Journey through the sky (Part 2) - Day Four

Setting off once again Tian Long heads towards the forbidden region of the North. Jian was still asleep as even though all he did was sit on top of Tian Long's head he still wasted a lot of stamina by enduring the wind. It also didn't help that he was only human unlike Tian Long who was a divine dragon that has a large amount of stamina.

Thanks to Jian being asleep and unable to hold on properly Tian Long had to go slower than usual which meant that the journey would take longer than if he was alone. Tian Long had plenty of times thought of just dropping Jian off somewhere and then leave him but decided against it each time as it would be unfair to Jian as he also wants to help, he can't just expect him to have the same stamina as him. In fact even with them slowing down like this they still had plenty of time before the two weeks deadline that Elder Sui had set for them however Tian Long was urgent in doing it in the shortest time possible.

Sighing to himself about their current predicament he swore that when he finds out who harmed Sarah will wish themselves dead but be unable as he will keep them alive to suffer under his wrath. There is always one thing you do not do to a dragon, touch its reverse scale and unfortuantely whoever was stupid enough to harm Sarah had triggered him to have an unending wrath towards them and their organisation.

*Achoo*

Somewhere far away while Tian Long is swearing to end the organisation that assassin worked for a man that looked sickly and pale sneezed wondering who was cursing him. How wrong he was because Tian Long was not cursing him he was setting himself a promise and goal to work towards and the heavens had deemed fit to give him a warning however he did not know that was what the sneeze was and just let it be not knowing the pain he will be in the future. His organisation will also regret accepting the mission to assassinate Ming'er as not only will Sarah put all her effort into eliminating them they also have a raging dragon on the hunt.

Slowly awakening Jian rose and then held on to Tian Long and gave him the go ahead to go a bit faster. Although not at the same speed he flew yesterday he was still cutting down the time needed to get their by a lot.

*Swoosh*

*Puchi*

"Arrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh" Tian Long let loose a pain filled roar as a beam of energy pierced his fifth leg that was in the middle.

"Hey, Tian you ok?" Jian asked in concern.

"I'll live, but goddamn that hurt. What the fuck was that?" Tian Long assured Jian that he was alright and then went on to ask what that beam was.

*Swoosh*

Prepared this time Tian Long was able to dodge as Jian held on for dear life as Tian Long couldn't hold back when faced with this kind of threat.

*Roooooaaaaaaaaar*

Tian Long let out a soul shaking roar which cleared the nearby clouds. Warily looking around Tian Long spots a weird looking flying beast that is shaking unsteadily. Thinking that it was out of fear for a predator from the top of the food chain Tian was smirking to himself however he then noticed that it was actually some sort of man-made machine that could fly.

The machine wasn't that big it was only about thirty metres long and twenty five metres wide with four massive propellors hanging out the side of it using the air to fly (Basically a mini-helicarrier from S.H.I.E.L.D.). And from what Tian Long could see it was being manned by at least ten humans and then it also had four staff which were shooting those beams of energy at Tian Long (although only two of the beam cannons were working), which he would dodge as he was prepared and knew where the beams were coming from. He could also see some maintenance staff running to and fro the deck doing whatever it was that they were doing.

The factors that made it shake unstabily is that the aircraft had originally been cloaked to hide from airborne beasts and then began its assault on Tian Long however after he roared it vibrated the ship injuring some of the components and parts around the ship. Normally the ship had a cloaking function, the four massive beam cannons and around twenty mini-laser turrets but they had been damaged by the roar and were not functioning properly. That is also why the maintenance staff were running everywhere as they were trying to fix everything.

Deciding he had had enough playing around he let loose his azure flames that burnt the ship into cinders and the ash was then dispersed by the wind however not before the people piloting the aircraft could send an emergency signal which let their higher ups know that something had defeated them and was on its way.

Jian's face was now pale as he was dangerously near collapse from all the excercise over the past hour which although was nothing compared to what he had to endure yesterday. But now he had to endure being swung side to side, up and down for the better part of an hour and his arms were aching and if not for his strong will and determination he would have already let go and fell to his doom, although Tian Long would have been able to catch him after he fell anyway however his pride wouldn't let him fall off.

Realising that because of his playing around Jian was now exhausted and near to collapsing he apologised for not realising and ending the fight sooner. Although he could have ended the fight sooner he didn't as he was enjoying himself as he was curious about what such a toy could do as it had actually managed to pierce his dragon scales which were pretty much immune to any energy based attacks however one attack from those 'toys' had actually harmed him which he found intriguing.

Waving his hands to show that it didn't really matter to him and that he was forgiven. Sighing in relief at his friends forgiveness Tian Long slowly makes his way onwards towards the forbidden region, and then it was there that it struck him that he had just wasted an hour, a GODDAMN HOUR because of his intrigue towards the aircraft. Cursing himself mentally as he moved onwards hoping that he can move faster.

Landing at the edge of the fobidden zone after eight hours which made it just at late evening which made it perfect timing as they can settle here as it is just beyond the forbidden region's forzen climate and it was miles away from any human settlement and it is rare to find humans venturing here unless A) That human is really strong or B) It is a sect doing some training which the beast families ruling the region allow as they use the humans for training their young also. But what were the chances that he would bump into either scenario.

Chuckling to himself at the thought he then pales and quickly tells Jian to get off. Hurriedly getting off Tian Long's back as he could sense the urgency in his voice Tian Long starts shifting when he was mid-way down his back. landing on the ground Jian turned around to see the usual Tian Long the he was used to before and then asked with a hint of concern after seeing the paleness of his face.

Answering him Tian Long then explained that there could be very strong humans here that could capture him if he shows his true form and that there was also a possibility for one of the sects or organisations to be here for trials to be held in the forbidden region. After hearing this Jian also paled at the possibility as although he is now a sword lord that wouldn't help against someone who outclassed him by so much as usually the disiples that are sent here are of at least Rank 2 level 4 and for someone to go through the forbidden regioins on their own would at least have to have strength above Rank 4.

Shaking those thoughts from their heads they quickly set up camp before heading to sleep, though it would be a light sleep as they would need to be awrae of their surroundings at all times.
