Frustration

Dante was the first to open his eyes, followed soon by the rest. As they look around themselves Rias asks "how long were we in there?"

"Depends" Dante says "to our minds it has been a week, while to our bodies it has been a few hours" he then starts stretching along with the rest "it is as I have said, our minds are faster than we think they are, I just helped concentrate their power"

Sona looked at the hoop she was holding thoughtfully "this is revolutionary" she then turned to Dante "can others use it?"

Dante took a thoughtful pose "well, yes and no" he said vaguely "first of all the, let's call it 'mind hoop' is powered by the combined energy of everyone entering it. This means that if the people entering it can't power it safely it will not work"

"So how much power does it take?" Sona asks

"Give or take half an ultimate devil level of energy per real world hour" looking at everyone's shocked faces he continued "the other requirement is an intricate knowledge of how the mind works"

"You mean 'a mind' works not 'the mind'… right?" Shuri asks as she caught something in his words

"No, I mean the mind; all minds are composed of several existential elements. Things like emotions, logic, memories, instincts and so on and so forth. It doesn't matter what you are as long as a being is completely sentient, they have these and so I call it the sentient mind or the mind for short"

Sona looked about ready to give up but asked anyway "who do you think can operate it at your level?" she asked

After some thought he answered "the dream dragon, Great Red" Dante actively ignored everyone's looks of disbelief and continued "I met him a couple years back to learn the law of dream from him"

[Uh, Dante] Solo tried to speak

Dante looked amused "I threatened to turn him pink and did it when he still refused"

[Yo, Dante] Solo spoke slightly louder

He then started laughing "when he finally explained it, the law of dream turned out to be a part of the law of mind, which I already was almost at mastery of and with the law of dream I completely mastered it"

Then Solo shouted [DANTE]

Dante frowned 'what?' he replied internally then he noticed the looks of disbelief he was receiving

It was Issei's words that brought clarity though "um Sensei, who is dream dragon and what are these laws you are talking about?"

Dante's eyes widened 'SHIT' he cursed himself

It took some manoeuvring but he was able to focus the conversation on the dream dragon and avoid talking about the laws.

At the moment Dante is in Sparda. He had given the young devils all they needed to grow; the rest is up to Azazel. the one's that went to fix the God system in heaven were his parents as Kunou is spending her time at the moment with 'uncle Kurama'

It started as a joke by Dante/Naruto at Kurama. But the at the time eight years old took a great liking to him and though he would never admit it Kurama felt the same. Currently he was teaching her how to control her energy to create a [Bijuudama] among other things.

Dante's lovelies were also busy at the moment with their respective matters. This gave Dante the rare free time to focus on a problem he has had since before he went to the Shinobi world. It has been countless years, yet his mastery over the force has not broken past mastering the Law of Force.

"Still haven't broke through?" Solo asks as he teleports in to the field that Dante was using to meditate on the laws of existence

"*Sigh* no, it's like I'm missing something important" he then turned to Solo "you sure you can't help me?"

[You told me not to] Solo countered "you can always revoke your order"

"I didn't mean tell me, I mean offer me a direction to progress" Dante adjusted his request

After some thought Solo looked as if he got an idea "the world that will help you progress is Harry Potter world…" Solo looked as if struggling then released a frustrated sigh "that is all I can say" he finished, shrugging

"I'll take it" Dante countered with a humourless smile

Solo took a moment then asked "want to talk about it?"

"What is there to talk about?" Dante said while busying himself with nothing

"Even Gods feel loss Dante" Solo said, placing a hand on Dante's shoulder

"I know, but…" Dante felt his frustration return

*A few days earlier*

"Hey old man" Naruto said as he burst into the room as always "I leave for a few years and I come back to find you in the hospital, the hell have you been smoking"

"hahaha" Hiruzen laughed tiredly "welcome back Naruto, glad to see it only took me dying for you to visit" he joked from his place on the hospital bed

"Who the fuck do you think is dying old man? I will get you fixed up in a jiffy" Naruto said trying to lighten the mood

"No, Naruto" Hiruzen said in a calm tone

"What?" Naruto said in disbelief "what do you mean no?" Naruto said as tears welled in his eyes

"I have lived a happy life Naruto. I saw the village safe and protected, I saw peace spread among the elemental nations like none before and most importantly" Hiruzen pauses as he shifts his head to look at naruto "I saw my children and grandchildren grow up" he then smiled gently at the now Crying Naruto "my only regret is that I never saw you grow. I mean I heard 'they grow up fast' but you broke all records" he finished weakly

"No, please" Naruto cried as he held Hiruzen's hand. To Dante/Naruto, Hiruzen was the first person he could trust fully and call family. He is not without his faults, but he cared truly and fully for Naruto and that is why to Dante, he is losing a family member

"You have become a great man, Naruto, or should I say a great God" Hiruzen still tried to lighten the mood. On his death bed and in his last breath Hiruzen called to Naruto who was still holding his hand crying "always remember Naruto, I love you" Hiruzen said as his eyes were losing their life lustre

Naruto as he was crying replied in a soft voice "I love you too, grandpa"

*Back with Dante and Solo*

"he was the first person to be my family truly and absolutely Solo. He is the first family I ever lost, so excuse me for not dealing with it perfectly" Dante said with some venom in his voice

"You need something to take your frustration on" Solo offered. When Dante didn't deny it he continued "how about khaos brigade?"

"No, they are Issei's problem, I want to use them to help him grow" Dante denied the idea

"Trihexia?" Solo suggested

"As strong as Great Red and pure evil… ok, but I'll need to hunt Walburga first to get Incinerate Anthem" Dante explained "I might as well get the true longinus and complete the holy trinity of holy spear, cross and my grail"

"Oh yeah that will help with…" Solo then abruptly stopped "it'll help" he said, sighing

"Gotcha" Dante said gently patting Solo on his shoulder

"I still hate it" Solo said while giving Dante the stink eye

"But you know you love me" Dante said with a lopsided smile and arms open wide

Solo just looked at him deadpan and without saying anything he just turned around and started walking away. After a few steps Dante can hear Solo mumble "dumbass"

Dante simply smiled at Solo as he felt a bit better. Deciding he spent enough time training he went looking for his lovelies to fuss over.
