Middle Area

Following her usual routine Sarah gets up and leaves the tree and heads to the lake for a wash in the morning. Having contemplated yesterday she decides to move into the middle area of the forest. Apart from her usual routine during the year Sarah would often take time to scout out the path to the middle area of the forest and sometimes the exit to the human world however that didn't go so well as she ran into a group of people that consisted of a Rank 2 guardian that scared her to death when he suddenly spun around and gave her a glare daring her to attack the group.

Following the path she had scoped out that leads to an environment that's slightly similar to her current one only that it was a mini waterfall cave that she had decided to live in this time as it could act as a screen to prevent people and animals seeing and attack her although she was relatively able to fight it out with them she didn't want to take the risk to attract beasts she couldn't deal with.

~Two hours and a half later~

The forest was bigger than you would think as even though she was sixteen times faster than the average human it still took her two hours just to arrive at the mid-section of the middle area of the forest which makes her think about how long she would have to travel just to make it the core area of the forest. Settling herself in a lying position behind the waterfall she just listens to the falling of the water to calm her state of mind and body.

~Five hours later~

After a year in a wolves body Sarah has now become a day sleeper instead of a night sleeper. Now she only starts hunting when it becomes late evening and doesn't come back until the sun starts rising. Shaking her body to dry herself after going through the waterfall Sarah starts hunting in the vicinity of her new home.

~Twenty minutes later~ {Warning: Gore ahead}

Stalking a deer through the bushes Sarah waits ready to pounce when it lets its guard down. Unsuspecting of the disaster that awaits it the deer ducks its head down to start eating some grass, this was the exact moment she was waiting for. Pouncing at the deer Sarah swipes her right paw towards the throat of the deer so it can't make any noise when it is being killed and swipes her left paw towards the underside of the deer's stomach.

*Puchi*

*Pshhht*

Pulling her right claws back immediately Sarah drags most of the deer's throat right off of its body bring forth a tidal wave of blood that just wouldn't stop. Whilst she was ripping the deer's throat out with her right claws she also ripped away the stomach skin and abdominal muscles that held her organs from falling from it's body. The organs fell one by one making for one gruesome sight that would make any ordinary human retch at the sight however this had no effect on Sarah as her ideals and mentality, although cold from the beginning would have never been able to decisively be this cruel, have been changed by her bestial way of living for the past year to become slightly more bloodthirsty and less affected by thought of killing animals and especially humans since they would kill her and enslave her as someone's pet which was the worst case scenario for her as freedom is still the one thing she desires the most and will never allow herself to be someone's pet.

*Shuffle*

Disrupted by the moving sound from the surroundings she realises that the blood has attracted some predators.

*Grrrrr*

Growling towards them as a show of dominance set a few of them off and the rest decided to wait and see. Not willing to be ganged up on Sarah summons her shadow wolves and within seconds they have dominated the animals that dared to surround her, even the ones taking a wait-and-see attitude weren't let off. From the look of what remains of the animals she had attracted four tigers and three bears. Digging into the beasts she had killed she receives the notifications for eating and killing them.

"You have gained 12,600 Experience points"

"Level Progress: 16,475/4400"

"You have gained 7 Evolution points"

"Do you wish to undergo rank up now? (Note: Unlike evolutions rank ups can be interupted which will cause the one breaking through slight internal injuries and drop them back to their respective Level 8)"

Linda, the voice of the system, had had the way she spoke out notificatioins tweaked so as to sound more like a person.

"No" Sarah rejected almost immediately hearing that her rank up could be interupted. Without hesitating Sarah rushed back to her new home to prepare for her rank up.

~Two hours later~

"Ok, rank up." Sarah commanded starting her rank up process.

Unlike the evolution process that was unbearably painful, the rank up process was actually pleasant and calming. Coalescing around her the various elements entered her body condensing into coffee bean sized cores within her body. They condensed within her abdominal region, not too close yet not too far away from each other.

~Twenty minutes later~

Finishing her rank up process she felt like the cave had gotten smaller only to realise that she had just grown, a lot. she now stood at a height of five foot and a had a length of seven foot. After feeling her newfound power she asks Linda about her cores what they mean.

"Beasts are born with natural affinities and when they go through their first rank up they condense their elemental affinities as cores which need to be levelled up. The more cores you have the higher your potential however your cores need to be levelled up seperately e.g. You have five cores which means you need to level up to Level 9 for each core. And the goal for Rank 2 would be to mix all your cores together into a mixed core, more information will be released at a later date when you have reached Rank 2"

Although she had a rough understanding from the ancestral memories she received, she still asked to be completely sure of what she had to do. With all of this done with she can go to sleep she'll check her stats tomorrow.
