Tanxiang Town

Finsished fighting everyone Tian Long has a chance to take a break as that last fight had physically exhausted him whereas not killing all the other challengers took a lot of mental power out of him as his instincts screamed for him to do it.

Looking at the source of his tiresome experience he can only muster a blaming gaze that asked for some compensation. "Here, you can have half of the bronze coins for expenditure within the town as payment for the fights" Treating him as if he was an actual gladiator she gave him his 'compensation'. Noticing that he seemed slightly down she asked what was up with him. Regretting almost immediately as he pouted and said "I was hoping I could get some other form of compen...".

Yet again pulling Huanying out on him she glares at him with some slight disgust that sends Tian Long reeling back a bit as he didn't expect her to take his little joke so serious. Yes, he had hoped but he knew it was unlikely to the extent he thinks that he would have more luck in surving the realm exploding.

*Cough*

The toll guard coughed as he interupted what seemed like a lovers quarrel and asked them to hand over there toll payment as those ahead of them had already headed inside and those behind her were slightly tense as they saw her pull a katana out at her 'fiancee'.

Realising where they were Sarah slightly burned with embarrassment as she retracted her blade and gave her payment to the guard which was twenty bronze coins. Raising his brow the guard noticed that she only payed for herself and then looked at Tian Long for his payment and had to cough again to bring Tian Long out of his stupor as he tried to process what had just happened and why she would react so violently towards the physical touch of him.

Woken from his inner thoughts he hands the guard the toll and rushes to her side as her tried to explain that he was only joking with her however she had gone back to the point of coldly ignoring him however something inside of Tian Long panicked and made him explain everything to her although he usually wouldn't have done that for anyone else.

Noting the extreme change in his temprement he mocks himself by saying "Have you fallen in love or something". Once he went down that road he realised that as soon as he had met her something had changed within himself that although subtle at first had become bigger and more noticeable the longer he spent time with Sarah. Forgetting this train of thought placing it in the back of his mind he just continues walking beside her trying to initiate small talk yet again trying to get back to where they had made it before.

Walking down the streets she looks at all the signs in curiosity and she realises that she must be in the populace area where all the shops for the lower class are. Drawing looks at them from others as Sarah and Tian Long stood out way too much amongst the crowd. Uncomfortable she speeds up looking for inns and finds a place called Yangshen Inn that looks pretty high class as it looks like it was modelled after a temple from the Shang dynasty.

The inn itself had nine floors and was decorated on the outside with red tiles until the ninth floor where they have used purple tiles which was used to denote people of significance and royalty.

Walking up the steps Sarah hands ten silver coins to Tian Long and told him that he is to buy the entire ninth floor for themselves. Flabbergasted he asked to make sure.

"Yes, now shut up and go pay we have arrived" Sarah ordered him as if it was only natural he listened.

Sighing to himself about how cold she had become again he resigned himself to listening hoping it will calm her down enough to at least talk to him without it being an order. Clearing his thoughts he walked up to the receptionist who luckily happened to be a woman. Smiling at her he dazzled her and then spoke up about his wish to purchase the entire ninth floor for the week. Shocked by the handsome man the receptionist had to make sure she wasn't dreaming. Pinching herself on her inner thigh, to make sure she asked him again and got the same reply.

"Sorry, however it is impossible to book the entire floor as there are a couple of guests currently up there" Regretfully informed by the receptionist Tian Long snorts and said that he was willing to pay double for the rooms occupied. Shocked yet again as that would cost the man at least thirteen silver coins if he paid double for the occupied room, informing him that she will need to have to get the owner to personally oversee the transaction she rushed away.

Two minutes later she arrived with another woman who he presumed to be the owner and another round od bargains began until the owner was satisfied. The new price was triple the price for the occupied rooms which caused him to grit his teeth yet reluctantly agree as he knew Sarah wouldn't like to be kept waiting for too long.

Speaking of Sarah she had been watching this entire ordeal from the entrance and wasn't even noticed until Tian Long came back to her asking her for more silver coins as the price ended up being eighteen silver coins. Nonchalantly handing him the money she just looks at the owner and said to her in a cold tone "The floor better be worth its price". Unphased by her attitude she just faintly smiles as she doesn't want to chase away a potential client full of cash to another inn.

"Please be assured. Once we have informed the occupiers of the rooms bought I will personally lead you to the rooms." Shocked at the owners proclamation as she has never given this much preference to anyone, even the governors son who frequently buys whole floors just to interact with her.

After waiting for twenty minutes Sarah and Tian Long had grown bored of waiting for the owner clearing the rooms. Another ten minutes later they finally see the owner come down and walk over to them. Personally leading them as she had said the owner introduces herself as Charlotte and tries to make small talk yet only receives answers from Tian Long which slightly bothered her but she had seen plenty of people come and go from the inn and Sarah wasn't the first cold client to have come in.

Reaching the ninth floor Charlotte just leaves them there and said that the could pick any room and that each room has two personal maids to service them. She also notified them that thanks to them buying the whole floor that all the maids would congregate in the chosen room and sleep in the other rooms. Choosing the room at the end of the corridor Sarah enters without inhibitions and then locks it informing Tian Long he will use a seperate room leaving him standing awkwardly in the hall as he assumed they would share a room. Shrugging his shoulders her chose the room closest to hers. Just like this their first night within a human town has come to a close as they sleep the night away. Though it didn't take Tian Long long to fall asleep Sarah had difficulty sleeping as she was used to sleeping during the day however this gave her time to reflect on the day until her usual sleeping time.
