That night, as expected, Nathan was waiting for me at the diner even before it closed. He was dressed casually, which I found more attractive, but I would bet that his shirt alone must have cost more than my one-month salary.
"I'm almost finished with my shift," I told him as he took a sit on a vacant table at the far side of the diner. "Would you like a coffee while you wait?"
"Sure." He took out his phone as it started beeping. I decided to leave him alone as I attended to his coffee and the other customers of the shop.
I made a glance in his direction, still unable to believe that I was going out with him. I still could not figure out the reason why he was interested in a girl like me. He could have any girl he wanted, but I could not think of anything special about me that I could offer him.
