I Don't Have the Leveling System Like Others, But I Have Cultivation

Leveling System is a gift that some people get. Having it meant being able to have the power that was the result of hunting monsters in the Dungeon, becoming a Hunter. Oliver didn't have the System, making him just live as a human. This wasn't a problem for most people, but when a human had problems with the Hunters, life would become difficult. However, when he despaired of the Leveling System that he couldn't get, he obtained a ring with a space inside, containing ancient books that turned out to be cultivation methods and skills. He couldn't hunt monsters to level up, but he could increase his strength by meditating. The Hunters, they were no match for him.

Vrom!

Suddenly a black sports car with a very loud exhaust came as Alice wanted to turn back to see Oliver.

The car was very fast, but it was able to stop instantly, right beside Alex.

The door opened, and a blond young man with a handsome face and strong-looking physique got out of the car.

His expression was angry when he saw Alex lying down.

After that, he looked at Alice.

"Alice, are you doing this because of that man?" asked the man, Leo.

He pointed at Oliver who was showing an erratic expression, sometimes knitting his eyebrows.

When he looked around, only then did he realize that there were several Hunter Police who had arrived, obviously they were contacted since he was chased by Alex.

However, they didn't seem to dare to break up this conflict since it became a conflict between Alice and Leo.

The former because she was very strong. The latter although weaker, but his father was very influential in Vera City.

Asked by Leo, Alice calmly replied, "This is what I need to do. If you object, do something against me."

Her words had the meaning of indifference towards Leo as well as a challenge.

As a man who had a crush on her, Leo's feelings were somewhat shaken so his breathing became somewhat rapid.

His anger seemed to be pushed up, yet the one he hated the most was obviously Oliver.

His eyes seemed to want to kill him when he looked at him

However, he restrained himself in the end.

He pulled the helplessly lying Alex into his car before driving away.

As if he was just an insignificant insect, Alice immediately turned around when he had just left.

She stared at Oliver who had no other choice but to stare at the woman since they were facing each other.

Speaking of familiarity with her, Oliver wasn't so sure either.

Alice was not the type of woman who hung out excessively with men. She only talked to men when there was a need so it could be said that she had no friends among men.

However, there were light interactions that they often had during chance encounters -- like meeting at a bookstore for example, Alice would always approach him.

Over time, she started paying attention to him at school and eventually gave him chocolates on Valentine's Day.

That was the beginning of everything.

Alice's violet eyes looked him up and down as she walked up to him.

"Looks like you've become a Hunter," she said in a soft tone, obviously aware since she saw how he ran away.

"Maybe I got lucky after getting into trouble," Oliver replied.

His voice was a little quiet because he was feeling nervous plus he felt like something was pushing him to do who knows what.

Because of that impulse, a kind of spirit appeared, making him think that maybe he was in the process of becoming worthy of Alice since he became a cultivator.

"This is good news, I can worry less about your safety since you have powers." Alice smiled slightly at his reply while he thought strangely after hearing her worry about his safety.

Did she really have such worries all this time?

"I think I need to treat you to celebrate your good fortune," Alice added, laughing slightly.

Unlike Oliver, she seemed to have no awkwardness at all when she spoke.

She motioned for him to follow her to the restaurant where she had jumped off earlier.

Uncomfortable to refuse since she had just helped him, Oliver chose to follow her, and he knew he would feel like he was missing out on a great opportunity if he didn't follow her.

Even if it wasn't because of Alice's special feelings for him, being close to her was still something important because Alice was very powerful in addition to potentially being one of the biggest Hunter.

He attracted the attention of the other restaurant guests as he followed Alice.

They went up to the second floor because Alice was on the second floor earlier.

This is a more private place. Each table was separated by small walls.

Alice called out to one of the waiters as she walked up to a table next to the balcony that was her previous table.

"Give me another plate of fried rice and sweet iced tea," she said to the waiter.

The waiter nodded instantly and went to the kitchen quickly.

Alice's table wasn't big. It was a table for two as there were two chairs.

On it was a plate of fried rice and a cup of iced tea. They looked uneaten.

"Have a seat," Alice said, not sitting right away but letting Oliver sit first.

She just looked more and more excited which Oliver thought was different from her usual personality. At school, he almost always saw her as a calm woman.

When he sat down, Alice sat down too.

After that, the previous waiter came with a tray containing one plate and one cup, which were exactly the same as the first plate and cup at the table.

Politely, the waiter placed the plate and cup in front of Oliver. He knew who they were for.

Every now and then he would glance at Oliver curiously.

He was quite familiar with Alice because the latter often ate at this restaurant.

Over time, he sometimes thought of Alice as an untouchable woman because of the two things she possessed, beauty and strength.

However, as a young woman, Alice still seemed to have a normal way of thinking, including liking a young man with a handsome face.

"Please, sir!" The waiter invited Oliver to eat before leaving with his tray.

Since the waiter had already said that, so Alice just invited Oliver to eat with a signal using her hand.

This really felt awkward for Oliver.

"I think you're being too kind to me." In the end, he forced himself to speak with as casual an expression as possible just so he could feel relaxed.

Fortunately it seemed to work as speaking managed to make him feel quite confident.

Surprisingly Alice suddenly looked awkward. Her eyes moved to the side, like she wanted to avoid his gaze. However, it was only for a moment, she looked into his eyes again.

Maybe she felt shy but she was able to regain her confidence quickly.

Oliver certainly didn't keep talking about it.

He picked up the spoon and started eating, followed by Alice.

That woman was probably starving because when she ate, she did it quite fast.

She kept stuffing the fried rice into her mouth. Only when there was half of it left did she relax somewhat.

"By the way, Oliver, what kind of Innate Skills do you have?" asked Alice, starting to talk about him.

Every Hunter did have one Innate Skill given to them by the System. This tended to be the decisive starting point.

A person with a good Innate Skill would be easy to develop.

Alice looked very curious as she was sure that the Innate Skill possessed by Oliver was exceptional or there was no way he could develop so quickly.

Of course, this was a difficult question for Oliver to answer, unless he said that the Heaven Light Ring was his Innate Skill because although his cultivation method did have something similar to an Innate Skill, it was rather difficult to be said to be a skill.

However, he felt that the Heaven Light Ring was an ace up his sleeve that he needed to hide due to its killing properties.

He thought for quite a while as he couldn't answer.

Fortunately, Alice suddenly said, "it seems to be something very unique."

She smiled when she said that.

"Well, you don't have to say it if it's something that needs to be kept secret," she added.

Alice was a smart woman, everyone knew that. However, sometimes many of her friends would say that she was the kind who understood other people's difficulties well.

Oliver finally understood this.

She made others not fall into a difficult position when talking to her.

"Thank you," Oliver said.

He was grateful that she didn't push him.

"How about you join my team?" Alice changed the topic.

"Although I don't have a guild yet, I've formed a team with some amazing hunters. If you join this team, you can raise your level faster."

This was a very attractive offer. Other Hunters would probably be overjoyed, but Oliver's way of progressing was not by leveling.

Besides, joining an elite group while he was still weak would only lead to complaints from the other members.

He immediately shook his head to decline Alice's offer.

"I don't want to trouble you, but no need to worry, I already have a better leveling plan," he said in response.
