at her, a glint of determination in his eye as he waved the soul in front of her face.

"And that is why I am going to test my abilities with this soul. I chose the weakest one, and I am going to see the result."

Akuna's eyes widened. "Do you know the spells?" she asked urgently.

" Of course, what did you think I was doing these past weeks, I made sure to know everything about reincarnation, " he said with a smile on his face .

Xylon's smile grew wider as he sat down beside the river. His weeks of research had paid off, and he was confident in his ability to navigate the intricate process of reincarnation.

He gazed at the river, its opaque white color and unmoving flow a testament to its importance in this mystical realm.

Focusing his energy, Xylon began to cast the first of the five skills required for this intricate process: Psyche Harmonia, also known as the spell of soul resonance.

This spell would allow him to sense the resonance of a soul and determine whether it was ready for reincarnation.

Muttering the words, "Yrrgath vylarion, solastarion!" under his breath, Xylon closed his eyes and concentrated on his task.

A few moments passed, and then a small yellow light appeared in the palm of his hand. Slowly, the light grew in size until it enveloped the entire soul he had chosen.

As Xylon compared this spell to those he had cast before, he realized with a thrill that his powers had grown.

The spell was more potent, the energy more focused, and the results more profound.

" When did you learn all of this !" Akuna said to him with a surprised face .

Xylon gave Akuna a calm but cutting response, his eyes shining with a cold intelligence.

"Did you seriously think that I would waste 15 precious years of my life on you, bitch? You can't be this stupid."

Despite the harsh words, there was a hint of amusement in his voice, as if he found her naivety somewhat amusing.

He turned his attention back to the soul that he held in his hand, noticing a subtle change taking place.

An aura began to emanate from the soul, indicating that it was ready for the next step.

"Huh, you're ready then," he said sarcastically, almost as if talking to himself.

Xylon closed his eyes, and focused his energy inward, feeling the flow of power through his veins.

He took a deep breath and chanted, "Zorakatara, Arkanodin",the words of the second spell , Psychi Katharismos, known to others as the Soul Purge.

With a burst of energy, he raised his hands, and yellow light emanated from his palms.

The light enveloped the soul and started to glow brighter and brighter until it reached its peak, and then faded away.

Xylon knew that the impurities and negative energies that had been holding the soul back were now gone, and it was ready for the next step in the reincarnation process.

Xylon opened his eyes, and his breathing slowed down as he felt the rush of power that came from successfully casting the second spell. He looked at Akuna, who was watching him with wide eyes, still surprised at his abilities.

"Now, we move on to the next step," Xylon said calmly.
