Great-Great-Great-Great Nephew

Azviel wandered the streets of Astria for some time before finally finding his old home. Besides looking a bit more shabby than it was two hundred years ago, it looked practically the same. He had a small smile on his face. "I didn't think it would remain the same...The place I was last before I went into the dungeon."

He knocked on the door. A man in his middle-forties opened the door. "Yes?" On top of his head it read, "Player Mellon Kael, Level 13."

Azviel's smile grew a bit bigger when he saw the name. "Hello, Mr. Kael. I'm here to pay respects to Keille Kael."

Mellon frowned. "Keille? My great-great-great-great grandmother?"

He nodded and bowed. "If you allow so, Mr. Kael."

Mellon narrowed his eyes. It was obvious that he didn't trust Azviel. "I didn't think there was anybody in this age that remembered her."

Azviel tilted his head and gave him a warm smile. "My family was once helped out a long time ago from her. It would be appreciative if I could pay my respects."

Mellon opened the door a bit wider and nodded. "You may come in, Mr. Tebio. I hope you do not mind the mess."

He entered inside and old memories flooded through him of when he was a kid, teenager, and an adult. Azviel heard a young girl's footstep run through the hallway. "Father! Who is this? I told you that I would have friends over today! Why did you just invite someone into the house?"

Mellon rubbed the back of his head. "Apologies, Mr. Tebio, my daughter is a bit undisciplined to guests."

Azviel could see his sister in the young girl. "Gabrie Kael, level 31...At her age I can see why she would be a bit rebellious." He could slowly feel his emotions creeping up on him once more. He frowned and shoved them off like he was slamming a wall.

Azviel held out a hand. "Nice to meet you, Ms. Gabrie. I'm Kalio." She turned away from him. "Hmpf! What's with the formalities? You only look a few years older than me anyways! Now, hurry along! My friends are waiting in my room!"

His hand twitched as she didn't take it. He retracted it and sighed. "If you say so, Ms. Gabrie." Azviel watched as Mellon led him to a different room. "In here, Mr. Tebio. We keep a portrait of everyone in our family. And surely since you've heard of Keille, you would know that Keille's brother, Azviel, mysteriously disappeared two hundred years ago. No one knew what happened to him. Keille was quite distressed after that, but she found a loving man to help her." Mellon exited the room and closed the door behind him, giving Azviel privacy.

Azviel walked up to the picture with his adult sister on it. She had sparkling blue eyes, unlike his. There was also a wide smile on her face that covered hints of sorrow. He smiled and placed the picture back where it was. "I wish you well, Keille. I hope you had a good life." He turned to the pictures of his parents too. "You too, mother, father. I'll be leaving my past behind after this. I will start anew...my apologies if this isn't the path you wanted for me. However, for the past two hundred years, I've thought. I've lived that long with no meaning...But now that I've come to an end with my past, I think it is time for me to let all my feelings out and stop hiding in darkness. Thank you, and goodbye."

He removed his cloak and stared up at the ceiling of the room. "I won't hide anymore...I can't do anything if I do. It's time to restart, as the Demon King boss that everyone calls me." Azviel's name turned red and his wings unfurled.

Mellon knocked on the door and entered. "Mr. Tebio, are you done-" He gasped and fell backwards when he saw him.

Azviel gave him a smile. "Goodbye...Great-great-great-great nephew." He tucked his wings in and phased through the roof. Screams could be heard from below him as he flew through the sky. A single tear fell to the ground, signaling the end of his past life. "No more holding back...I'll do what I want now!"

He shot through the clouds in the sky, icy cold wind beating down on him. Azviel laughed as thunder rumbled through the sky. "It really does feel different to not hide and let myself out." He dived down back at Astria, so fast that it was impossible to see with the naked eye.

With a screams and a huge gust of wind, Azviel landed in the middle of the city street. People started running around and panicking. "IT'S THE DEMON KING!"

"IMPOSSIBLE! WHERE ARE THE KNIGHTS?!"

Arrows flew threw the sky towards him and Azviel deflected them. He snapped his fingers and instantly a ring of fire surrounded where he stood. "Well, hello citizens of Astria!"

When he spoke, that caused even more confusion. "The boss can speak?! This has been unheard of!"

A knight on a horse leapt over the flames. "Demon King! You can talk, so surely you can understand us! We recommend that you go peacefully or we'll have to take you by force!"

Azviel swung his sword and he stabbed right through the knight. "If you want to negotiate, at least bring the city lord out. I don't take orders from people like you."
